I had seen my doctor twice, and a chiropractor four times, and the pain was no better. Pain pills weren't touching it, nerve pills weren't touching it. We contacted Sam and talked to him and then went in to see him. He listened to me tell him about what was hurting, and then he did these stretches on my legs and my lower back and hips, and within a matter of minutes, my pain had been cut in half. Now, he didn't make it go away completely, but by the end of the first massage and stretching session, I was able to walk out of there without crying. He had me come back two days later, and after the second session of stretches, the pain was completely gone. After several sessions with others and pain meds and everything else failed to work, two sessions with Sam and my pain was GONE. Now, any time I get a twinge of sciatic pain, I go right back to Sam to prevent it from happening. Haven't had a bad episode since. I'm disabled, and a bit overweight too, and Sam works with me on my disabilities and customizes the massages for whatever my needs and health problems are at the time. He is upbeat and kind, has never made me feel embarrassed of self-conscious because of my weight or my health. He is always friendly, courteous and skilled, and he keeps up on new techniques and things to try for new problems I might have too. He gives fresh water after the massage for helping to continue flushing out toxins. He provides specials too if you're looking for discounts. My best friend always goes to him for her neck and shoulder pain, and we usually go together and make back-to-back appointments. I don't get to go hardly as much as I would like but Sam's prices are reasonable, his services are wonderful, and i would highly recommend him to anyone who needs relief from chronic pain, stiffness, back problems, or even if you just want to pamper yourself and relax--it's just, he's so much more than just pampering. I believe it's therapeutic and preventative too. The difference it makes in my life when I'm in pain and he can get me out of pain has been immeasurable, especially when nothing else worked. The massage oils he uses are very soothing and leave my skin soft and hydrated. Sam is excellent about listening to his clients and adjusting his massages to accommodate their needs, changing the amount of pressure he uses, avoiding areas or paying special attention to areas as requested. I tried to book in mid-December, but the website indicated no availability, so I contacted the company by phone directly. They had no available openings until the end of January. After having waited 6+ weeks for an appointment AND receiving both a confirmation e-mail and text message the day before - the therapist (Andre Turner) called me 6 HOURS before the session to cancel! Specifically, he said: (1) that even though I had an appointment that he would not be in the office that day; (2) that he was fully booked for the month of February; and (3) that I should just request a refund from Groupon. He gave me no opportunity to reschedule (not that I would have). I found him to be short and curt - with no apology whatsoever for cancelling me on super short notice. I think that he (like many other small businesses) signed up for the Groupon promotion and was overwhelmed with the response. But instead of admitting such, he simply "dumped" my appointment on a same day basis with very little notice. No future business for this guy!
