Arnold Drilling drilled our well in the mid 90s including the house pressure tank and associated plumbing. They were familiar with the location which is a big plus. Josh, the current owner/operator of the fourth generation family owned business, came out on the service call within 24 hours. He's a personable guy but also lets you know where you stand on the situation . He did the initial troubleshooting and determined the well pump was shot and should be replaced as it was 28 years old. Also, the pressure tank was shot too. He gave us a quote with a price range from best to worse scenario. He said you don't know the full extent of the costs until all the electric cable, PVC pipe, and pump is extracted. I totally agree. We had to fit into their schedule and they returned on Tuesday to perform the repair. Mason and Luke were polite and briefed us on what the work consisted. They worked well as a team, methodically and safely extracting each 30 foot section. When the pump and 760 feet of cable and PVC was extracted, they reviewed what could be used and what had to be replaced with new modern materials. At this point, only the PVC could be reused And only with new couplers. The modern electrical cable and a new Made in America pump were installed. Next came the pressure tank replacement and the final check out. I want to say a couple of things of note. First, this is a small family run business. Not some giant drilling company with a sea of trucks going to the four corners of state. They have other jobs and all are important! Chances are these jobs are for people also without water. So, you have to be scheduled. Second, these companies must adhere to strict EPA and state regulations. They just can't show up and start drilling Willy nilly. The don't work in weather that threatening, especially rainy days when lightning is a threat! So, bottomline, I highly recommend them for all your well needs!
