What I liked about this restaurant was how quickly they were able to accommodate a large party of 17 people and they don't take reservations. Great job there! I liked our waitress Alicia who was nice and patient taking our order. My drink, the Purple Haze was yummy but my food unfortunately fell all the way flat. I ordered Combo C which consisted of 1 snow crab cluster, shrimp, a mini corn, and 2 red skin potatoes. I requested the Wild Crab sauce with spicy seasoning. My seafood boil came spicy but very dry. As shown in the accompanying picture, I had zero liquid in my bag which I a believe is why my food was bland and lacked flavor. I requested sauce which was delivered in a few minutes but it did not help at all. I may try this place again when I visit Georgia but I am not in any rush to do so as I was not happy. So we enter Wold Crab and the server started fussing at the "hostess" about not taking us to a seat. It could've been playful but it was a bit unprofessional. As we're walking to our seat we notice that the floors are very sticky. Could've been all of the juice from the boils in a bag. While food does take a minute to come out, I will admit that it was very flavorful. My party of 4 ( 2 adults and 2 kids) left nothing to the imagination. The drinks were relatively cheap and while my lemon drop wasn't the tastiest, it definitely had plenty of alcohol. I would definitely return. First time in GA, First time at wild Crab, Hostess was great wish I remembered her name but super friendly and really cute! As soon as we told her we were visiting from NY she smiled super big and gave us wishes for a great time! Our waitress also really sweet, checked on the New England chowder for me as I don't eat pork and since it had bacon she came back and advised she didn't add to our app order. Drinks were great and strong lol boil over all was super tasty, fresh and when they say medium heat they really mean medium heat lol! One of the best boils I have had in a long time. We were a Late arrival after long day of travel. Our server Michelle was friendly and welcoming. We had southern style dinner in a Cajun style, a NOLA vibe. Our was seafood boiled in bags with a variety of seasoning options, then served with buckets and pans. Had to extract mine and shake it off before the butter soaked in. Went to the Hiram location. I wasn't really impressed. We started off the cheese sticks. They came out in 4 mins. I bit right thru it. Meaning, no string of cheese hanging thru from bite. Either it wasn't cooked or it's microwaved. I asked about spinach dip since I saw it on Instagram. They didn't have it at this location. Next, I ordered a shrimp po boy. It looked good, but It was luke warm as well as the fries. It was filled with salad shrimp. A bunch of little shrimp. Batter fell off of majority of them. Fresh? I doubt it. My husband had a boil. He said it was ok. The sauce was more spicy than anything (he ordered mild). We ate and left. I not pressed on going back to this one but I may try the other location. read more

Worst restaurant experience in my 57 years! My God, where do I start. We took our 13 year old granddaughter there for her birthday, along with a party of 10 others. Arrived at 7pm on Friday night, waited 15 minutes for a waitress to show up to take our drink orders. No wine, just beer and cocktails. Waited another 20 minutes to get our drinks and order dinner. Out of this, out of that, etc. Everyone eventually found something on the menu they did have, and we waited. That's when the real fun started. At 7:45pm the DJ started blaring the music so loud you couldn't talk to anyone at the table, or the waitress. Is this a restaurant or a night club? We had to ask if they could turn it down just a bit, which they did, as our 93 mother couldn't hear anything. Food arrived 30 minutes later, barely warm, no silverware, just cheap plastic forks. Took two bites and asked for the bill. Could not understand the positive reviews for this place. read more

