    A little weight training!
    Lorenzo H.

Good energy, good people, & a great workout! The YMCA White Rock is so much more than a recreational facility; for many it's like a second home where there always a friendly face waiting to greet you. The immaculately maintained, two story contemporary location, offers everything from swim and dance lessons to yoga and weight training for a diverse community of all ages. Need a fun and safe place to leave the kids while you workout? They have you covered, how about an area to relax and finish up some work with a cup of coffee; yes they have that too. The membership fees for individuals and families are always kept affordable, and the spirit of giving makes the facility with its state of the art equipment and camps available for those who need a little assistance. Keeping your body in motion is so important, why not do so in a place that feeds your soul, and spirits? You'll be so glad you did! Xoxo Lorenzo

We have a large family (5 teens, 2 adults and 1 senior). We pay $121 for unlimited access (classes, visits). We can utilize the Y's in Austin when we visit friends and other nearby locations with indoor pools. It's a great spot for the entire family. Also love that they offer financial assistance on their programming (our neighbors received a scholarship on their membership and kids sports when they lost their job). Thankful to have a Y nearby. Mom (81) loves it as well as they have a thriving senior population. It's not just a gym, it's a community.

They call me the White Rock, so I totally get why this gym is named after me. The YMCA we used on the first day was a mixed bag. It's a beautiful brand new facility with a nice view out of the many windows. However, they have absolutely no upright stationary bikes, other than a couple of spinners which are very uncomfortable and are not what I was looking for. It's maybe the first gym I've ever been to from YMCA I didn't have any of the type of bikes that I use. I can use any of the many different brands - they just didn't have a single one. It had most of the weight machines that we use and that side of things was not too bad. There wasn't much of a wait time for anything. The wifi works really well and the locker rooms are nice. They let us right in without any kind of security phone call. The parking lot was fine but it would be nice if they had underground facilities to stop your car getting super hot in the summer. Overall I would give it a 4-star rating largely because they didn't have any of the bikes that I needed. Anyway, I liked this gym, or my name isn't Duane Johnson.

This is a gorgeous location an upgrade from their previous two sites. The staff is excellent and are hard working. They seem to always be buzzing around, keeping the areas clean, getting things ready for customers. The gym floor is full of cardio and weight machines, so there is ALWAYS an open machine. It does tend to get crowded at the peak times (early AM and 5-6pm). My only complaint is the space in the free weight area. It is somewhat limited so you may have to maneuver a little to get free space for your deadlifts or curls. There are several benches in the area too, but if you're not using them, they are more in the way than helpful. Overall, this is a very nice upgrade for the White Rock YMCA and a great addition to the neighborhood. Go check it out!!!

I love living so close to a clean, safe gym. The YMCA has great equipment: neat cardio machines, free weights, bosu balls, etc. I have been a member for about a month and am definitely getting my monies worth with the low month cost for a family membership. The only couple of downsides would be the short weekend hours (especially Sunday) and the huge waste of space that is the lobby. They have dedicated about a third of the floor space to a magazine-reading area. They should have purchased more machines or have a bigger stretching area instead of a place to sit and relax. When I go to a gym, I don't expect to lounge around. They should have reduced the lounging area and given a bigger space for stretching and free weights.

I was referred to Andy Ferguson, and he has been laser focused on getting me to my goals. He's knowledgeable and precise in his approach, and has a wholistic perspective that has been very effective. Trophy is also a very good gym, this location is just the right size, is clean, and has good equipment. The staff are friendly and professional - Greyson, john, Gina, and the entire staff is friendly and warm. When I need help they are responsive. I've been to many gyms/trainers, from Los Angeles Equinox, to San Antonio Golds Gym, and Houston 24 hour fitness, but Trophy has really honed in on what makes a gym great and has fair pricing. Plus, parking is convenient and free.

From day 1 every single person on staff was welcoming and personable. One thing that was abnormal about this gym was the community within the gym. I moved to Dallas knowing no one and found this to be a very social gym. Majority of my friends came from meeting other members and trainers. The classes are motivating, the free recovery sessions are a game changer, the trainers are SUPER knowledgeable, and the amenities of a hot tub, sauna, and steam room are the cherry on top. If you are looking for a gym, look no further. Joining Trophy way the best decision I made next to moving to Dallas.

