The food on offer is really nice and freshly cooked - and their burgers actually taste of meat! There is a variety of tables, small, large, intimate, there seems to be something for everyone. They have sky tv too, and so the bar area attracts sports fans to watch the game - worth bearing in mind if you're going for a quiet dinner! If you have children, you might want to try and find your way into one of their booths - and then you have your own TV to keep them amused!! I've been twice since it reopened, and so far, I haven't been kept waiting for my food - it's been served promptly and always looks great!

There's something for everyone, and the service is very good. It's a nice place to go for a drink even if you're not eating. There are often 'early bird' deals on if you eat between certain times. The Whittle has a small car park but it's also easy to walk to from Brockworth or Cooper's Edge, and it's now on a bus route (number 3 or 4).

On weekdays other options are available so take a look. Drinks are typical pub prices and are ok. Family friendly, but some local familes go every sunday and let their kids run around and make a nuisance of themselves so watch out for them when carrying your plate back to the table.

Quiz nights and low key music make this a good local pub that Mr Datcat and I use on the weekdays evenings. It's always clean and there is no stale beer smell you can get in other pubs sometimes. Families are welcome here, but for those of us who just want a quiet drink the eating area is separate from the bar. There is a pub garden and a smoking area is available. Plenty of parking or if you want to leave the car at home the bus stop is just across the car park. All in all in nice pub.

In good nick it's very lively and busy pub especially on the weekend, but then it is on the main pub crawl road in Gloucester. Bar staff are quick and polite and do keep tables clear. Apparently it has a dance floor and bar upstairs, but I never managed to venture that far as I was quite happy enough downstairs. Prices are not bad and they do have offers on so you can have a good night out at a good price. It is really a night time venue so no parking on site, but the taxi rank is about a 5/10 walk away.
