Desiree is the kind of healthcare professional who reminds you that compassion and the little extra touches really matter. She clearly has a gift for working with children and making families feel comfortable. What stood out most was the thoughtful personal touch she added to the visit. She used my daughter's name and wrote a welcoming message on the disposable paper covering the exam bed, then decorated it with colorful markers. It was such a simple gesture, but it showed that she took an extra moment to make my daughter feel special rather than simply going through the routine of a pediatric visit. My daughter noticed it, and so did I. It made the whole experience feel more personal, fun, and welcoming. Usually the pharmacy is so packed at Kaiser Baldwin park but not here. I needed to visit the lab and radiology departments that day. The staffs were very friendly and accommodating. In fact they provide good services at any Kaiser locations in general. But I feel this one is warmer and more welcoming. Most likely I will make my half yearly checkup at this location in the future! It's much closer to home too!

We enjoyed the movie in our whole theater to ourselves, our healthy popcorn, and water. The staff were organized, efficient and worked as a team. Maggie checked us in. She was very friendly and welcoming. With a wonderful hand off to Christopher. Christopher, checked with us on any physical needs or directions, escorted us to our movie location. It was wonderful talking with him along the way. Jonathan greeted patients and recognized me from last years event. It's nice to know he remembers patient's. Your widget doesn't work no matter how I try to log on so you can only do appointments via phone or walk in in person and ask then. Don't even make the online appointment system an option if you can't manage your website correctly. But that's for the online portion and nothing to do with this location. After annoyingly finding out that I can't book a TB test through the Kaiser Permante app (was told that I could, but then it ended up being a blood drawing lab and that's not what I was looking for), I was bounced from the West Covina Medical Office on Sunset since there's no nurses there that can do a TB test for some reason??? At least not in a reasonable time where I didn't miss work, so I was instructed to do a walk in at the Target Kaiser clinic. Located left when you enter in, a bit past the pharmacy. There's a small waiting room with pretty comfy and large chairs and there's motion sensor that chimes and summons a clinician to see you. I had to wait around 30 extra minutes both times, but since this is in a Target and not in a medical building I had the freedom to shop around Target or go get a drink from the Starbucks inside. Genesis was friendly and welcoming in a very light hearted and casual way. None of that stuffy medical office coldness that you usually see when a clinic is super busy. TB test was quickly administered, I came back within the time frame needed 2 days-ish later, getting the read was quick and getting my paperwork quality was easy too. I probably get better care and get treated less like human cattle here than at the other locations.

What really stands out is how attentive everyone is, from the front desk to the clinical staff. I wish I remembered names because every single person I interacted with today deserves recognition. The front desk staff were welcoming and efficient, and even with an online check-in process, they still made everything feel personal. I was third in line and was quickly brought back for vitals. There was a medical assistant in training, and honestly, watching that interaction made me respect this place even more. You could tell she was nervous and learning, but she was incredibly kind, thorough, and professional. The trainer took their time, corrected gently, and clearly cared about doing things the right way. I've always been seen by nurse practitioners here rather than MDs, and that has never once been an issue. They're knowledgeable, thorough, and actually listen. This hospital was a nightmare. My husband checked in to have tests done for DVT. They did an…read moreX-ray of his chest because he was also having difficulty breathing. He had a slight case of pneumonia and they started him on IV antibiotics. The woman who came in to draw blood was well into her senior years with a pronounced tremor. The result was that she couldn't hit a vein and stabbed around in his arm for several minutes. Supposedly, they called in a cardiologist because they were concerned about his heart rate. The cardiologist NEVER actually saw my husband. On Saturday, our primary care doctor, who had visited my husband each day, said he could go home. 3 hours later, the nurses were still busy bickering back and forth about who would actually work that day. We had asked several times how his discharge was going, but they waited 3 hours to tell us that this imaginary cardiologist had to come by and sign off on his discharge too. We then told them that cardiologist was NEVER hired as my husband's cardiologist, that my husband already has a cardiologist, and that this new one lied about actually seeing the patient. I actually had to threaten to call the police to have my husband released. Then the nurse shredded my husband's arm while removing the IV. In the pictures, it's the one that looks like raw hamburger. The other picture is his other arm where the earlier nurse bruised it so badly stabbing for a vein. For 2 entire days, another patient down the hall was screaming in pain. In my opinion, this hospital is a scam to rake in Medicare money. I wouldn't trust them to put a bandaid on a paper cut. Follow-up: The doctor left orders for them to call in a prescription for an antibiotic to our pharmacy. They said they had done it. They lied. We called the pharmacy the next day and they hadn't received anything. We called the hospital and they said "Call your doctor." We've been getting run in circles by them for another hour the day after he was discharged. If you value your life and wellness. Stay away from this place!
