Indian Hills Animal Clinic - Medication for the KENNEL COUGH & chemical burns!!!

Let me begin by saying that this experience is regarding boarding, and we have used Indian Hills…read morebefore for boarding with no experience like this. We picked our dogs up this afternoon and were more than unpleased with the state of our dogs; our Pyrenees, Piper in particular. Indian Hills requires that we pay for baths for boarded dogs, yet when we picked them up they smelled far worse than when we dropped them off 5 days prior. And this wasn't just an outside smell, this was borderline septic. Not only this, but I've attached photos of 3 separate cuts on our dog that we did not drop her off with. We board our dogs together, and although sometimes they play rough, never in nearly 3 years together has our husky ever shed blood on our Pyrenees. Additionally, while our dogs do generally graze, I find it very hard to believe that of the 2.75 gallon bags of food we sent with them that they only ate 3 quarts during their entire stay. That, and when we got them home they drank wildly from their water bowls like they hadn't gotten any access to water in quite some time. Finally, I'm well aware of the dog's bathroom schedule; it's past 3pm and I'm fairly confident that when I just took my dogs out that it was the first time they'd been out all day. Call me dramatic if you want, but these are all pretty important red flags to note. And as a result, I'm not happy. I expect where I board my dogs to trust that they will have a safe, positive experience. This didn't seem to be either, and people should be on the lookout for similar things if they choose to have their pet boarded here. I won't be back.

This vet's office doesn't deserve 1 star. My vet retired…read morefrom practice, so I saw Dr.Hall 1 time to establish care, should my older dog need a health concern addressed. I received 3 estimates for 3 different procedures all of which included anesthesia for my 13 year old dog. I won't give out every detail, other than to say, my dog had her medical event, I called during business hours and I was informed that they couldn't see her until October 15th, but I could come by, pick up some antibiotics, and call around to see if someone else could see her. I went to Energi pet and she received excellent care and treated us respectively and gave additional information that helped us make our decisoon. I'm grateful Dr.Hall didn't see us yesterday.

Good vet office, you just have to make sure they charge you properly. We were originally over…read morequoted for boarding and 2 spays for our young cats. We also had surprise charges when we were informed while on vacation that shots were required for all 3 cats. We requested quotes months in advance, multiple times and yet the cost continued to go up after dropping them off before vacation. Our original quote was close to $400 and our bill upon leaving was close to $650. A senior admin helped us by correcting the boarding fees to include the free boarding after spaying our girls and allowed us to pay part upon pickup and the rest at the beginning of next month. I understand that pets are expensive but what is lacking at this veterinary clinic is transparency.

Okay, so I am a first time pet owner...I take my kitten in recently for her first exam. They said…read moreshe was okay and everything checked out okay. I bring her back in a few days later because she had been throwing up/experiencing diarrhea - I drop her off early in the morning and go to work. I never even heard back from the vet. had to call up there and ask if she was ready for pick-up. Upon picking her up (at nearly closing), they notify me that at some point my kitten had took a 'number 2' in her kennel on the blanket...and the blanket was covered with it -- not only that, but the cat had I guess rolled onto it somehow, but the vet never bothered to at least clean that part of her. They give me a bill but the doctor didn't even come out to let me know what was wrong with her. Not only that, but they couldn't work out payment options with me on payment. So I'm rating this a 2/5 stars because their customer service didn't seem all that up-to-par. For the bill I received, they could have at least spent 2 minutes explaining what was wrong with my cat and or at least cleaned her a little bit from where she obviously rolled around in her own 'number 2'. I am already starting to look for a new vet. Sorry to say, because I was referred here by someone.

Very disappointed with this vet clinic. I decided to give them a try because their location is very…read moreconvenient for me. My dog cut his paw on a rock and it look like he needed stitches. However, the cut didn't seem to bother him and he was still walking around without a problem (pain wasn't a problem). I brought my dog in at 10:30 and they said the vet could see look at him asap and they would call me with a cost estimate and then if I approved they would call me for a time of pickup. Their cost estimate was much higher than any other vet in the area. But since the vet had already seen my dog, I would have to pay the visit fee regardless if they even touched him. So I went ahead and gave them the ok to operate on him at 11 o clock. I called back to check in at 2 to see if he was ready. They said an hour. I called back at 3. They said he hasn't woken up yet...I finally went there and demanded to get my dog around 4:30. Someone had to carry my dog to my car because he was so drugged up that he couldn't walk. I had to sit with him in the truck of my car for two hours before he could walk. He was shaking and drooling uncontrollably for about an hour after pick up. When I called to ask why he was acting like this, the vet said that they gave him double the dose of medicine to put him under. His procedure didn't need him to be unconscious, let alone give him two doses (60 lb dog that is very friendly). Not to mention they had my dog for six hours to give him 6 staples (not stitches) in his paw. Bottom line: they had my dog for way too long, didn't communicate his condition with me, gave him too much medicine to jack up the prices, and thought it was acceptable to release him when he was so dazed from the drugs they gave him that he couldn't walk for hours. His paw is healing fine. But this is not the place you want to take your vet unless it is an emergency.
