We cannot let this happen, we must support our local establishments. Without the postal system, how would housewives have affairs? How would charities give you free pens? This one is particularly friendly and quaint. This is a classic little post office that sells precisely everything that you want it to. By no means as busy as the post office in the centre of town, this is a great one to pop into if you want to avoid the queues and spend your afternoon doing something productive instead. Nice surprise - before Christmas they open at 7.00 so I was over the threshold on the dot! The office has been smartened up since my last visit (in September) and the young lady behind the counter was cheerful, polite and happy to help me. At 7.00 am that's worth brownie points in my book. So a professional service in a clean smart environment. Yes, it can get crowded but the counter staff generally do their best under some pressure, especially at this time of year. I hope it continues to be as neat and tidy as it is now, as it's definitely more pleasant to wait for your letters/parcels etc.and I imagine for the staff too.

It is on a main bus route and also has a small car park around the back of the store. The post office staff can be less than enthusiastic, and sometimes they make you feel as though you've disturbed their peaceful day by daring to use the post office. However, it is convenient and if you decide to buy a snack on your way back through the store, the prices are not that much more than a major supermarket would charge.
