Absolutely love this place! From the moment you walk in (which can seem intimidating from the darkened windows), you're greeted very nicely & quickly. I've tried the Butter Chicken, Tikka Masala, Chicken Vindaloo, & Chicken Tandoori. All perfectly seasoned and creamy. Additionally, the naan is SO yummy. Really enjoy the garlic and now the cheese one! Lastly, I tried the Desi Pazookie this time for dessert (since usually I'm leaving with leftovers) & it was delicious! Definitely a staple for my family every couple of months.

    Kur kurey momo

Absolutely loved this place! The momo was flavorful, and perfectly steamed. But the real star? The Kurkurey momo. So unique crispy on the outside, packed with flavor inside.Super family-friendly too. For kids, the fresh chicken nuggets and fries were a huge hit hot, crispy, and not greasy at all. The mango lassi gets a special shout-out officially 8-year-old approved. And the Gilo Chatpatey... wow. One bite instantly transported me back to the streets of Nepal. This restaurant was giving Nepali street food vibes with something for everyone in the family, Already planning our next trip back!

White Tiger is another great option for Indian food in the area. The restaurant is a bit quaint and part of a little strip mall so they have parking spots surrounding the building. The service was attentive. All the food we had was delicious. The chilly momo were actually spicy for those that enjoy spicy foods. Our only gripe was that the music was loud inside.

The service was spectacular providing pappadum chips as a treat for us to nibble on, but pappadums are my favorite so I devoured it. Hubby enjoyed spicy momos allowing me to take a taste. So spicy but I 'm not a Spice Girl. He had ordered it as extra spicy. I asked the server what I could order that wasn't spicy and his suggestion was spot on. Enjoyed every bite of the Pista Korma choosing Shrimp. Eaten with the perfect rice was divine. The restaurant was so well decorated and clean proving comfy chairs which allowed us to enjoy our meals. Afterwards I ordered Mango juice just to enjoy the ambiance more. We will definitely return!

The goat was very tender, comes off the bone on touch. Service was really sweet, even got us ice bucket, to keep our drinks cool. Place is cozy and nice for date. Recommend to try for sure!!!

Excellent service, good vibe, comfy couches, cushions and decor. Now to the great stuff--such a diverse menu. The "chips" and dip were tasty while we ordered from the menu. We ordered the muhgali dish with chicken and the veggie mono dumplings. Nice pour of wine from a very nice bar area. Will return if in the area

Ok I rarely give a 5 star to any restaurant but this one sure deserved it! We had the vegetarian chow mein, vegetarian jhol momo, and vegetarian kothey momo with mango lassi and salty lassi. All of it was mouth watering delicious! The Jhol momos were our favorite. The service was really good, the ambiance was amazing - friendly staff and service was very quick as well! I am so glad we found an amazing momo spot and are sure coming back! I definitely recommend this place 100%

Update: still great, but when we came back we found out the previous dish (veggie koram) is not vegan, so I went with the mixed vegetable curry and okra this time. The roti smelled like it might have had butter/ghee on it this time so we didn't eat it even though we ordered it, so just be careful if you eat here and double-check with waitstaff.

Vegetable Koram (korma) with Garlic Naan

Tried this place for the first time on a Friday night and was not disappointed. There is some parking around the building, so I doubt there would be an issue finding a spot ever. On first impression, the decor and vibe is really nice, makes it feel intimate and upscale. Seating is also very comfy. The food: I ordered vegetable "koram" from the menu which should actually read korma, and I got it medium spicy. Vegetarian dishes come with rice included, though not noted on the menu. I also shared garlic naan with my husband, at first I thought it might be too garlicky, but with food it was perfect. I even had a full meal worth of leftovers. This is probably my new favorite Indian place in the area.

I got the garlic naan, butter chicken, and vindaloo. All were amazing and full of flavor. The naan was especially fresh and soft, and paired so well with the curries. I got the desi pizookie for dessert and it interesting, but I wasn't a big fan of the red syrup and it wasn't as sweet as I expected. The environment is super calming and the service was great and attentive. A little on the pricey side, but worth it for the quality of the food!

