I purchased a basic car wash and the gentleman who took my money asked me if I wanted to include a tip for the car wash guys I said no thinking I'm paying for the car wash why would I pay the wages of the employees as well? So the same guy walks into the area where they normally have two guys Prepping your car with water and brushes. The guy who took my money and another guy just stood there and chatted while my car went through the area they were supposed to be working on the car when I came out the other end I still have tar all over the car. The man who was at the machine was friendly and did a great job of upsaleing me to the most expensive wash (it was on sale so I only paid a dollar more). I have a BRAND NEW car. This is the first time I have washed it. After the wash I went to the YMCA which is just a mile down the road. I got out to inspect the job done and I now have two beautiful marks on the side of my car that won't come off and a spot on the hood that is some sticky stuff that I imagine will come off. Russ' Auto wash at 5028 secor in TOLEDO Ohio. Worse experience ever. They didn't compete the job, the owner is rude and very disrespectful. Called me names and my vehicle trash. I do not recommend this place at all. Didn't expect show room quality from a place like this but I do expect the job to be done! I can not believe someone like this is still in business. I have a full video of the vehicle when they claimed it was done to show the condition. They did a great cleaning job on the mats and carpet. Not so good on the rest. Vents not cleaned, top of dash not cleaned and most of the wells had not been wiped clean. Very disappointed in the actual detailing. Will not go there for detail work again. read more

I was visiting in family when I ran across this car wash. I needed to wash my grandmas can and after seeing their sign I changed my mind completely. There is no way that I would bring my car to a business that thinks that it is funny to make racist comments on their sign. Underneath the sign it said, "helping keep dirty hoods off the streets." took my business elsewhere and I hope others do the same. there is no room in a diverse community such as Toledo, Ohio for such blatant racism. Especially at a time when children wearing hoods are instantly victimized in other parts of the country. If I could give them negative stars I would! My wife and I go to file a complaint that the attendants are not doing their job and allowed a truck in the wash with bottles and wood chips in the back. Now the new car we just bought has chip's in the front of it that 1000000% were not there until after she went through. The owner came out to say that it was from bugs and told the employee not to write up the report but instantly put someone at the entrance to inspect trucks coming in. Pretty convenien! read more

PLEASE SHARE!!! RUSS' AUTO WASH Unbelievable! On Sunday July 11th I went to the car wash and sign up for a monthly unlimited membership. For $17.99!! After my first Wash My car was damaged, plastic hubcap (brand new) was broke off and the worker had to go back into the wash and get my mirror!! Yes on Sunday 11th I filled out an incident report and asked for my membership to be refunded and cancel, I told I would receive a phone call Monday morning. Monday morning came and went and never received a phone call I called the office on Monday afternoon! And spoke with a manager named Irene, she wasn't very helpful and told me I cannot receive a membership until she spoke with the owner and then they would go about damages. At that point I simply told her I wasn't worried about the damages and I simply just want my $17.99 back and membership canceled! She told me that the owner was at a funeral it would call me by Wednesday or Thursday. I simply asked there's nobody that's there that can do his job? Am I able to get my refund sooner she said no. And hung up... I let it go! Monday evening I received a phone call from a manager named Mike I asked if I could drive and show my car's damages I told him that I could tomorrow... Then he began to start telling me that it was damaged because I had cheap $20 hubcap replacements.. and then my mirror obviously wasn't put on right... so obviously became angry because first off they're not cheap. And they were brand new. So I told him I'd stop in and following day he called me the following day to tell me to not come in .. That once the owner returned from his funeral he would handle it. So I waited and heard nothing.. and nothing... so I called Thursday evening and left a voicemail no reply... I called Friday and left a voicemail and said that I guess I'll have to file a police report and get my attorney involved.... surprisingly I still did not hear back... now here we are Tuesday. And this is the song called that I have with their company... unbelievable how they run this business! Please share and warn others!!! read more

Disgusting customer service. A customer behind me started honking at me, and ran up to tell me he watched my taillight get damaged during a wash. At first I was promptly taken care off by an older gentleman at the newer Russ on secor (near taco bell). Instructed me the steps, caring and understanding (HE NEEDS TO REPLACE MIKE). Was told I need to speak to Mike. After meeting with Mike the next day, I was told, given Mike's very expert advice (that's sarcasm) that tail lights are apparently glued on to cars (you know, not the bolts or clips that are clearly damaged as I tried to show him). Since he claimed it was glue, he said "see ya" (I kid you not). I'm not sure in what world car companies get away with glueing on tail lights, but I'm quite sure Lincoln does not glue an entire tail light to a SUV metal car (funny enough, Mike was not able to show me where the glue was that held the tail light on). Based on the other reviews here, I can see I'm not the only one and Russ has done nothing about this. Very disappointed. Customer for over two years with their highest paid monthly plan and this is how I'm, and apparently others on this page, are treated. Russ had the chance to make it right (I never screamed, got upset, or acted like the world owed me anything), but failed to make it right which is when Mr. Nice Guy no longer works. I will be sure to share the word about my experience today, but more importantly how you had the chance to make it right and failed epically. Next stop is my lawyer. read more

