First of all, I had an enormous amount of dentist trauma from my childhood which caused me enormous fear and stress in the past. Dr. Mallery and all of her staff are, without fail, compassionate, caring, patient in answering questions and ready to explain everything. The first time I went to their office for an extraction, my trauma had me terrified. I'm sure I was not a "good patient" by any stretch of the imagination. However, I was never made to feel bad about my fears. I was met with deep compassion and empathy and was given all the support I needed to get through the procedure. Dr. Mallery has been my dentist since Sept. 2025 even though I live near Chattanooga, TN, a two-day drive (for us in our 70's) from Bradenton. Back in Aug. 2025 I had a crown done by a dentist in Chattanooga. Two and a half weeks later I was in terrible pain & the Chattanooga dentist "could not" see me for over a week. I found another local dentist who took me on an emergency basis. He told me the root had been damaged while removing the old mercury filling & the root was dying--thus the horrendous pain. He said I needed a root canal. I knew enough to know that I did NOT want a root canal. I started researching them online and found the wonderful, informative website at White Sands. It confirmed that I did not want a root canal! I also discovered, from watching the video of SMART mercury amalgam removal, that the Chattanooga dentist had NOT by any stretch of the imagination used safe technique to remove my large filling--even though I asked her repeatedly about it. Instead, what she did released a lot of mercury into my body. On a whim, I called White Sands to ask some questions about amalgam fillings. Lucas answered, and he was so kind and informative. He told me that they could get me in within a few days if I could come down. Rather than start cold-calling dentists in Atlanta to see if one could see me, I accepted the appointment. Dr. Mallery had planned to see me on Tuesday, give me more antibiotics to keep me going, then remove the molar on Friday when there was room in the schedule. As soon as she examined me on Tuesday, she told me the tooth needed to be extracted immediately and she would make it happen the next morning. Based on my excellent experience that time, my husband and I have chosen to return to Dr. Mallery to have my 7 other mercury amalgam fillings removed. We have completed two trips and will return for the final fillings to be removed next month. I am extremely grateful to have found Dr. Mallery and her team at White Sands Holistic Dentistry. When I made an appointment for a teeth-cleaning for my mother, they told me that their doctor would have to exam her first prior to cleaning, which seems to be a standard. In fact, I recently had a teeth-cleaning at a different dentist, and they took the x-ray and then the doctor checked out my teeth and cleaned them. When we arrived, Brandon asked us what my mother was there for that day, so I said "Teeth cleaning." They started with x-rays, and in the process, they told me that there's no cleaning that day, and it would be scheduled for September! That was not what I was told. When I made the appointment, I made it clear that the exam and cleaning had to be on the same day. My mother was taken to the ER by ambulance a month ago, got a stent, discharged, was recovering well, but took a fall. Consequently, there are barrage of her medical care, and I'm the sole caregiver. In addition, I'm also the sole caregiver for my 18-year-old dog, which is even more challenging. So, I would not have made an appointment had they told me that they would not do both on the same day. I have not even had a moment to work for a month now, and would have never agreed to make two trips. When the office manager said that there was not going to be any cleaning, she also said the charge for the day would be $540 (even without cleaning!). So, I stopped them right then and we left. I've never seen a dentist that would charge $540 for an initial exam and imaging, then would not schedule a cleaning appointment for 6 months! Aren't we supposed to have it done every 6 months? Alicia was polite and cordial, but there was a really rude woman who harassed me as we were leaving, and if she was the actual dentist, I'm so glad that we left before she touched my mother. They doubly deceived us; 1) they should have told me that there would be a 7-month lag for the cleaning when I made and appointment, and 2) Brandon should have told us when I said my mother was there to get her teeth cleaned that day. Instead, he proceeded with the x-rays and injured her mouth (see photo). I've never seen anyone got injured like this for a simple dental exam. Never. I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 for Alicia's polite attitude and fairness to withdraw charges. My mother's experience was the farthest from holistic care. It was brutal. : After reading the reply from Dr. Mallery herself to my Google review, I am reducing the review to 1 star -- I wish there were an option for negative stars. She lied through her teeth (pun!) that my mother didn't want to leave and I'm an elder abuser. She well knows that my mother was appalled by the way her staff treated her. My mother was telling them that they deceived her, and I even had to calm her down. This morning, she further complained that they not only injured her lip but caused multiple canker sores! Dr. Mallery is not only unethical, but now publicly slandering me. Accusing someone of elder abuse is a serious defamation that faces legal consequences. I'd like any government officials to directly interview my mother and hear how upset she is with this practice and what a disgusting liar Dr. Mallery is! Un-bloody-believable! read more

