    12-28-24 I rushed my…read more5 year old son to this IHC instacare in Cedar city, UT. on the way I called at 6:54 to let them know I was a 2 minutes away and to explain what was going on, but nobody would pick up my call. I pulled in to the parking lot, right in front of the door with my SUV lights on At 6:59. The secretary that was working this shift quickly went to the door, LOCKED it, and started to shut the blinds. She locked the door just seconds from me pulling it open. She ignored me. But as I pulled the door so she would look at me, she gestured to the office hours that they close at 7. I pulled out the phone to show her I was 1 minute away just as the clock on my phone turned to 7. She then opened the door and told me they're closed and we argued if I was on time, then she stated that no doctor can see me because they've seen 60 people today. She said it with an annoyed tone. I told her what was going on with my son in the back seat. He has 105 fever and hallucinating. I need help now. Emergency is 15 minutes from this location... She again said theyve Already seen 60 people And they can't see him, turning usaway from the care we have the right to have. I even begged and pleaded to have a doctor talk to me and see him. I said " don't you have kids" I need help, I arrived on time, I'm sorry if it's inconvenient for you, but he's hallucinating with 105 temp, and I am scared for his life... She then shrugged her shoulders shut the door on me and locked it and walked away as she closed the final blinds blocking all eye contact. I've never felt to angry, sad, and upset in my life. It was so hard just getting my son in the car in the cold. There was no empathy and I never expected that from the health care in a small tight-nit town With few options... As I got home, I started searching if the 60 people a day cut off was a policy of IHC, I found out it wasn't. It's also considered mal- practice to turn someone away from care during hours. This secretary on this shift broke code. The internet says you can file a suit even. Maybe...? But I can assure you, the doctors that didn't know I arrived and needed help will soon, as I will be filing a complaint against her and this office to coorperate. Her boss and her bosses boss will know about this. She shouldn't be working in healthcare or in this office. What a shame. Complaints are on their way. I won't stop until corporate hears this.

    I had to write this review because of my dissapointment in Dr. Smith and his office staff…read more Recently my 82 year old mother made an appointment at Dr. Smiths office. She had been very sick with what we believe was food poisoning of some sort. It had been 9 days of sickness for her and as her daughter I strongly encouraged her to make the appointment. She made the appointment to go in to see Dr. Smith. He has been her treating Doctor for a very long time. She went in last Thursday to Cedar City for her appointment. She got there to find out she had confused the days and her appointment was the next day. Mind you it takes her quite a while to get there as she is coming from New Harmony. She went to go to her appointment the next day on Friday. She encountered heavy traffic on her way to her appointment on Friday. She arrived 10 minutes late. She explained to the staff at the front desk, that she had an appointment but she had run into heavy traffic and how sorry she was that she was 10 minutes late. The front desk lady said she would go ask the Dr. if he would still see her. She came back to tell her that "No, Dr. Smith won't see you today". She is an 82 year old woman, she came twice to make her appointment and Dr. Smith can't see her because she was 10 minutes late?!!! Shame on you Dr. Smith. You couldn't take an extra bit of time out to see my sick mother? Your lack of empathy, compassion and concern is very obvious. I was shocked that you could not see her. I would like to see what you would say if it had been your own mother. How dissapointed we are in your office staff and you. We will be looking for a new Doctor.