Went in with a bunch of bird crap on my car and left with a bunch of bird crap on my car, of course I did not realize this until later. BEWARE!! Damage to my vehicle and can't get Russ's carwash to respond back to me !!!! When your car comes off the track, they yell at you and tell you that you touched the wheel (even though I didn't) and they say you didn't hit anything( which I ended up With damage) When leaving the car wash, the guy who had yelled at me, was outside of the carwash on my side. Didn't realize at the time he was looking to see what damage was done to my car! I went down the road to the grocery store and when I got out, I wanted to see how clean my car was ( it was my 1st time at this carwash) and that's when I saw the damage to my rear bumper. Not recommended. I went there and price was really good compare with other car wash places. They told me it is 23 $ to clean my car inside and outside. It was not crowded that day as usual. They spent around 5 minutes. Three men cleaning the car at the same time. I was impressive by their service with the good price but later on when I saw the result I got shocked 1. They didn't vacuumed the car as they promised 2. Car was not clean well outside 3. They did some damage to my car, many scratches on my car I wished that I read Yelp reviews before I had their service. read more

Be very careful! The Secor & Central location in Toledo, Ohio does not keep their tracks free of debris. I paid basically $450 for a carwash after a large object got into my tire while inside of their bay and was hitting the bottom of the car. I had to pay for a tow from their location to the dealership because the car wouldn't move without a loud knocking noise and we couldn't find the issue as the tire gauge did not move. I also had to pay for a rental and a $281 tire. The manager at that location had the "oh well" attitude and the owner wiped his hands of it. He would not even return a call but instead had the manager at the location call me to basically say "oh well" again. I immediately called to cancel my monthly pass and will never visit any of their locations again. Luckily my experience has encouraged my family and friends to stop going to Russ Auto Wash to avoid the same thing from happening to them when no one takes responsibility or apologizes. read more

I went to Russ's Car Wash today at Secor and Laskey. It turned out to be a VERY EXPENSIVE carwash. They stole a baby gift out of my backseat while cleaning my car. Don't ever go to this establishment. I should have realized that they must have criminals working there. This has always been my first choice in Toledo since I bought my first car. Except recently. They no longer post prices and descriptions where a customer can read before purchasing the "package". Today when I requested a written description of what services were offered I was treated with disrespect then when I paid for my service an employee who told me his name was "Joe" was totally disrespectful regarding my request for descriptions of package services. Then he made sexist remarks to the man behind me waiting to pay. Oh by the way the thug style of the male employees is a total turn off. Sure hope this changes soon. Do Not Go There !!! My wife took her car to the Secor at Laskey location after they told her they still did detailing there. They took the car to one of the other locations and brought it back to finish it. The supervisor said so. So much for doing it there. My wife had spilled pop on one of the floor mats and that was her main concern. It was still wet and sticky. They said " it would not come off when they tried to hosed it off " (their words). The floor was sandy and the break and gas pedals had a shinny goo dripping off them. They could not get the sand out of the tread on the pedals and their supervisor told them to put tire dressing on them. Why not use a brush to clean them? Do you want something that slippery on your break pedal? If they could not get sand out of the tread do you think they could the goo out with a shop rag? Now, when you touch your foot to the pedals the goo gets tracked on the carpet. They also tore the door weather seal. They would not get the manager so I went and found him (the owner I think). He came out and looked the car over. He said " it is an old car with scratches and we should expect that kind of damage ". He saw the sticky floor mat and the goo on the pedals and said "it is an old car what do you expect and no way will they pay for a door seal ", but we need to pay them in full !!! He did not even say sorry for the inconvenience ! But he did say they were not responsible. Go figure. How old is old ? How old is your car ? Do you want to put your car at risk, or your safety ? After all THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE !!!!! The head man said so, so it must be true ! Read the other reviews. They can blame the machinery, but the machinery in the detail shop is hand operated, but not this time. i highly encourage anyone to wash there car anywhere else but here i left my wallet in the glove-box and a few hours later i discovered 150$ missing ...i went back and told management about the thrift and they said they would look into it and gave me a free car wash, they said they would review the cameras but they couldn't prove anything ...my suggestion would be if you have to go here, only get an express wash and drive through yourself...this isn't the first time things have came up missing after getting my car cleaned here(change and sunglasses), whatever they can get there hands on . the cars do come out clean but at what cost to me, id rather do it myself... the red headed manager i think his name is joe (a 21 year old kid whos last job was at pizza hut has no credentials) is complexly rude and unqualified for his position as a GM and has only worked there 2 months. i will be taking my business to Minuit man from now on ..or a do it yourself ....this company wont be along much longer at the rate there going also the employees don't even get to keep the tips. so don't bother tiping them, any of the employees will tell you they don't get paid anything more than minn wage and never see a penny of the tips people think its going to the employees for working hard,but its not, so don't feel bad for not tipping. the employees don't care a bit if u tip or not since they don't see any of it anyways unbelievable how they mislead everyone! read more