I had a bad experience with Mallory today. In my opinion she is not compassionate and likes to charge you for her time talking about that next appointment when she will fix your oral problem. She comes across as if she is compassionate but her true colors are deceptive. Her work is good but she likes to charge money every time you need to talk about anything. She mislead me and fooled me into her supposed Oral Surgeon reference Eastman whom is not a Certified Oral Surgeon but took classes and has a certificate to do Oral Surgery. I have been abused by an Oral Surgeon in Sarasota that 'pulled a Rambo' according to my dentist at that time and really screwed my mouth up. So I told her I need a Real good Oral Surgeon and she referred Eastman whom is not qualified to my complicated case. She feels I am a problem today and we walked our separate ways. Because our appointment today she said would be just to talk. I didn't come there to talk and get charged. She always does that she claims so she can really see what's going on. Really!!! As if all her patient's are a bunch of idiots.... My composite fell out and she needed to observe that first, then I could make another appointment. Why waste your time and money with her? They literally won't even see anyone who has received a COVID vaccine. Which means both that no one in that office is vaccinated. I love love love White Sands Dentistry!!! Everyone here is incredibly smart, professional and yet personable!!! Dr. Mallery does her research to make sure every product she uses is safe and effective. I was just at an appointment a few days ago where she replaced many toxic metal fillings. While in the middle of the process she discovered one of my fillings put a crack in my tooth. She was able to fix the crack and put in a new filling. Prior to seeing her I wasn't eating on that side of my mouth because it hurt to chew (now I know why) now, I'm able to chew on both sides of my mouth. This dentist has issues. My husband and our family has been going to this dentist since 2018 when we moved here. Today he received a call asking if he has had his vaccines...he said yes....the lady on the phone said she would have to check with the dentist to see if she was comfortable still keeping his Monday appointment. My husband said no....it's ok if you have to check with her about keeping my appointment because of my vaccines....I wouldn't feel comfortable ever coming back for lots of reasons. One....who is sanitizing properly and oversees people wearing masks and social distancing ...no one there has been vaccinated and could be most definitely be carriers themselves and lastly....who wants a "doctor" who goes against the CDC and current Covid information. Dr. Mallery is a wonderful dentist, however her office staff is very difficult to work with. Payments go missing and they often want to change charges. if it was possible to give them no stars, I would. I have asked for images of my X-rays and cone X-rays for months, but to no avail. I payed almost $600 for these images and the practice will not release them to me. totally unresponsive. they do not return calls or acknowledge having received a call. their prices are ridiculously expensive and the front desk is incompetent. I have never dealt with a practice that is this blatantly incompetent before. By law, my dental films are mine and yet they refuse to release the digital images to me. I don't know if they will allow this review or censor it, but if I could, I would give this practice zero stars. Firstly, this is the only practice in town which will take a credit card but make the patient pay for the credit card fee. They're happy if you give them cash - not hard to understand, why!! Secondly, this is the most greedy dentist I have ever come across - thankfully, I never got any work done at the office - just a bunch of x-rays and consultation. I was advised to extract 3 consecutive teeth and put in a partial denture since I was not ready for an implant. So the office placed an order for the denture. Within 24 hours, I called and cancelled the procedure, because I had found another dentist who was willing to treat those teeth without extraction. Even though my procedure was still a week away and I had cancelled the order in less than 24 hours, they made me pay half the price of the denture. I told them I could call the denture company and talk to them directly requesting them to waive off the fee, but they wouldn't give me the number, because I'm pretty sure they had not even placed the order by then. If that was not bad enough, I got a letter from the office discharging me from their practice. Seriously!!!! Did they ever think I was going to visit them again??? I had a horrible experience - would never recommend White Sands Dentistry to anyone. read more

White Sands Dentistry replaced a broken crown last fall. They required that I pay for the service when the service was performed. My insurance company reimbursed them $578.00 more than they expected so I had a credit on my account since October of last year. When I went in for my cleaning I asked that a check be issued or a credit be issued back on my credit card. They said they had to wait to get a check from their CP on 2/5/2015. My appointment was today on 2/26/2015. They expect payment when service performed but they did not have the courtesy or the honesty to return my money which they have now sat on since October of 2014. Where they ever going to refund? How many other patients $ do they have and have not reimbursed. read more
