The photos and information on their website actually reflect their ideals and the quality of their animals. As stated they quickly do respond to answer questions. I picked up my gorgeous rottweiler pup this past Saturday and she's already doing SO well!! Shane was quick from the start when it came to just responding and being friendly and his wife, Larissa, was in just about every video they sent of Reina (my dog) and her brothers being very kind, playful, and interactive with the puppies!! Also, I had something come up to where I need to text Shane and ask if I could move my delivery date out by 2 weeks and he was more than welcome to do that with me. Lastly, I live approx. 15 hours from the kennel and as a woman this was always going to be the scariest part of the entire process, as the ground transporter is a completely different person than who I talked to the entire time. Shane put the driver, himself, and I in a group chat where the driver kept us both updated from the start of his drive until his arrival. We met at in the Walmart parking lot to keep it public, I paid the boy the transportation fee, the girl that was riding with him handed me the dog, they snapped a picture for the kennel's Facebook page (which I already gave my prior consent to), and we parted way. Overall the service was AMAZING, every interaction was lovely, very quick replies, all documents/paperwork were given to me, and I gained a beautiful 4-legged best friend!! At some point in the future I want another rottie and White River Rottweilers is still in business, they will be my first pick! Our beautiful Weimaraner girl is from Gracie and Sterling's Dec. 7th 2018 litter. She is so sweet and is going to be a big girl. The veterinarian estimates she will be around 70lbs once she is fully grown! I wanted to leave a review about how wonderful White River Kennels is since the few negative reviews I've seen appear to be from people that don't know how to properly care for their new family members. We knew puppy pickup day very early so we scheduled a veterinarian appointment for the next Monday. That is something any good dog owner would do. Terry let us know what type of puppy food they were eating, so we already had that purchased and waiting for our little girl. Weimaraners are an energetic breed, so they need lots of exercise. If you are an experienced dog owner you will love this breed. If you are a first time dog owner I would not recommend a Weimaraner or a Vizsla because they are intelligent and will test you during training. If you are not consistent the dogs will not listen to you. Terry communicated with us throughout the entire process via email and text messages. The only difficulty we had during this whole process was selecting our puppy because they were all so wonderful! White River Kennels care about the quality of the dogs they produce and you will not be disappointed. We met the parents and wow! Sterling is a big strong boy! I was interested in a couple of there puppies . The only way I was able to see them was on YouTube or photos on their website. The video on YouTube showed all the puppies very briefly literally for a second and I was unable to choose between the two puppies and being out of state it's very difficult to purchase a puppy like this. I've been asking now for three days if they could please send another video just showing these two puppies so I could determine which one I wanted to get an idea somewhat of there temperament and what they look like. They kept on making excuses as to why this wasn't possible but again said tomorrow .. I told them I was very serious in purchasing one but had also seen another puppy not out of state and wanted to make a decision, but told them I was more interested in their puppies but didn't want to lose out on the other one whilst waiting for a video. I then asked if she could FaceTime me as I started to question whether this was legitimate knowing there are so many scams now and again there was an excuse she would do it tomorrow. I do believe there legitimate or their website appears to be but all I was able to see was a YouTube video and some photos of the website and I started to question do these dogs really exist and why is it so difficult to send a video. I told her I get the impression they weren't possibly wanting to give us one of these dogs and if so I'd then appreciate you tell me then waste my time. Being I'm out of state The only way I could see these puppies was on a video as obviously if I was nearby I would've gone to check them out myself. She then told me again only through messenger she would do it tomorrow. I asked whether she could call me then having to speak through messenger as she then came back telling me both these puppies are actually sold. I don't understand how she makes a business like this if this, and if this is for real and I do believe it is it's extremely strange . If the reason was because I was out of state then just say it, but she told me on day one she was ready to ship the dog of 21st May ,that being a few days away and I still hadn't see the puppies properly . I certainly wouldn't of left a deposit or paid for this puppy Until I was able to see they actually existed or she took the time to FaceTime me. I picked up my beautiful male vizsla puppy on 7/20/19. Terry and her family welcomed my family warmly into their home and patiently showed us the available puppies. I was very impressed by the sweet temperaments of each of their dogs. You could cradle each of the puppies in your arms and it was clear they had been very well socialized. A bonus was they were spunky but not particularly nippy! Terry let me meet the father, Ruger, and he surprised me by rolling onto my lap for a belly rub! I also was introduced to a male and female vizsla each between 1-3 years of age to see how beautiful the adults are. Terry didn't rush my decision and I finally settled on Barney. They gave him a bath and wrapped him up in a blanket for the ride home that smelled like his mother. Upon bringing Barney home I was delighted to see him befriend my parent's golden retriever and brother's greyhound. He stays in the yard, comes when he's called and in general displays a sweet, eager-to-please personality. In fact, the dog trainer at Petsmart has told me she thinks he's a wonderful dog and "comes from an excellent breeder". I've attached some photos of Barney. read more

