It was all going okay until after the build was completed and I closed on the loan. THEN, I found out there were multiple bills that were never sent to me after OVER 90 days later! Needless to say this put me in a very bad position. The contractors still have to be paid but the loan is closed. I got confirmation in writing that there were no more bills at completion and prior to closing on the loan. He misinformed me and one of the bills he NEVER sent to me, I had to get it from the contractor... After all this happened Randy Dostal refused to take responsibility for the mistakes or give any type of refund for the fee paid for building the house. Randy Dostal flat out made mistakes and does not care about correcting them. BEWARE: If you are looking to use Thomas Dostal Developers to build anything this could happen to you! Mistakes were made and there is no regard for correcting them or for the satisfaction of the client! It has been very disappointing! this whole thing put me in a really bad situation! I would recommend ANY other builders over Thomas Dostal Developers.

We built per spec, on time, and UNDER budget. All problems were addressed and fixed. One bill came in late. The owner had an accounting of the outstanding bills at the time. The owner wished to close early to get a spectacular rate (another savings for the next 30 years), we made the timeline. By this time I should tell you the general contractor was the OWNER. It is his responsibility to know the whole project. Thomas Dostal Developers was a CONSULTANT. We were trying a new concept and, as we thought, home owners want the savings but not the responsibility of building the home. He dumped on us! We picked up the pieces and finished the house. He is complaining on one late bill for $500. So sad. If this is what a person wants, is to get a great home for a great price .....call us. There is no "beware". I have never walked away from a problem. Some people want to get something for nothing-so sad. Randy

I often waited over a week for her to return calls. When I asked her why she had not returned my calls sooner, instead of apologizing for having dropped the ball & promising to do better in the future, she gave me a number of excuses, but no apology. Also, she did not respond to text messages in a timely manner, & did not take any steps to resolve issues I had with the property such as missing keys, incorrect garage door codes, & lack of manuals for the thermostat & appliances. When I asked her about them, she said that it was easy to download them from the internet, & I should do that. If it was so simple, why didn't she download them herself & leave them with the property? I find it difficult to believe that a big real estate office would not have both internet access & a printer.
