Who's Bakery is an absolute gem in Charleston! I am so glad we finally have an authentic, Asian-approved bakery. If you appreciate that perfect balance of sweetness (that wonderful Asian sweet style versus heavy American sweets), this place is an absolute must-visit. We ordered a custom strawberry cake, and it was stunning. The cake-to-cream-to-strawberry ratio was completely dialed in--light, fresh, and perfectly balanced. We also tried an assortment of their incredible pastries: corgi butt, taro roll, coconut roll, taro mochi bun, and scallion bread. Everything was phenomenal, the packaging was pristine, and you can tell a lot of care and attention to details goes into their products. I am already planning my next visit. 10/10 recommend!

Amazing! I've been craving for an Asian bakery in Charleston. This place has a huge selection of delicious and affordable pastries. They are all individually bagged for convenience with a lot of sweet and savory options. The red bean bun was very light in texture and the floss/seaweed bun was just the right amount. The garlic cheese was very good too with a generous filling. The taro was also very airy. Their almond cookies and berry scone bites were also tasty! Got a $5 store credit scratch off on top of that too!

However, the customer service during our visit was extremely disappointing. We asked for help with the menu because we were unsure which items were vegan. Instead of helping us, the staff member responded dismissively and did not offer any useful explanation or recommendations. I ordered a hot matcha latte, which took at least twenty minutes to prepare. We also politely asked whether they had a packet of sugar and were rudely told that they were "not a coffee shop" and that we could go to the neighboring business if we wanted sugar. The response was unnecessarily rude and completely unprofessional. The music also did not create the calm, relaxing atmosphere that you would normally expect from a bakery, so it was not a particularly pleasant place to sit. Considering the service we received, I would recommend visiting one of the neighboring businesses instead. I would not return and cannot recommend this place to others.

All very excellent with our morning coffee. Yesterday we bought a slice of blueberry buckle and it was absolutely heaven in our mouth! We look forward to Mae's every 2 weeks when we go to the market and always come away with joy from Lily Mae and yummy treats. She is such a friendly and warm lady to talk to. We are looking forward to going to the cafe soon.

OMG ya'll, the tomato pie!! I am obsessed with tomatoes and I'm also from the Northeast where…read morenothing like this exists, so you can imagine my excitement to try it. And I'm happy to report that it exceeded my expectations! The slice of pie was HUGE (very tall) and it had some kind of a sauce/cheese combo on top of the tomatoes that was fantastic. Combined with the pie crust, it reminded me of a slice of Chicago deep dish pizza! My husband and I also shared the following: cinnamon rolls, salted caramel brownie and a white chocolate raspberry bread pudding muffin. All were huge, rich in flavor and very satisfying. I already can't wait to come back again! :)

The place is a nice sized neighborly cafe. The bakery display was very tempting, but I had to remind myself why I was here, TOMATO PIE!! Let me preface this by saying I'm from Charleston (lived here all my life except for 2 years), and I LOVE Tomato Pie. I was in utter shock when I saw how huge their Tomato Pie was. I ordered it to go and did not have it heated when ordered. I asked the gentlemen at the counter how he recommended heating it and he suggested in an oven over a microwave to keep the crust crisp. So that is how I heated it. For the cheese lovers this one is for you!! The cheese was a bit excessive and over powering for me. I did not like this tomato pie at all. It lacked flavor to me, and I'm usually one that believes seasonings should enhance the flavor of the food, not cover/overwhelm the palate. What I tasted was CHEESE, tomatoes and a bland crust. I saw the herbs/seasonings underneath the cheese, but did not taste it at all. To each their own, but this in no way tastes like the classic southern tomato pie I grew up loving. I gave a 3 because the menu had MANY options that looked appealing that I may go back to try.