Got my Kodi boy almost 4 years ago this is April 1. Kodi has been one of the best dogs I have ever had. He is a full-blooded Weimaraner, blue in color with gorgeous green eyes. He has a very sleek body type. He is super active and mines very well. He was very easily housebroken and knows several tricks and is always willing to learn more. He is by far the smartest dog I have had and the closest thing to a person you could get from a dog. He looks at me with those beautiful green eyes and his eyes say everything. Temperament is very calm he is wonderful with cats, dogs, bunny rabbits, and children, pretty much anything that will let him sniff them is automatically his friend according to him... LOL. I have a friend that also got her family's Weim here as well and she has rave reviews too. My husband got a beautiful blue weim from white river kennels. She has been great but upon her arrival we did notice a small hernia. After taking her to the vet they recommended we repair it when we spay her. That it can be normal but also genetic. My husband contacted Terry back to let her know we were going to incur costs and she sent us a pup without any mention of the hernia. We paid top price for pick of the litter. I just feel this could have been handled better. We will pay to have it repaired so our pup doesn't have any health issues in the future but I'm disappointed in how the breeders handled this. Something buyers should be aware of. Other than that our pup is adorable, friendly and a typical weim. read more

When I picked her up it was everything I expected. clean nice private kennel that is breeding weims and vizslas. I got a nice awesome friendly laid back weim. Saw the parents and they said they were calm and happy dogs. she has been the best dog I 've ever owned and I've had a lot. Mellow but by all means still weim. Gentle and great disposition and so smart. beautiful and lots of compliments and very healthy. Decided 2 years later to get one of their vizslas. Our pup is almost 8months! He is healthy and happy, 85# blue Weim! Our whole process of picking and purchasing Holden was flawless. We spent a couple of hours in the living room of their home, picking out the perfect one for our family! As we talked we found out a lot about the owners and their love for their dogs, we also talked about their many medical problems, not for any reason except how the dogs/pups help them stay active and smiles on their faces. We were able to meet the parents, who were healthy and happy too! We are considering adding another pup sometime soon to our home, and that pup will come from this breeder! read more

We lost our 14 year old beloved Weim in August, and decided we were ready to welcome another to our family. White River Kennel was recommended to us, and we made the choice after talking to Terry on the phone, to go with them. We were the first to put a down payment down for a puppy from Wrigley and Tank's litter before they were born. We wanted a female and we wanted to make sure we could choose the one we wanted, so we chose to pay the 100$ for pick of the litter. It turned out that only one female was in that litter so Terry refunded us the 100$ immediately. Time came for our girl to fly from Indiana to Minneapolis...... she was to arrive on 12/24 at 2:30 PM. We received a call from Terry saying there was an issue with the airline, and she had to drive 7 hours to Chicago to get the puppy on a flight to us. She arrived in Chicago to have the airline tell her ( and Terry had me on 3 way with Delta) that the puppy could only be shipped on the 25th, but she would have an all day layover in Detroit before she would arrive. Terry thought that was unacceptable, as did we, and Terry was willing to continue driving to us, but we happen to have family in Milwaukee, and it we didn't find it fair to have Terry drive that much more after being on the road since 4am. Again, Terry was willing, but an hour and a half later, our girl was hand delivered to my family in Milwaukee. We picked her up the next day and brought her home. Our girl River is everything we had hoped for in another Weim for our family. She is stunning to look at, but most importantly, she is sweet, goofy, silly, alert, obedient, and wants to please. She wants to be touching one of us, which is a hallmark of the breed we so love. We are beyond pleased. We were able to watch videos that Terry sent every week watching River grow. River was sent with a large piece of the blanket that was used by her brothers and Momma, and this helped calm River when in her crate. The kennel always looked clean, and by the video, you could tell the puppies loved Terry. It was most evident that you could tell the puppies were well socialized with people as the behavior of ours showed. The papers that were sent with our puppy were some of the most comprehensive our vet has seen. Our vet found River to be perfectly healthy, and as former weim owners knowing what to look for, we do as well. Terry has since been in contact with us following up on how everything is going. It is not only difficult finding a great breeder for any breed, but we have found finding a breeder for Weimaraner's to be especially challenging. Our family had a heartbreaking experience with this breeder. We bought the "runt" of a liter during the last week of 2015. They told us the vizsla pup had been checked out by the vet and was deemed healthy. We signed a contract stating we had 48 hours to claim a problem with our pup. The first week all seemed good - normal puppy behaviors. After that first week we noticed the puppy was urinating more than normal (we have owned 4 dogs prior) and so began our journey of a sick dog. Our vet spoke with their vet, they said they would "clean him up and take him to a specialist" After 9 wks of numerous vet visits, countless prescriptions and thousands of dollars we had to forfeit our puppy back to the breeders. They would not take him to a specialist at their expense. They did not offer any type of reimbursement. They made a good profit from selling a sick puppy. We feel this breeder has no integrity. read more
