Keep in mind that there are 20 MORE reviews (if you look...). I have had nothing but a positive experience with Leaders for Life. My son did 2 summer camps this year. Both were a great experience for us! Not only did he have fun, but he learned a lot. He behavior has improved and I noticed that he actually understand stranger danger now!!! Martial arts is not like another sport we have done. My son learned kicks, punches, how to break a board and a few basics for weapons. HOWEVER! When you pay for martial arts at Leaders for Life you are paying for much more than sports. They teach children self confidence, leadership, self defense, self control, patience, respect, honor, identity, and much more. If you ask, it's in all the curriculum they use that they wrote. I spent a lot of time talking to the owner as my son did his camps, because we have had behavioral issues with him in school and I value that he learns those things for life and not just a sport. All the instructors were understanding, caring, helpful and good teachers. They took time to listen to my concerns about my son. I always do research before paying for anything. That is one reason I love yelp! I would recommend Leaders for Life to anyone that is looking in to martial arts.

BEST DECISION WE'VE MADE THIS YEAR!…read more Our family joined Coffrin's Martial Arts this year, and we underestimated the positive impact it would have on us! Our three children (two sons, and daughter) joined Taekwondo, and they LOVE IT! Our youngest son, 7, has had difficult time adapting to remote learning with school, as he's primarily a kinesthetic learner. He's coming out of his shell with Taekwondo, and it's heartwarming. Our daughter, 5, has found new friends, and takes her personal development with Taekwondo extremely seriously. Seeing her become a strong young lady is inspiring! Our oldest, 9, is setting a great example for the younger two! I've personally joined Krav Maga, as it's INCLUDED with our family membership. For no additional cost, I've been able to challenge myself to learn new skills. In a short time, it's made an amazing improvement to my life. I personally have a challenging time with social anxiety, which made me extremely apprehensive about starting. However, every member of the class made me feel welcome, and have helped me feel a sense of belonging. Senior Master Coffrin, Ms. Coffrin, and their entire staff have all made our entire family feel like we're part of something bigger. Their consistency, discipline, and genuine caring is breathtaking. The culture that they've created is astounding, and quite frankly, a much needed antidote to chaos that surrounds us. I finally had enough when he didn't show or message me May 3rd. He attempted to place the blame on me, and said I owe him for lessons. He quickly back tracked when I showed that his accounting was wrong and paid $20 less for his brother's class. Josh's behavior and attendance in this matter was insulting, and I pulled my kids out of class. I refused to pay the last 4 months for my kid that was in regular classes. A total of $220, Josh has sent me to collections for $410???? Never going to see that money Josh.... Need proof regarding the validity of my claims, just ask.

We just earned our yellow belts last weekend! It's a good workout; it teaches kids (and grown ups) discipline and respect, as well as self-defense and the beautiful art of taekwondo. It does feel like a big family in there; very welcoming. My daughter is more of an artist than an athlete, so when she expressed an interest in this, we jumped on it!