Nice place to take your family for dinner. I would like to add a few things that I found unacceptable at this place, firstly, the place was understaffed to say the least. Secondly, my waitress was extremely nasty and very unprofessional to my family. Our food took forever, and her comments were she's not in the kitchen. I looked in the kitchen areas and it was these young men back there preparing the food, nothing wrong with these young men cooking, but it seems to me that they needed supervision. Next, our food was not prepared properly and was returned and of course , our waitress said there was a no return policy. I also ordered a seafood broiled and the potatoes was rotten. I would not recommend this place if you want to have a conversation with people at your table. The music is so loud you can't even hear yourself think in this place. Before we came in we looked on the menu online, none of the items show market price, but the prices were definitely higher in the restaurant. The king crab online showed $45/lb while inside it was $85/lb. The menu gives you an option between shrimp with head on $19/lb and shrimp with head off $24/lb. When we ordered shrimp with head on we were told they don't have any, so I was forced to buy the more expensive shrimp. This also made me realize none of the food was fresh but previously frozen. The snow crab legs were soft and hard to crack, even with the (nut!) cracker they gave us after having to ask for something to help crack the crab legs in the first place. A cracker should've been provided to begin with. I also asked if the potatoes and corn could be substituted due to dietary restrictions (diabetes) and was told they are unable to. I was not about to pay $7! for a side of broccoli. That's ridiculous. The unsweetened tea was disgusting and bitter. The cilantro lime mixed with garlic butter tasted like watery hot sauce. I really had HIGH hopes for this place since we finally got a crab spot in the country. Of course I read all the Yelp reviews but wanted to experience it for myself. I ordered take out, the crab legs and crawfish bag. The customer service from the time you walked in was amazing. The young ladies were very welcoming. My food was ready upon my arrival. Long story short, we I got home to get it, unfortunately I found hair in the bag. Hair on food for me is very unsanitary. I called to advise and again, the hostess and the manager were very understanding. We suggested maybe wear hair nets since this isn't the first time I've seen a review about hair in their food. Unfortunately, I probably couldn't stomach eating from here again because of the hair situation. I had been very excited to eat here for my first time. So we waited for my daughters birthday to try it out. We showed up at 5:00 trying to beat the larger dinner crowd and even though we were first on the waiting list it took 25 mins to get seated. Then it took another 13 mins before a server approached us. We ordered 4 5 lb Dungeness Crab pots. It comes with 2 small potatoes and a small corn on the cob. You can't substitute any of these so I ordered a $2 side of Cole slaw that came in this tiny cup. It's about 2 oz of slaw. Food was ok but nothing fancy they serve it to you in a plastic bag. It wasn't worth the total bill of $138 (before tip and no drinks just water). It's too expensive for the amount of food and the poor quality of service and food. I ordered popcorn shrimp and hush puppies for my daughter since there isn't a kids menu. My order was good. The flavors were all there. I needed just a touch more of sauce. The small potato was extremely small. It would be nice if there were a few more red potatoes. The corn was nice as well. My husband's ordered with the crawfish and sausage was flavorful but he stated it was not spicy (hot) at all. My daughter enjoyed her meal. We all tatsted the shrimp and hush puppies. This was my first time ever here. I walked in with my girlfriend, and the volume of the music was louder than a club. Couldn't even hear the hostess ask her questions. Since it was so loud, i asked if we could sit outside. No heaters outside. Thankfully our waitress, Chelsey (i believe) was very kind and understanding that we wanted to hear each other. She was very sweet, i would give her a 10/10. I saw there were cooked and steamed oysters on the menu, so i asked her if we could get raw on a half shell. She checked with the kitchen and they had told her that they could do raw on a half shell. What came next was appalling. That poor girl came out with the smelliest, slimiest oysters I've ever seen or smelled. I've never actually smelled what bad oysters smell like, but tonight was the night. Mind you, i know oysters are slimy, but what was in these shells were past acceptable. Go ahead, look up what bad oysters smell like. I'll wait....... Ok cool, yeah that's what these smelled like. Oh yeah, they were room temperature and you could feel the bottom of the shells that they were once frozen, then thawed. Room temperature oysters.... i would have been sick for days. And because of the load music we could not have a conversation with our party. This was the first time my daughter and I ate at one of the new seafood boil places that seem to be popping up all over. I'm usually not a big seafood boil fan, since it tends to taste all the same - shrimp and corn are hard to tell apart by flavor - but I was impressed with the flavor of the food here. I got the clams since they are hard to find at most restaurants. They were very good, although I do miss the HUGE steamer clams of the North Atlantic area. The first order was awesome, the second order had 20 shells in it, but 16 of them were empty :( The waiter was great and brought us an order to replace them with no charge. I got them with the lemon pepper seasoning and the mild sauce. The corn wasn't soggy like most corn on the cob at restaurants (like Captain Ds) and the potato was cooked perfectly and a good size. My daughter got the crab and lobster tail - the crab was good (could use one of those little seafood forks, not just the crab cracker) but the lobster wasn't worth the price. She got just the garlic butter with no seasoning but thought it was bland, so dipped her food in my sauce. read more

If I could leave a negative star review I would. Where do I begin??? Arrived at restaurant around 3:40pm on a Sunday. Walked to host stand, told them we had 6 people, she said she would seat us shortly. Restaurant was empty. Maybe 4 tables total when we arrived. Waited over 30mins and was given the excuse that they only had 2 servers while we saw 2 people behind the bar, 4 ppl standing up front and 3 girls walking around the dining room. Confusing for sure. Then the hostess comes over to tell us she sat a different party of 6 who came in after us on accident. Like, how???? I gave you my name. Whatever. We finally get sat. Bartender comes to take care of us. Food was less than mediocre. Small portion sizes on appetizers and all fried food over cooked. Over all demeanor of everyone who worked there was that they absolutely did not want to be there. Eye rolls and mumbles under breath from staff was extremely unappreciated. We were both excited to try this restaurant because Hiram does not have any seafood restaurants. She was already sitting down when I arrived. The waitress came to the table as soon as I arrived. She was attentive and friendly. My friend ordered shrimp as an appetizer and a crab legs for for meal. I ordered calamari and fries for my meal. She said it tasted okay. I was enjoying my meal until a staple, yes you heard me, a staple was fried into my calamari. Yes this was in my mouth! I couldn't believe this. I still can't believe this. Like why are there staples around the food. Help me understand. There's literally no excuse for this. I asked the waitress to get a manager. I was offered something else but I politely declined. Sitting at the bar waiting for our table, finally flagged down someone to order drinks, I asked for a glass of Chardonnay and was told they were out of all white wines. Wow! Friday evening in a seafood restaurant and NO white wine We finally got a table and ordered, food came out sporadically to each person, some were almost finished eating by the time others got theirs. One person in our party got fried oysters that came out cold. He sent them back and just a few minutes later they plopped down his same order which had obviously been thrown back into the fryer to heat it up, so now dripping in grease! The dinners that came in the bags were very good, but the fried dishes were mediocre at best. They have a long way to go but I hope they will step up and make this place work, we need this in Hiram. read more
