Our experience with Oak Hills has been brief but beyond anything we could imagine. My wife and I…read morebrought in our guinea pig, Cooper, who had been losing weight and struggling to eat as usual. Dr. Burright gave us a clear treatment plan along with some tips about what to feed and not to feed him for his diet. She was incredibly accommodating, thorough, and willing to answer my many questions. She and her staff followed up with me every day to check up on Cooper's progress. Unfortunately, our little guinea didn't make it, but we knew we could count on Oak Hills to let him rest in guinea heaven. In our first visit, Dr. Burright assured us that if the time did come, that she would personally supervise Cooper was asleep before he was put down and that he would have company all along. She was very compassionate, as was the rest of her staff. BUT THIS IS WHAT MEANT THE WORLD TO ME... After Cooper was taken into the euthanasia room, Dr. Burright returned to tell us that it was indeed the right and humane decision to let him rest for good. She confirmed all of my suspicions about his progress not being enough to kick his illness and ensured I felt good about what was undoubtedly a very tough decision. Words can't explain just how much that means to hear from a professional, especially at a time of such heartache. Letting your pet go is never easy, but I felt at total peace knowing Dr. Burright and her staff were looking after Cooper until his last seconds. If they hadn't already done the world for him, they also sent us a flower arrangement the next day to express their condolences. We were touched. I can't recommend a veterinary clinic any more than I do Oak Hills, they are First Class.

Never thought I would use a mobile vet but Im glad I did. Such a convenience for my nee pup and I. The Van was spacious enough for weighing and procedures. The staff were phenomenal and handled my pup well. So much so that the technician received lots of licks and love lol! I was able to get all of my procedures and microchipping done! Also love that the technician and doctor were both engaging and welcoming! They even showed me what they were doing at all times. 100% will be back for routines of course lol! Cons: no fault of The Vet, however, the app has some bugs. I had an appointment scheduled for today with email confirmation and it didnt show up in the profile. However, the Dr. Was able to squeeze me in and get Sir'Toto seen!! Once that app is up and running, Im sure things will pick up even more!

Compassionate Care came right on time and was so kind and caring. My experience was okay…read more I made a most difficult decision to let my beloved cat go after a long weekend spent almost entirely in ER trying to figure out why he would no longer eat and why his eye was swelling shut. And an even longer two or three weeks before that fighting to get him to eat. Like others here, Kevin was closer to me than my human family. I was busy with the doctors in ER so my partner called in to make the appointment to ease my stress. He said I was primary contact, but it was difficult to make that clear all the way until the day so communications were continually going to him. Not a big deal in the overall picture, but it didn't make the experience any easier. This was my cat for 8 years before I met my partner and while he loved my baby, I was the one with the lifelong bond. The doctor showed up within the time window allotted. We both found her a little cold. I felt like we were just a job and everything was done by number. My BF picked up my cat and carried him to me, but the doctor said we should do paperwork first which resulted in me putting him down after building up to do what I deemed impossible. I was emotional and crying. This really should somehow be handled before the visit. There were corrections to be made on the form. I was about to lose my baby and this only made me aware that I was filling out his death warrant. I am utterly heartbroken. I know holding your baby until the last minute is catharsis and closure, but I found it traumatizing. His passing was peaceful at least. Everyone's goodbye will be unique, and my example will not necessarily match what others experience. Everyone we spoke to was professional. I just wasn't feeling the compassion.

Our dog has quite a bit of anxiety, and they've always been very understanding about it. When possible, they've gotten her out of the busy lobby and into a room, which really helps make the experience easier for her. We've seen several different doctors over the years, and every one of them has been great. We've always felt that our pets are in good hands here, and I really appreciate the care and compassion the entire staff has shown us.

Apparently, after 1 failed attempt to reach me put my appointment in a dormant (but CANCELLED) state. ONE attempt to reach out! It was missed. Meanwhile, they still send reminder emails and texts to confirm the appointment consistently leading up to the appointment. But joke's on you! Show up with your pet in hand and "Oh, well too bad, we made an attempt and you failed to respond so we gave away your appointment." Mind you, the place was desolate! Not ONE PERSON was there for an appointment. The front desk person informed me that they called, texted and emailed me yesterday and the day before. Nope! They tried ONCE the day I scheduled the appointment. It happens....I missed it. But again, I got several (!!) emails and texts afterwards confirming, reminding, instructions on showing up early and even an email with a link to CONFIRM THE APPT! When I corrected Ms. Hates-To-Be-Wrong, she slipped and said that they don't fully cancel the appointments and that is why I got so many encouraging reminders about said "appointment." They like to have it showing as an appointment when people inevitably show up to smugly point out how wrong you are. This is petty, yes, but I mean it when I say it came off like a bum-hurt girlfriend who's boyfriend ignored her good morning text. Just ridiculous. Seems to me having that process in place of dormant-cancels shows I'm not the first to run into this flawed appointment system. Probably a good thing I left without rescheduling their "generous offer" to take another few hours off of work and return in 5 days or their first available...a month later! I likely would have showed up and been pseudo-cancelled for not liking a VCA post on social media or some-such equally BS reason to turn someone away. This branch is run so poorly right from the entrance point that it truly makes me believe it is very likely just a peak into how incompetently things are handled everywhere else at this hospital. I would not trust my pet to the jackals. If the care and vets are good, it's a shame because their admin definitely leave a lasting bad impression. You've been warned!!

When we brought Romie in, she was unable to get up or walk. The doctor and staff were incredibly thorough and quick to determine what was happening. During an ultrasound, they discovered that she had a very large splenic tumor that was actively bleeding. Their knowledge, urgency, and compassion gave us the answers we needed during an incredibly difficult and emotional time. Everyone who cared for Romie went above and beyond. They treated her with such gentleness and dignity, while also treating us with an incredible amount of compassion and understanding. When it became clear that we needed to say goodbye to our girl, they gave us the time and privacy we needed to be with her. That kindness meant more to us than we can ever adequately express. Veterinary medicine providers do not receive nearly enough recognition for the difficult and deeply emotional work they do every day. They care for animals when they are at their most vulnerable, while also supporting families through some of their most painful moments. We will always be grateful to Dr. Williams and every member of the staff who assisted in Romie's care. Thank you for taking such good care of our girl and for showing so much kindness and compassion to our family when we needed it most. Your care and kindness will never be forgotten.

I called nu.erous vets, including our regular one when our 16 year old pup was very ill and needed to be mercifully euthanized. I asked each vet for prices so I had an idea of what I was looking at. Unfortunately all vwts were booked. I went to the emergency vet and everything charged was double the other vets. Also other vets added $25 extra to the heavenly wings $127 cremation price, so $152. The mergency vet charged$209. How do they justify that? Also how do they justify a $150 exam, that they do not do in front of the ownwr and that takes 5 minutes? When I asked about the prices I was given an "it is what it iis" attitude. The doctor was very stern and unfeeling. The rest of the staff was nice. Just not impressed with a business that takes advantage of people in desperate times.
