I do NOT recommend…read more My husband decided to give this shop a chance after a bad experience with other mechanics. He needed an engine rebuild. The project was discussed and planned. The cost estimate was given. The plan was: the engine would go to a machinist first to be rebuilt, then it will be returned to the shop to be placed back into the car, then it would need to go to the tuner for dyno tuning. The cost to the machinist and tuner were separate costs. Everything was agreed. The machinist was paid, and the engine went to be rebuilt. It was a long process- understandable. Finally the engine was rebuilt and placed back into the car. We were notified that the car was ready for the tuner. The mechanics said that they need the full balance before the car leaves the shop to go to the tuner. It was mentioned that the car will need gas. The agreed balance was paid, and I agreed to reimburse any gas they put in the car. They typed the receipt stating that the balance was cleared, prior to sending the car to the tuner. We were notified that the car is scheduled to be towed to the tuner, and that we can and pick it up from there, and just pay the tuner directly. No problem, as it was already discussed that the tuner was a separate cost. The car goes to the tuner. After we pick the car up from the tuner and finally get it home, we receive a message that we still have a remaining balance for the towing and gas. Now, i agreed to reimburse gas, where is the towing charge coming from? I went to the mechanics shop with the gas money I agreed to pay, and they told me that they will not pay for our tow. While i explained that they cannot add charges after the fact, this was not unforseen or unexpected. It should have been accounted for in their requested price. It should have been mentioned when you requested money for gas. It should have been discussed at any point before you had it towed. When we cleared our balance, they should not be able to continue to add charges. While i stood outside of the shop and explained my frustrations. I attempted to talk the mechanics. They told me that towing was always part of the plan, they notified us when the tow was scheduled and everything. This is true, towing to the tuner was part of the plan from the beginning. Why was it not accounted for in the requested cost from the beginning? Why was additional charges not mentioned before we cleared our balance? They tell me that an estimate is just that... and estimate, things can change. Also true, but towing was not unexpected, it could have been included in the estimate from the beginning or mentioned at any point before clearing the balance. They repeatedly tell me that they are trustworthy honest people, and that they are not asking for anything not earned. I wholeheartedly disagree. I intentionally did not mention the quality of their work in this review. They say that they stand behind their work, and im sure they do, but i believe professionlism and integrity reflects in quality. In my experience with this shop, i have found them extremely unprofessional and of questionable integrity. I do not recommend this shop on the basis that they will ask for money after agreeing that the balance is cleared. That is the definition of unprofessional and underhanded and shady. That fact alone is the reason i wrote this review to share my experience.

Hi I'm the husband unfortunately I haven't had my car back two weeks I was driving a few days ago…read moreand my radiator blew up soaking my inside of my apartment unfortunately I was pissed I called the mechanics on the side of the road I asked him to come check on my car and tell me what was wrong even though I already had a clear indication that my radiator blew up when they arrive they were humble and let me know because of the review that my wife left they would no longer take me on as a customer and they left me on the side of the road they told me that they had to replace the water pump in order to honor my hundred thousand mile warranty on the engine replacement or rebuild and when they seen that the radiator blew up after they had to work around the radiator and pull the radiator out to replace the water pump they ignored the Diagnostics they didn't properly diagnosed my car after putting it back together and unfortunately I had severe overheating issues after they were messing with my cooling system I had nothing but the utmost respect for these people until they argued my wife over a towing fee don't argue my baby of course we paid the towing fee but that's beside the point the point of my review is to say this I asked him wholeheartedly over 6 months ago if my car was a project that they could do what I have check engine lights when my car be able to drive and they refuse to let me know you're in good hands and will take care of it now all of a sudden they're not taking accountability for anything and refuse to work on my car because of a review that my wife left honest on the way that they conduct business and their professionalism I'm a businessman myself if you want to look up my company at Stowe's Lawn Care inside projects I've been in business for myself for over several years I don't get bad reviews I don't say that to not be humble I say that to say that I put my customers first I don't add additional charges I do throw quotes and estimates before agreeing on doing work so now I'm stuck with the car on my driveway that's overheating severely after having a water pump replaced and the engine threw back in it that was rebuilt and I supposedly have 100,000 warranty that I paid for and $7,500 later 6 months later I don't have a car I can drive they won't contact me they won't honor their warranty they won't look at my car I have 13 check engine lights four of which are pertaining to overheating and misfires in my cylinders and my engine and all they want to do is keep trying to sleep talk to me and not do what they told me they would when I gave them my money I am very unpleased with the professionalism of the shop and I won't go there and I won't recommend another person to either so at this point anything that happens next is out of my control and all they had to do was just talk to somebody listen to somebody do what we paid them to do
