Only giving them one star cause it requires it. The service involved cleaning a faucet and just telling me to replace another one. No checking pipes, no going under the house, common sense would tell you if you're a professional that if you have multiple areas then it's a bigger issue. But they have lazy service people so none of that was done and when I had the same issue weeks later I found out the service lied on the ticket didn't mention anything about cleaning faucet and just said he turned the water on and it worked. I turned it off to s fix it. The manager was just as shadowy saying "Well you said for it". DONT DO BUSY WITH THEM. You will pay $130 for nothing and they will imply you're stupid in addition. I've used White's Plumbing twice now. 1st time: I have a rental property and one of the two toilets was giving us issues. The flush wasn't working properly. My partner wound up calling them and they came right away, installing a new toilet for us. 2nd time: This time I dealt with them personally for my rental property. As it stands, we were on the way back from Navarre and my tenant notified me that she had no hot water. Given time and distance, rather than checking the property myself, I chose to have someone else do it. Given the insanity with Hurricane Helene, I was very surprised how quickly White's Plumbing was able to check out the property. The day after I called them they went and fixed the issue, which honestly was extremely minor and makes me wish I had gone myself, but hey, sometimes you have a bazillion things to do and it's better to pay someone else to do it. Needed a new hot water heater. Last one had been immaculately installed and lasted over 20 years. Whites sent our some young kid who wouldn't listen to my concerns about access ( heater is in an interior closet). I tried to tell him not to shove it flush with back wall He ignored me. I asked to wait so I could clean where new one would go. No response. I asked where the shut off valve was. No response. He left wrappers, debris, etc in the closet next to the job. Fast forward 1 year& 8 months. I found hot water spewing from the unit. No shut off valve. No way to drain from the bottom. Finally had to shut off all water to the house. Their on-call guy, Charles was nice enough but wanted me to go back, turn on water and make a video so he could " see" where water was coming from I had already told him abd sent photos. They were supposed to call me first thing in am. They did not I then called, got the receptionist who tried to argue, speak over me, asking " why didn't you call in your first 90 day?" I asked to speak to a manager. " We dinr have any." An owner? None here and no we can't have them call because then yoy would SEE HIS PHONE #. OH NO! Then transferred to her another front desk person, who reprimanded me for " not calling sooner-- within 90 days-- that I mist " have asked" for there to be no shutoff valve etc. On and on and on Whites has gotten sloppy and rude. If you look at their reviews you will see a trend. My guess is that their father who started the business passes it on to his sons and they hire unskilled workers. I guess I was supposed to know about shutoff valves, drainage ports, and pressure release valves. I thought that was what plumbers did? Why do we pay them? Don't expect much from these people or their immature gatekeepers front office staff. Wait until a job you oohed and Ahmed over goes amis and there is hot water sewing everywhere and your floors are drenched and then you have two front office staff blame YOU, try to reprimand YOU. The guy jammed the pipes entering the hot water heater below a shelf instead of running them at a 90 degree angle which you do in tight spaces. So I have a less- than- two years old hot water heater, damages floors, no way to drain it, and even if I could, no way to turn the water off. So no water to the house. But plenty of attitude from the receptionist and bookkeeper Yep. That is the state- of- art " plumbing" that Whites purports to exemplify. Btw, I am an older female, live alone, and on my own, researched the Whites job and determined it's deficits. They are all talk and no quality. Look elsewhere. I received a very timely and well written estimate/proposal from White's Plumbing for replacing my Rinnai on-demand outdoor gas hot water heater. The bid was very competitively priced, and included some hardware upgrades the other bids I received did not. Although several months passed after I got my initial proposal, when I decided to go ahead with the installation, White's honored the bid price and did not increase it. The office manager, Nicole, was invariably polite and business-like with me. The heater was installed as scheduled, on time, and efficiently by Steve and Gary. Even the City inspector was on time and passed the installation quickly. The job exceeded my expectations, and I recommend White's Plumbing highly. Bought a garbage disposal. Tech came out and was wonderful and the device worked for a short time. Called today and first delt with a rude woman who gave me the wrong information about where the reset switch was. After putting me on hold twice, she transfered me to some guy who was also rude, but actually knew where the reset switch was, so that was a plus. The reset switch wasn't the problem, the breaker isn't the problem, none of the things he insisted must be the problem, are in fact the problem. The hill this guy chose to die on was that there must be something jammed in the disposal. There isn't. I'm here with a flashlight and my hand in the thing and he tells me, "We'll, I don't mean to disagree with you, but I'm gonna..." I just hung up. There's nothing jammed in there. This disposal died, just like the last one they just carried off. It hums and vibrates, but it does not work. It is not jammed. Like i said, the tech was great, but the two folks i spoke with on the phone today were very condescending and rude. Avoid.​​ read more

