Stopped in on way back from State Fair. Nice, clean little base. Facilities all seem fairly new, nice newer base housing and grounds were well kept. Commissary has everything you need but glad I don't to shop there on a regular basis. Seemed like a sleepy hollow which not much around there off base. read more

It's a very small pleasant base that has a youth center a indoor and outdoor pool, they also have a commissary, and a BX. It has a elementary school on base and a middle school + high school off base and there's a bus that comes on base for the middle schoolers and high schoolers. Over all I love Whiteman Air Force base and if your in a military family like me you should be happy if you get read more

We attended the air show on base. It was well done. Plenty of helpful staff. The show was entertaining minus the thunderbirds. There were food and drink tents. Occasionally the lines were long but to be expected. There were plenty of ports pots with the usual long lines. read more

Nice base with all the usual amenities and services. They have a gas station, base exchange, food court with about 4 fast food choices, bowling alley, parks, gym, base hotel, medical facility and auto hobby shops. The base itself is pretty small but for the most part the people on this base are pretty friendly and inviting. read more

They consistently dish out freedom and American justice with lethal precision and accuracy. With the most powerful bomber in the US inventory, the employees are spot on technical masters of their crafts. They have one of the best Air Traffic Control facilities in the Air Force with a good mixture of traffic complexity. Before other countries decide to get out of line, they think about Whiteman AFB and the B2 bomber. read more

Now the is not a bad place at all good people work here who r there to help you, but there's one man in particular who is an angry tyrant. He's older and bald and this is now the second time he would let me have my package after confirming it's mine. He'll talk in a suspicious and demeaning manner and will believe I'm trying to steal a package. Eventually he'll make something up saying they don't have the package there but I use both the route and shop app which allows me to track my packages. I've had friends, father, and sister all have very similar experience when confronting this guy. When no one is available it pick up the package at the address they simply send it to the post office for a future delivery. There's been times I come there and all they ask is for my name and address and that's all I need and the give me my package. But that older man won't believe the package is mine even after I give him everything he needs to confirm it. Like I said I never leave review but this was such a wasteful and aggravating way treating costumers and something has to be done about it.

This base is pretty nice. They have a food court, gas station, a youth center, a bowling alley,etc.. the youth center does lots of cool trips for kids. I would recommend stoping here if you are in the military and on vacation or a road trip. The houses are in a pretty nice condition. The base is beautiful it's a nice base to work at. They have an elementary school but sadly they do not have a middle or high school. If you have kids and are going to live on base they are going to have to go to school of base. I hope that you found this information useful. read more

The building is beautiful from the outside, and inside you'll find friendly staff eager to talk. We stayed for a while taking everything in, of note, they have some nice restrooms to boot. It's not going to be open every time you ride by, so if it is I say take a few minutes to stop by here!

They had tons of them on display that looked really cool. But alas, I'll just have to visit another time. The three star review from me is due to the building and grounds being lovely even though the depot was closed. It is normally open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (although I would recommend checking their website or office for details) This is the former Sedalia, MO train depot and it is now connected with the "Rails to Trails" program and the wonderful Katy Trail that goes almost all the way across the state of Missouri. The depot is a beautifully restored building and tours are given but not on my visit (again, so disappointed)...I'm sure it is very cool! If I come back I'll update this review with more details. We explored the grounds. The bike shop and bike rentals were open, however. I think they're owned by a separate entity (Champion Bike Shop if I'm not mistaken). They also had used bicycles for sale outside the depot. There is ample parking here. Additional tip: If you're in the area and so inclined, do check out Daum Museum of Contemporary Art.