I am very excited to have a new Indian restaurant in the near west end! White Tiger just opened, and if they maintain the quality food and high level of service, I'm sure they will be a success. We were greeted and seated right away. Interior is welcoming. Tables are spaced nicely. Everything we tried was delicious (see below and in pictures) Good portion sizes. Excellent flavors Side note, I loved the black silverware and fun bowls) What we ate: Naan- butter and garlic Muligatawny soup: Indian blend of vegetables lentils and spices Tandoori Chicken: Spiced chicken marinated and roasted. Paneer Pasadena: paneer cheese, stuffed and fried, served in creamy, nutty tomato sauce Gaja ka halwa: Indian Carrot Pudding that is made with carrots, milk, sugar, ghee, cardamom, and nuts My rating rationale  +1 Service +1 Food~Taste/flavor/quality +1 Presentation +1 Atmosphere/vibe +1 Value

Only opened 10 days so we had to check it out. They did not disappoint! Excellent service, food and atmosphere. When we arrived we were greeted immediately and told to sit wherever we like. We sat at a table for 2 but the waiter moved us to a bigger table once he saw that we ordered a lot of foods. They provided bowls of complimentary mulligatawny soup which was the best I've ever tasted. The paneer dish and the tandoori chicken were both perfect. They asked what spice level from 1-5 would be like. We requested that the paneer be a one and the chicken to be a 3. They were perfectly spiced based on our requests. We were pampered with attention and was offered free desserts. A sweet dish I've never tasted before called Gajar ka Halwa served warm. A tasty sweet carrot pudding with crushed pistachios. The restaurant is newly opened and renovated so it's very fresh and clean. There's a good amount of parking in the strip mall. A wonderful experience and we will be back.

Tulsi feels extravagant and upscale from the moment you enter. The lighting was lovely, each of the different lamps exquisitely lining the walls provided a golden hue throughout the space. We were seated immediately with no reservations. The atmosphere was quiet and cozy, great for couples to catch up and talk about their days or get to know one another. Our server was attentive and polite. He gave us time to peruse the menu at our leisure, while he brought out the gratis before-the-meal appetizer. It was like a crispy naan with three distinctly different sauces. It really was quite delicious. I ordered the Chicken Konkani and my partner had the Chicken Curry. As connoisseurs of a great many Indian restaurants, we quite enjoyed the entrees at Tulsi. I savored the coconut creaminess of the Konkani. I also tried my partner's curry, and it had a rich aromatic flavor as well. We didn't try dessert because we were simply too stuffed by the end. The choices were almost tempting enough to persuade me, but we refrained. Tulsi is for lovers, just like Virginia, so we were in great company. I wholeheartedly recommend giving this spot a chance. We will definitely be back to partake in the fine dining experience on offer here.

Picked my sons up....they didn't wanna hang with me, even a little. SOOOO I went to dinner at Tulsi. BY MYSELF The place would be great for a date or a little romance. The ambiance was a lil sultry as the sun went down. The amount of food they give you is substantial. I had the lamb tandoori it came out sizzling like fajitas or the east(I'm sorry if that was racist) The naan was delish But the STAR was the lemon-drop martini I had. Bartender must have saw, me a solo diner that had been abandoned by her own younglings and felt for me because that thang was STRONG and I appreciated it. I was a little tipsy(I don't usually drink so it did not take a lot) it was cool because my big one will drive. At the end I had plenty of leftovers that my sons will get NONE of. It was enjoyable. Here were our hits and misses: Potli samosa: cute presentation, but ultimately just a samosa. Not a miss by any means but not something super innovative in the flavor department (in case you look at the menu expecting that) Lamb rada curry: def a hit! Lots of lamb, lots of flavor. Do ask for mild if you can't tolerate heat Iike my husband and go for a side of raita also. Kadhai paneer:medium is perfect, these guys do spicy FOR South Asians which, as South Asians, my husband and I appreciate but it's worth keeping in mind for those not used to "desi spicy". Plenty of paneer which I appreciated and it was soft not rubbery. Hit! Lost in lychee: such a pretty drink! I like the rose ice in the middle but it does dilute the drink a bit. Still very floral, very pretty, very light hit! Bombay smash: spicy, smoky from the cumin, and exactly what hubby likes in a cocktail. Hit! We arrived on a pretty quiet Sunday evening and had zero complaints about the service. A worthy spot if you are craving Indian food in Richmond!

It is a fairly upscale place, and while I had some skepticism of the need for another Indian restaurant in this neighborhood, this one was excellent. Offering a modern and largely North Indian menu, it had an interesting range of choices. The salad I started with had some herbed goat cheese balls and an excellent crispness to the greens, and my chai was full of flavor. I challenged them to deliver the maximum spice level on the entree I tried, a spinach and potato dish I hadn't seen before. It was quite venomous, to the point where I felt the lining of my stomach had probably had enough punishment for the weekend so I took half of it to go. The average diner will probably not be well served by the Indian hot, but at a lower spice level will find a delightful mix of tastes. Adding a bread filled with pureed mushroom was a good way to add a milder flavor. I would be happy to come back.
