But there is a large staff - which you would think would be a plus - but it isn't. They are all very friendly, but there is too much inefficiency. When it works well, there is no problem. But when there is a problem, it becomes an exercise in frustration. I had a very frustrating experience with the billing department last year. This year, I have been waiting for my new prescription for 22 DAYS now, and they still can't tell me when they will be finished. Why not? LENSCRAFTERS gives you your new glasses in ONE HOUR. Since I only need to see an eye doctor once a year, a well-run office ought to be a quick and easy visit. But it wasn't last year, and it isn't again this year. I'm going to find a SMALLER, more efficient office - where the doctor actually cares about RETAINING patients. When I told the doctor I spoke to on the phone today that I am going to find another office - he said: "That's fine." Totally unacceptable. If you want to be "one of the crowd" - this office is for you.

The hygienist, Paula, said it was time for x-rays. I told her that I did not want x-rays because I have had no issues and I have other concerns as well (none of their business). She was a little huffy about that and said she would inform Dr. Banks. She came back and said he was mad I wouldn't do the x-rays. The cleaning went on as regularly scheduled and when complete she went to Dr. Banks and informed him it was time for my oral exam. Dr. Banks refused to do the oral exam and told her it was because I wouldn't take x-rays. Prior dentists have informed me that if I haven't been having issues it wasn't necessary based on my dental history. Dr Banks has always been nice but now has demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism. I asked the dental office to have him call me....crickets. This isn't the first issue I have had with this office but the others were billing issues which they took care of them because of misinformation. There are a number of chiros in Cedar City and some seem to have a bunch of good reviews on those random, rate-your-doctor websites that no one uses and they're all written in the same tone. (I'm a writer and that seemed suspicious to me). I took a chance and called. I explained to the friendly, helpful woman who answered the phone that I am under a chiropractor's care and just need an adjustment. She was knowledgeable, empowered (no, "let me check with the doctor and get back to you") and they had an appointment available in less than two hours from when I called. The address is wrong on Yelp. It's at 555 S. Sunset Dr. now. I tried to correct it, we'll see if it takes. The office is warm and light, there are two aquariums which are kind of relaxing. Dr. Tyler was friendly, jovial, warm and thorough. The cool thing about this office is you tell them what works for you, not like some chiropractors who will try to convince you that what you need is what they sell/do. Plus, the 90's country music playing in the waiting room was a perfect touch. I couldn't ask for a better experience. Thank you, Dr. North and team!
