Outdoor seating. If this library could get a hefty philanthropic donation, a facelift for the building would set this library off. But it is endearing as it is now. But recently I decided to stop by the library again to use it as a bit of a co-working facility. It is just such a great place. The Gresham branch has plenty of parking. It is full of resources available to everyone. The library itself is full of light, and has just enough background activity to be interesting, while still being quiet enough to get some work done.

The staff member reading the story was enthusiastic & encouraged the kids to participate with hand gestures & songs. They got to do water color painting afterwards, too. The book checkout process was so simple thanks to the high end computer that just scans the books on its own when you set the stack on there. The staff was friendly as well when greeting us. We have made story time a regular event now :)

Schedules of kids activities, programming classes and other pleasantries were listed at the front desk. More than anything, I was surprised at the number of different sections to relax here. The children's area was bright and had plenty of area to read and be read to, in addition to a half a dozen computers. A number of study carousels are available for those wishing to get their study on, and all include plenty of outlets. Perhaps the coolest area they have here is the fireside reading spot - a few comfy chairs and a place for your coffee! More books that you can shake a stick at and a nice selection of DVDs for rentals. All in all, a lovely spot to read, study or just hang with the kiddos!

Staff is knowledgeable and easy to work with. Just a list of their monthly programs can take up to 8 pages. Sandy Library brings music, culture, and digital outreach to the community of Sandy in a thoughtful way. Every first Friday of the month they have a great event, Library Coffeehouse. Starbucks donates coffee, the Friends purchase light snacks, and there is a great band from 6-8.