My friend lives in an apartment in the village and she has access to this gym, so while I was…read morestaying with her, we decided to come and work out together. The area where the gym is located is extremely nice, the commons where all of the shared village grounds are (including restaurants and coffee shops, along with this gym) is extremely upscale. My friend told me that in the past, it cost five dollars to bring a guest to this gym, but when we came on a Sunday morning, they told us it was actually $20. We went ahead and went for it since it was just one day, but in the future, just be aware of that. The gym itself is very nice, the facilities are very clean, especially in the locker rooms, and there was a plethora of equipment. Walking in there is a check in desk, and just to the left there is a big staircase next to the indoor space housing a basketball court. If you go up the stairs, there are a lot of machines up there along with free weight /free space areas with kettle bells and yoga mats etc. There's also a small outdoor area with some machines, including a battle rope and a few others. If instead of going up those stairs on entering you keep going towards the back, the locker rooms will be on your right, and there's some additional equipment under the staircase adjacent to the basketball court. Around the corner, there is also a lot more freeway equipment, including a Smith machine (my personal favorite) and free bars for squatting/benching as well as Dumbbells and things of that nature. I noticed also an outdoor area with like maybe a parkour area? I wasn't sure exactly what it was but looked like a grown up jungle gym. And just behind that, there was a large (and busy!) tennis court. On the other side of the gym itself, there were also some large fields that looked like maybe they're for soccer or some other field sport? I didn't see any soccer goals though. There's also a pretty long sidewalk surrounding area that would be nice to walk around, but just be mindful it's not a very shaded area and in the summer in Texas it's pretty hot so I would be careful about that. If you're living in the village, the location of the gym is really great because it's so close by. My friend and I were running late so we actually did drive (took 1-2 min from her apt) and parked in the parking garage underneath the village area; on the Sunday morning that we came it was just free to park there and we didn't even have to take a ticket, the bars were just up when we came in when we left. However, I imagine that if it wasn't a weekend, you may have to get a ticket and pay or validate. Last thing to note: even though it was a Sunday morning, there was a pretty decent number of people in that gym. I never had to wait for anyone to use any equipment or any machines, but I did see some people talking to each other about that. My friend told me that it was basically "empty as far as she was concerned," compared to how it is during the week when apparently it's much busier and you do sometimes have to wait for equipment. Overall, this place is really nice, and given im thinking about possibly moving to Dallas in a few years i am quite strongly considering this area because of how nice it is, and because of the presence of this gym! I wish they hadn't increased the price for guests (or had a fee at all), but for those living here and just using the facilities complementarily, this is a really nice place.

A much needed location since the older downtown location is fairly small in comparison. Being a premier location, the membership is a little bit more expensive than the one downtown, but comes with many more amenities than the alternative. Including: a three lane indoor lap pool, co-ed sauna, outdoor track, cryotherapy chamber (full-body), standing infrared sauna, full infrared sauna, two infrared cocoon sauna beds, Normatech air compression (legs, hips, & arms), four water massage beds, and Hyperice vibrating foam roller/massage ball/massage gun. Also, each locker room is large and includes multiple showers. The only thing they have t included yet are the plastic bags to use for sweaty gym clothes when you're done with your workout. The training area includes an extensive cardio section with new treadmills, stair steppers, etc. that all connect to your Apple Watch if your big in tracking your workouts. The free Wright section has a variety of equipment that is great for any type of training you plan on doing at the gym. There's also two deadlift platforms and four squat racks on the back wall. The gym includes a Cross-functional training section for those wanting to do circuits and/or crossfit, as well as a large turf section for sleds, rolling, sprints, whatever your heart desires. All in all, this is a great facility with a good amount of space. It's newly renovated from what was the older health facility at Baylor-Scott White Hospital - so it's in a well lit parking lot and fairly safe area of Deep Ellum. The only thing you need to consider is how much you want to pay for a quality gym, as a membership here will run you about $89/month after tax (couples membership being $129/m before tax) and the recovery section requires you to pay additional fees - the "All-Inclusive" package (I.e., unlimited cryo, saunas, compression, etc.) will run you another $100/m per person. Thus, it ain't cheap. Additionally, the hours aren't great and I hope they extend them soon. They open at 5:30 am and close at 9 pm - and they will remind you to leave when closing over the speakers. Also, recovery lounge usually closes at 8 pm... but on Friday it closes at 5 pm (gym closes at 7 pm) and on the weekends it closes at 1 pm - which is crazy to me as the gym doesn't close until 5 pm on Saturday/Sunday. This is the main shortfall. All in all though, this is a quality gym with great features and you should definitely take advantage of the trial passes to come check it out.
