I am a grandmother now and have two grandsons who attended White River this year (2013-2014). I have spent about six hours a week volunteering at the elementary school they attend. I am so sorry to see the shape the schools are in. They have administrators who don't know what they are doing. I think the school district is a job hiring program for the superintendent's friends. They get hired in jobs that pay big bucks and they don't know what they are doing. The teachers are teaching to the lowest level in the class, per common core. The classes are crowed. The spending in the district is spent on administration not hiring more teachers to reduce the class size. So sad to see my tax dollars spent this way. My grandsons are going to be home schooled next year.