First let me say I am a repeat customer. I have several rental properties in the area so I need a good plumber. Well today, I knew I needed to get a water heater replaced for a small 2 bedroom townhome. Before calling, I located one at Lowes for approximately $450.00. While the service tech was there, I received a call from the office. I was quoted $1,500 to 1,700 for the cost of the water heater (840.00) including installation. They wanted to charge me DOUBLE the true cost of the part and then bill me $185.00 per hour to install it !! How dare them try to take advantage of a customer in such a disgusting and drastic way. As a rental property investor, they could have had years of repeat business from me, however now, I will never call them again. Second, our plumber, Brandon thoroughly explained the reasons for the problems we had just discovered and wanted resolved. The sprayer hose was cracked causing a slow leak. Since hoses and connections are not standardized, he told me how to find the correct model # via internet to order parts directly from Delta. (Which was a great success, by the way) The sink drain baskets were also rusting so he replaced those at my request. The technician resolved all the issues professionally and efficiently, and he was extremely friendly (relating entertaining plumbing stories during his visit) and courteous (offering to remove his shoes while inside the house). While the overall price was fair for the quality of work performed, note that White's includes a travel surcharge for locations in Jefferson County (and possibly in other locations outside of Leon County). According to the technician, they add their travel time to the labor charge at the standard hourly rate. In my case, it added about $60 to the cost of the repairs. read more

I have used White's Plumbing twice before to my satisfaction. But my recent experience with them now has me looking for a more reliable plumber. I called them to have my three outdoor spigots replaced with half-turn sillcocks. Their technician only had 2 of the sillcocks on his truck. I told him to proceed and complete the installation of the two. Afterwards, I noticed that one of the sillcocks was defective in that the ball valve only shut off the water supply if swung 45 degrees short of its shutoff point. That meant if you turned it to its off position, it was actually allowing water flow, quite a bit. I called again for a 2nd service call to replace that bad valve and to also complete the install of the third spigot that I originally requested. On the follow-up visit, a different service technician replaced the defective spigot but didn't have another to complete my original work order. He told me to call the office and submit another service call. After this, I realized that this company is not interested in follow-up nor customer satisfaction. read more

I had a shower pan and pipe leak that needed to be fixed as soon as possible. White's was very quick with getting back to me and great with communicating to me about estimates and setting up a schedule. Carter and Trent did my shower demolition and installation in such an efficient amount of time while Carter communicated the entire process to me and made sure I was comfortable and informed during the process. Carter even noticed my sink, which I knew desperately needed to be repaired, and added that onto my service with no extra time charged. I otherwise would have had to do it in a separate appointment, and he did it in absolutely no time. He also communicated that process to me efficiently and I'll just say he saved me a great amount of time and money and seems to always be sure to consider every possible scenario for the customer when doing his work and truly cares about what he is leaving them with. The pricing is extremely fair for the quality work that they do so im very satisfied that I went with White's for this job. They make sure to be open and honest about pricing during every step of the way and do not scam/try to add on unnecessary & more expensive things for no reason like some other plumbing companies I have death with. Unfortunately, they were very unresponsive to a large commercial project. We asked for an estimate and the work done and paid the tech as soon as he finished on site. We got a call the following day from the office staff saying the tech was "in trouble" for giving us the bill on site (which I immediately paid with a check) and we needed to pay $500 more. Then they could not even accurately put in writing which of the 15 toilets were actually replaced or repaired. The office staff was rude via email and phone and ignored our request (and four emails) to have the owner call us. This large commercial building will never use White's Plumbing again. read more

We called White's to send a plumber to fix the drain and faucet dripping on an old tub. The plumber came at the appointed time and immediately began saying "can't do that". He continued when I specifically mentioned the faucet. I know the faucet could have been repaired because I did one side about a year ago. I wanted to hire someone because I didn't want to mess with it again. He said he could not fix the old faucet. He did fish the cylinder out of the drain and tie it up with wire so the tub would drain. He then mentioned installing a new faucet and drain for around 900.00. I said not now and he left after charging us for the 20 minutes of nay-saying. The owner was informed of this and his plumer said I told him not to fix it.
