Initially, an unexpected $7,000 in additional fees was added to my loan. While they removed the fees after I caught the discrepancy, the process only deteriorated from there. After I signed the disclosure, communication went completely silent. Days before my closing, they allowed my locked rate to expire and unapologetically offered a rate nearly a full percent higher, forcing a one-week delay to my closing as I had to change lenders last minute. I also to pay a higher rate. Whether this stems from dishonesty or gross incompetence, future borrowers should steer clear.
