The roads are a little confusing if some of them are one way or not. The waterfall area is quiet and pretty. They had some picnic tables. There was a staircase to view it closer and the stairs were a little sketchy. The beach area was pretty wide and we found space. They have a little snack area and a dive center. They also have an inflatable obstacle course for purchase. The restrooms were messy and smelled. The beach was clean and they had trash cans. The quarry water was clear and the water was nice. They have primitive camp sites and electrical sites. We saw that most of the electrical sites seem to have full time residents there. Overall it's a great spot to check out and relax at.

Great resource for students. Not for staff…read more Staff can pay for memberships to the CoRec, but I no longer recommend it for staff. In the fall of 2025, something changed. The corec used to have a family locker room. The name of the family locker room has been changed. It is a small change, but indicative of the overall policies changing. In addition, the pool hours changed to be completely unusable for families. I used to give my son swim lessons at the co-rec, pools, but now, he cannot go because the pools are open at such weird times. Moreover, the pool workers are no longer friendly to families. When my son was 4, they let me take him in the hot tub for up to 5 minutes. It was a nice treat for my son after he did swim lessons. At 5 years old, they said he could stay for up to 15 minutes. I never let him go above 8 or 9 minutes out of caution. I was always with him. The last time I went to the co-rec, my son was 5 this fall, we got in the hot tub like normal. We were told to leave the hot tub because kids under 15 are not allowed. I pointed to THEIR SIGN hanging up that says 5 and up. They said, "I'm sorry that policy is changing. We are no longer allowing kids in the hot tubs." I said that we would stop going in the hot tub out when the sign and the website changed. Then I had 10 lifeguards escort us out of the pool area. My son was not loud or splashing or rambunctious in the hot tub. He was chilling and calm. Yet they insisted the new policy was no children at all. Shortly thereafter, they changed the pool schedule so families cannot use any of the pools. By changing the pool schedule to be unfriendly to families, they also make it significantly harder for students to use it as well. I stopped paying for the corec and take my son elsewhere to swim--places that are family friendly.

First the website can be a bit weird and if you are getting day passes and it keeps saying its 'timing out' you need to make a Plainfield recs account first and it stops being weird. On my visit i purchased tickets/admission on the website because i could not tell if i could get in on location or not. Once we got thru the check in process we went to see the indoor pools first.... Well they were closed. OK... Went outside and its pretty expansive and clean. One of the non-tube slides was down as well as looks like 1/3rd of the exterior swimming items were down for what looked like cleaning since i saw staff working on it. From the maps view basically the huge lazy river side. As a non-resident the pricing i feel was a good value for goofing off in the water for roughly 3 hours. Onsite food isn't anything to rave about but at least it is available and it was not crazy prices. Tons of life guards doing an awesome job from what i could tell while watching the people watching the rest of us so i felt super safe and confortable they were keeping an eye on all the kids. I was impressed enough that I texted three friends photos, told my wife to start planning our son's birthday party here, and was actively asking managers about upgrading to full access because I had just discovered the larger "Adrenaline" area. For context: it's Indiana winter, it was cold, and I had a hooded sweatshirt on with the hood up because I was freezing. During my 2 1/2-hour stay, I spoke with two managers about memberships--neither said a word about my hood. While walking around trying to keep up my child, I heard someone off to the side say, "Take your hood off." I approached the man, who asked me politely. I politely asked why it was a rule. His response was shocking: "So I can see your entire face on my 50 cameras." This was 11:30 a.m. on a Friday, not a packed weekend night. I turned away to continue looking for my child, removed the hood, and muttered "whatever dude" under my breath. That's when the situation escalated wildly. He charged toward me, yelling: "I'm the owner--if you don't like it, leave!" I had already complied. That wasn't enough. He then shouted: "I'll give you your money back!" And finally said something that truly crossed a line: "If there are off-colored people with hoods up and we ask them to take it down, what would that look like?" I'm still trying to understand why race was brought into this at all. Let me be clear: * The facility is great for kids * The staff and managers were wonderful * We were not leaving anytime soon until this happened But the owner's behavior was aggressive, unnecessary, and completely inappropriate. A simple rule explanation would've sufficed. Instead, it turned into a power trip with racial commentary that had no place in the conversation. Rules are rules--but how you enforce them matters.
