I was a physical therapy patient of Brooke's for one year -- from 2022-2023. During this time, I saw Brooke 1-2x per month. I initially sought out Brooke for physical therapy for chronic lower back and neck pain, but she quickly became more of a coach and holistic support system to me.
Brooke is extremely talented as a physical therapist. She is also markedly creative, upbeat, and empathetic, and has impressive interdisciplinary experience in movement (e.g., yoga and jiu jitsu) and wellness. Every time I approached Brooke with a new problem or hurdle, she always responded with composure, a genuine understanding, and a new idea/solution that was thoughtful and useful -- one that I could actually implement.
One of the most daunting, challenging aspects of chronic pain (at least in my experience) is how isolating it can be. Working with Brooke allowed me to internalize the fact that I am not alone. Brooke's support motivated me to keep going and believe in myself. Having someone like Brooke in my life with whom I could verbalize the ups and downs of my chronic pain journey, set goals, and take stock of my progress resulted in my chronic pain improving more in a single year than it had, cumulatively, in the 4 years prior. What's more, during the time we worked together, Brooke was able to help me ameliorate repetitive stress injuries in my wrist and elbow, as they emerged, in real-time.
Suffice it to say, Brooke changed my life and I recommend her completely to anyone seeking mental or physical coaching or training. Brooke cares for her patients deeply and she is up for any challenge you might present to her. read more
