We love YCA! Both of our children started in the infant room, and it has been an awesome place for…read morethem to grow and thrive. From our very first tour, we were struck by how warm, personal, and comfortable the classrooms felt. The staff and teachers are genuinely caring, and it's clear they truly enjoy working with the kids and seeing them grow. Several staff and teachers have been at YCA for years, and it has been wonderful to see our kids form tight bonds that last even after they switch classrooms. The special classes like music, art, Spanish, drama, and Asian folktales, are so creative and exciting for the kids. We are always impressed by how thoughtfully the teachers design age-appropriate, engaging activities while still giving each child the freedom and flexibility to join in at their own pace. Teachers and administrators are consistently friendly, communicative, and supportive. We appreciate the daily photos and short write-ups, as well as the regular opportunities to check in at drop off and pick up. Our kids have made great friends, and the parent community has been welcoming and supportive. As we get ready for our start kindergarten with strong foundations in math and reading, we're grateful for everything she has learned at YCA. We feel incredibly lucky to have found such a consistent, kind, and caring environment - highly recommend.

YCA staff seems to be really happy and I believe most of them have a degree in early childhood education. Unique to their center, they have daily special classes (music, Spanish class, art) and as an OT I appreciate their emphasis on promoting independence in self-care tasks. They also support potty training as needed, use a well-established handwriting program for their preschool class, and are very strict when it comes to preventing food allergen exposure. And they must have incredible hygiene practices or great ventilation in their building because my kids rarely got sick after joining their center. Both my children love YCA, the teachers, and the friends they've made there.

Our daughter, Aviana, joined Willow Tree in 2021, during COVID, as part of the first Tiger class…read morewhen she was three years old. After a wonderful nanny-share at home--where we could closely observe and control every aspect of her day--my wife and I were understandably nervous about transitioning her to preschool. We did extensive research and toured nearly ten preschools and daycares. Willow Tree immediately stood out. From the very beginning, it was clear that the director, Liu, and the entire staff were genuinely loving and attentive caregivers. From her first day, Aviana loved going to school. Her development accelerated noticeably--she made friends, gained confidence, and even happily ate the school-made lunches. We initially had questions about the Mandarin immersion program and whether it might delay Aviana's English development. Liu reassured us that the opposite would be true, explaining that children's brains at that age are "like sponges," capable of absorbing far more than we often realize. She was absolutely right. Aviana's English continued to flourish, and her Mandarin grew from zero to a working knowledge of the language--truly incredible. To sum it up: if we had to do it all over again, we would choose Willow Tree without hesitation. Two years later, we enrolled our younger daughter, Amelia, when she was just a year and a half old. She began in the Bunny class, moved on to Penguin, and is now in Tiger. She loves it. Her Mandarin is now as strong as her English, even though we speak only English at home. On more than one occasion, I've caught Amelia dreaming in Mandarin--a constant reminder of how much she has learned in such a short time. Willow Tree has provided an exceptional academic and developmental foundation for both of our girls, along with a truly welcoming and supportive community. As Amelia prepares to graduate, we know we'll remain connected through the friendships our daughters have built and the families we've come to know beyond the classroom. We couldn't be more grateful for Willow Tree.

The kids enjoy diverse, nutritious meals and plenty of snacks, and teachers can really spend quality time with each child thanks to a good teacher-to-student ratio. Daily lessons and activities--from storytime and art to music, movement, and outdoor play--keep children engaged, while elective classes and special workshops give them extra chances to explore new skills. Graduation performances and holiday events are thoughtfully planned, letting kids have fun and show their growth and talents. The director is supportive, and the team is full of patience, care, and dedication. I'm proud to be part of it.
