The overall experience working with this company was unsatisfactory. The lack of supervision on the job site resulted in numerous errors. Specifically, for the ADUs with polished concrete floors, drain installation was omitted in five out of seven units prior to the concrete pour. Furthermore, window cutouts were constructed below grade, creating a risk of water infiltration. In addition, after pouring and finishing the concrete floors, expansion joints were not installed, leading to concrete cracking in two of the ADUs. I have significant concerns regarding Wickman Development & Construction and would not recommend their services. read more

We hired Wickman Construction to finish a basement, put in a fireplace and a garage access door in St. Germain. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process. Even received test mgs during the weekend. The crew was punctual, respectful and maintained a clean work area. They offered helpful suggestions. The quality of the craftsmanship truły shows in the finished product. We arę thrilled with the results and wouldn't hestiate to hire them again for futurę projects. Highly recommend! read more

We have had a very positive experience with Wickman. In the process of contemplating the building of a new cabin, they were highly responsive and communicative. They met with us on more than one occasion, had phone calls and plenty of emails. They were knowledgeable about the building process and shared this with us as needed, including a site visit to a job they had already done. Stay away from this company! Too bad zero stars isn't an option. They farmed our roofing job out to another contractor. I thought I was saving $500 going with them only to now have all of these headaches. They installed a bathroom fan and connected to original 12 feet of venting (a total of 37 feet when only a 12 foot run was required!) Our brand new skylight was leaking just 2 months after they did it. To fix it, they came out and caulked and said I was good. Velux suggested to have their own installer redo the skylights but that cost was estimated at $1,000. I did them with another hired person and now was out the $500 I thought I was saving. After removing shingles for the skylights. we saw a 1" gap of nothing covering the plywood on the roof. That exposed plywood without any barrier was the cause of the water coming into our attic and dripping through the bathroom light. We came to Wickman with the problem of the leaking skylight on July 29. We got no solution all of August. When I called them on August 23, nothing appeared to be done from over 3 weeks. I received the incorrect skylights on September 3rd, only to receive the 2 correct sizes the week after, with 1 damaged. Velux was contacted by me to get a replacement. I requested money returned to me but was denied by Ken Wickman. After 90 days all I wanted was to be treated fair and asked for them to pay for my installer and I wouldn't have put a review like this on their company. read more

Con-artists. They gave me a quote to level brick steps. The job was ok but not great. The actual bill was double what they quoted me. When i complained the said they would refund me $500. Its been a year and still waiting. Do not use this company!!!! read more

ken came out to our house, told us to call insurance and let them know to work direct with him and he would handle. We did as asked, canceled the other company we contacted to get an estimate and then got an email a day later saying they were too busy to help. read more
