Lucky Dog Daycare - Spring 2013

She actually starts squealing with excitement about 3 miles from Lucky Dog. We love the extra services you can get like "the Works" bath, ear cleaning and nails trimmed. We went through a period of family members having health issues. It was a blessing knowing we could call and take Ellie for boarding at a moments notice. During one unexpected stay we had to be away longer than we had anticipated the Lucky Dog staff had no issue getting her extra food to tide her over until we returned. When we inherited a second dog Max, we knew he would love Lucky Dog too. Daycare is sometimes more activity than he prefers but he is happy to board with them. For his first time boarding Greg made sure he put Max in a kennel with his sister to help him cope with this new experience. When the dogs come home they are happy and ready for a nap! The staff are all top notch and we truly feel like they are extended family. We couldn't be happier with Lucky Dog daycare and boarding!

The staff are friendly and knowledgable. When I explained my dog was a bit shy, they explained they would slowly introduce him to some of the calmer dogs before letting him out to play with all the dogs. One of my favorite features is that they close for "lunch" for a couple of hours. During this time each dog is offered their own food (if you brought some) and water in a private kennel. I like this because it gives the dogs a break from all the social interaction. They have a handy electronic check in and reservation system. Plus, you even get a deal if you buy so many days of daycare at one time. They also offer their bathing facilities for free if you'd like to bathe your dog there, or you can pay for services like bathing and nail trimming while you're gone. Lastly, they offer boarding services only to their customers who go to doggy daycare. Their boarding services include plenty of interactive playtime out of the kennel.

After 3 sessions at SMS, June is able to walk with us with no problem. I genuinely wouldn't believe it if you told me she would improve this much a month ago. I can't recommend SMS and Brenna specifically enough!

He walked thru the training technique and schedule, being sure to answer any questions or concerns we had. We scheduled three, full day trainings - spread over 3 weeks so that we would have practice time in between each lesson. We would drop Tilly off in the AM, pick her up in the afternoon. When we arrived back at the facility, my husband and I had an hour with the trainer and Tilly to walk through what they went over in the day. We also got a "Report Card" after each lesson that highlighted how it went. Super helpful. Brenna trained Tilly on the 1st and 3rd day and Jada trained Tilly on the 2nd day. Each were fantastic and couldn't have been more helpful and knowledgeable. They walked through the training collar process, commands and walking habits. They helped Tilly go from pulling on her harness to complete loose leash walking, how to get into her "Place", how to heal, and how to stay focused while around other distractions (dogs, cars, people, etc). Facilities were clean, well managed. Highly recommend Sit Means Sit, Brenna, Jada and Greg!

SCAM ALERT: Do NOT Use Wags N Wheels (Mike & Jenny) - A Nightmare Trip Resulted in Dog Death…read more I am writing this as an urgent warning. The service provided by Wags N Wheels was a complete scam, and the negligence of Mike and Jenny led directly to the death of a dog in their care. My dog was removed in an emergency intervention due to unsafe, inhumane, and horrific conditions. THE SERVICE SOLD VS. THE SERVICE RECEIVED Mike and Jenny sold me a premium, stress-free transport, for my larger dog, promising: - SAFE, full care for my dog, including water and food - Only 2-3 dogs in the vehicle, and plenty of space for my dog - Nightly stays in hotels for rest. - "Great communication" and full care. - Expeditious delivery EVERY SINGLE PROMISE WAS A LIE. Overcrowding and Route: Instead of 2-3 dogs, they were transporting 8 dogs in a minivan, including a large Bernese Mountain Dog who later died. They did not stay in hotels. They drove an absurd, circuitous route with minimal breaks, including sitting in an outlet mall parking lot in Phoenix for hours in 80 F heat. The 8 owners had to sit idly by and beg for their dogs safety while watching them on the tracking app. Appalling Communication: After receiving my deposit, I had to initiate every communication. They were unreliable, went radio silent for long periods, and provided excuses instead of an itinerary or more information on our dogs well well-being. THE EMERGENCY AND ANIMAL NEGLECT On day three, a 2-year-old, healthy dog tragically died in their care. The drivers offered the completely absurd excuse that he "just stopped breathing." My dog was then traveling in a confined vehicle that "smelled of death" with a decomposing dog's body. This was an immediate health and safety hazard. Due to the death and continued lies, the owners of the 8 dogs in the van organized an emergency removal. I helped retrieve my dog in Oregon. The owner who intercepted the van reported that the dogs were VERY thirsty, gulping water despite the driver's lie about recent watering. Upon arrival home, my dog was: - Severely Dehydrated: Constantly gulping water and struggling to pass stool. - Extremely Stressed: Showing signs of intense stress, including rapid shedding. - Hungry: Her food bag had barely been touched (she eats 2.5 cups at each meal, so the food should have been nearly gone). Wags N Wheels is operating a bait-and-switch scam, creating an unsafe and inhumane transport environment. They must be stopped. They promised a full refund for all owners, and no such refund has been issued. Do NOT entrust your family member to Wags N Wheels. They cannot provide a safe, humane, or honest service.

No one could get a hold of them to find out if their dogs were even okay. They lied about the number of dogs that would be in the vehicle, they said 3-4 dogs, and it ended up being 8. They wouldn't give updates on their itinerary. I received news that one of the dogs currently being transported had died when they were 14 hours from me. I started out to drive towards them to get my dog and 2 others that were being transported close to my location before they killed them too. All dogs showed signs of dehydration. These people need to be stopped from transporting loved family members before they kill more. after the fact I was shown a video on instagram about a French bulldog being transported that had died while in their care.
