I honestly don't think that I would have found anything to be a better fit for my child even if everything had been at my fingertips to choose from. There was no discussion beforehand, no working with us to make a plan, and no time to adjust to his first out of home care experience. I have since talked to many educators in my circle of family and friends and they were all surprised (and a little horrified) that he was kicked out so swiftly. If your child is hyper or neurodivergent or if there is there first out of home care experience - look for someplace with more empathy, patience, and parent communication.

We have had our daughter in this school for two years and she is learning and growing beyond any expectations we had at the start. Thanks to Kat and the loving teachers at this school, Addie is ready to take on kindergarten. The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming. The school is constantly finding new ways to provide kids with the tools they need explore their imagination. They keep in constant communication and send all sorts of fun photos of the kids day through the HiMama App. The school works diligently to maintain good hygiene and addresses safety issues immediately. This school goes out of its way to remain flexible, accommodating, and respectful of the needs of the children they take care of and the parents who depend on them. They inform parents when their child may need some additional support or guidance, allowing us to be better parents. There is no place I would feel more safe for my kids to attend. Addie adores everyone here, a sentiment that my wife and I both share. Although our oldest me be moving on soon, you can bet there is no other place we would consider for our youngest.

The supportive and friendly atmosphere among the parents and staff have made it a great place for us and our kids. Being a co-op school, parents are required to work in the classrooms and earn credits throughout the school year. This has never been a problem for us as there are many options available. Great teachers, great kids, and a wonderful learning environment.

St. Lukes came highly recommended from a coworker that has deep roots in Federal Way. She pretty much knows all the ins and outs of this town. I trust her opinion regarding children as she is a retired nurse with grown well rounded children herself. My child has had the best experience here! Teachers are amazing! They are patient, informative and fun for the kids! My child in the three years attended did not once ever have an issue with a teacher nor did I. Common goal of preparing these kids for elementary both academically and socially has been beyond my expectations. The buildings are secure and safe. Tuition is comparable to most private preschools in the area but I feel you get much more from St Lukes. Weekly Chapel is wonderful reminding the kids that they are loved by our Lord just for being them and encouraging them to seek Jesus is so encouraging to these kids! Sadly, St Lukes only goes to kindergarten. My child will leave here with so many great friends, relationships and memories. I am grateful for this school making his first school experience wonderful.

Well... we moved to our current house because we wanted our kids to grow up in Puyallup Schools…read more Our oldest son and daughter went to Brouillet Elementary. Our experience started off strong as we had some really good teachers but after a new principle took over many of them jumped ship. After a very disappointing and ridiculous approach to the pandemic, we left for private school. We felt that after nearly suffocating our kids for year and a half, we were DONE. Enduring the combination of far left progressive politics infused in the classroom and oblivious approach to child development, it was apparent that, to the administration, our kids were seen as $ signs and political statements, not as people. As far as teachers, there are some VERY good people who work in this district. We have many friends who teach in district and are AMAZING in spite of their environment and the BS they put up with. Now, I would give the teachers overall a 3 star because our experience was so bipolar. One year our son had a really great teacher, who challenged him, held him accountable and pushed him to grow. The next his teacher stopped showing up after the first week. Literally no showed, leaving the whole class in disarray. Ultimately, we felt that the "luck of the draw" approach was absurd, and we subsequently left. Private school is a major sacrifice but far better, very enriching with HIGH expectations for personal responsibility. We will never go back to Puyallup Schools.

Please Please DONT send your child to this school!!! The…read moreprincipal is not caring or understanding and is totally one sided. He is rude and disrespectful to parents especially if your child has defended themselves against being bullied. I do regret ever sending him to this school. I would suggest that you find another school locally that will appreciate your child and their learning environment (the good and the bad). All children make mistakes and making rush to judgements and punishing a child is not the answer. Discussion and Learning is what should have happened in this case. Especially if it was a total mistake in each child's part. Plus if you are a parent of a child who does TaeKwondo, Karate or any other martial arts and your child defends themselves against what they even perceive as being bullied (to get someone off of them) they WILL reprimand you as a parent (which I was yelled at for on the phone by the principal) for teaching your child to defend themselves if they feel as though they were defending themselves against an attack on their bodies. The principal gets very angry and emotional and doesn't want to hear anything from the parents at all. They just automatically think you are a bad parent with a bad child. What a disaster this principal is. Not level headed and is totally not open to other's questions or ideas or values that are not in agreement to the set in stone WA state nanny laws. They are not friendly, helpful or caring in all they do. It is not a good STEM school. Don't be fooled by the STEM part. They think all kids who have issues on how to deal with being on a playground with tons of other kids is a recipe for a disaster and a great way to get rid of kids they don't like at their school. The parents aren't any better. Not everyday is a day of sunshine. There are clouds and storms but apparently they don't understand how to handle such things. The principal rushed to judgement and that is a big Red Flag. My son is a good kid and would never hurt anyone on purpose unless he felt like he was being bullied. And he might have been but it doesn't matter. They just choose a side and don't care the real story. Which is the run around I got. 2 different ones where in 1. my son was shoved to ground by accident and he turned and pushed kid in the stomach and 2. where he was the bully because he turned around and pushed person in stomach to get away but she was trying to help him up after she pushed him down "by accident"... And everyone said it was an accident; so why do we need to suspend one child and not the other???????!!?? Why can't it be a discussion! thanks for ruining my childs record!!! Both don't sound like an issue unless you are a bad principal and because my son is new he took it out on my son and not the other kid. Because the other kid didn't have a history of violence. However, Mine didn't either.. So that still leads me to think either should be suspended or none. but NOPE. Mine was and the other kid got away scot free.. What a messed up principal and school. Can't believe my tax dollars are going to support such nonsense. Seemed like a good school at first as we moved here from TX but they have done nothing but treat us like crap. I just say, BEWARE!!!!! OR suffer the consequences of an horrible school & system.
