There were two women behind the counter. We were never greeted in any way. One of the women just kept staring at us as we looked around. Openly standing and staring, yet mute. Their hours are great, always open Sundays and often on Holidays which is great for us! They also will rent out their keg taps and other alcohol related tools for parties which is super great, because investing in a keg tap seems silly when I have needed one once in my 29 years of life. They staff is super friendly, they are always willing to answer any questions, I love that they are very educated on the products they sell. They have also been willing to look things up and even do their best to take requests and order things we are looking for. They are friendly group who don't mind making conversation or complimenting your ID photos.

They've completely gone upscale with a new menu, cloth tablecloths, lots of servers, higher end wine list. Started with three dips and I love the olive tapenade. My friend enjoyed the balsamic. The Faroe island seared salmon was perfect with a fresh mango salsa and I liked that Brovarian wine again, a rombauer-like chard. my friend had french onion soup and said it was amazing. The guy next to us had a full oyster plate, then fresh grilled halibut and a Sancerre. Also looked good! Like I said, the patio is a hidden gem in the middle of a residential area. Grilled octopus was AMAZING, should have ordered an extra one for dinner! Now, ordered the bronzino à la plancha and the bouillabaisse de marseille. Looked awesome. The bronzino was soo salty my mother couldn't take it so it was sent back. The bouillabaisse was very salty from a few bites, but I didn't want to have to send two dishes back, so I let mine sit. Whomever the chef was that night was either just tossing salt everywhere, don't give a damn, or just doesn't know how to season food and that's not acceptable for any restaurant people are spending their money. Management that night, was very gracious, professional, and apologetic. They brought another bronzino dish and I just took mine home hoping the flavor would settle and I could Dr. it up (shouldn't have to do this from a restaurant of this caliber and should have requested a new dish ). Well, the dish could not be saved by any means so I called management the next day. Whomever the manager was on duty (a male) was rude and gross! I explained that I had barely touched it and would bring it back and would appreciate a refund b/c why would I want the same dish you have proven you have not mastered or even made palpable. I was told "he was not going to give me a refund" and they would (reluctantly) make another one. So, I drive ALL THE WAY back over to the restaurant from Shaker Hts. the next day with the salt dish. They made another one and when I got home it TASTED EXACTLY THE SAME, maybe worst. I was so disgusted with the food, wasting gas and time, and the manager's attitude, as if I did something. And what French restaurant doesn't have rabbit and foie gras on the menu!?! I came all the way from out of town to treat my parents and that's the food and behavior received!?! Won't be back!
