I must say I was really impressed with Whitaker Dental in Bryan Ohio. I had to make an appointment for a small filling that fell out and within a couple of days I was in the chair. The weather was bad that day, so after sitting a while I thought I would ask if I should reschedule my appointment; Then Dr. Christine Zhang came in and said, no way; you waited for me now I will take care of you. She explained that I needed a second filling and Dr Zhang took care of both of them, saving me a second visit. She apologized for the wait which was no issue, but I must say the short wait was well worth it... saved me from having to make another visit. read more

As someone often does when moving to another state, I've been working on getting established with new medical providers, including finding a new dentist. I called Whittaker Dental and asked if they were accepting new patients and was told they were, so I scheduled an appointment for a routine cleaning. I figured a cleaning would be a good way to meet the staff and dentist and see if the office was a good fit before I ever needed anything more serious. I had to wait about a month and a half for the appointment, which honestly didn't bother me since that's pretty typical anymore. A few days before my August 10 appointment, I even received a text from their office confirming it, which I appreciated. Then came the day of the appointment. My appointment was scheduled for directly after work, so I rushed out of the office to make sure I arrived on time, only to be told by the receptionist that she couldn't find my appointment. I showed her the confirmation text I had received from their office. She confirmed that yes, the text was from them, but somehow there was no appointment for me. What bothered me most wasn't that a mistake had been made. Mistakes happen. It was the way it was handled. There was no real explanation, no effort to figure out what had happened, and no attempt to make the situation right or get me rescheduled after I had waited a month and a half and rearranged my schedule to be there. That's certainly not the first impression I was hoping for when trying to establish myself as a new patient. Needless to say, I left without having my teeth cleaned and will be looking elsewhere for a dentist. read more

She had a complete dental plan for me but only did what my insurance covered even though i had financing for all of the plan, the staff as cold as ice and very disrespectful. Maybe because i'm a 68 year old Vietnam vet they think i'm senile or something, lol, i think they are just cold hearted and greedy, go there if you want to. read more

Phone calls are not returned. I called the emergency number and left a message and 3 days later had to call again. After being seen with a critical issue, I was told prescriptions would be called that day, but were not. The following day my call was not answered so left a message inquiring about my prescriptions. No call back, and no prescriptions called in for that day either. I left a second message and asked if they would please call and let me know what was going on. Very upset as I am dealing with some serious issues. Messages also are not relayed to the doctor. read more
