A really decent campground run by the county. Clean showers and restrooms were remarkably clean. Campsites were all concrete pads and level. Nice walking area across the historic bridge and close to town for dining if desired. A definite must-return when in the area. read more

White River RV Park in Cicero, Indiana, gets two thumbs up and a marshmallow on a stick from us! The lots are large (not Texas-sized, but plenty roomy for comfort) and the whole park is set in such a beautiful area, it feels like a postcard. The weather? Absolutely perfect. Pretty sure someone pulled a few strings upstairs, because it was the kind of weather that makes you suspicious. ("Okay, who ordered the deluxe sunshine package?" ) Cheeky perks: * So peaceful you can actually hear yourself think... which is slightly terrifying if you travel with teenagers. * The views are so pretty you'll forget all about your Netflix queue. * Campfires taste 37% better here -- don't ask us why, it's science. We'll definitely be back -- unless the weather fairy calls in sick. read more

This campground is very nice, dog friendly and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The greatest hidden gems here is the Strawtown Koteewi Park and the White River. Smooth flat multiuse trails, adventure park, archery, Taylor center of natural history, reconstructed Indian village and horse park. read more

We love this place! Everything is very very clean and well maintained. Everyone was very respectful of quiet hours and it was very peaceful. We stayed 2 nights right on the river on a primitive campsite. It was PERFECT! Very shaded. Each site comes with an aluminum/metal picnic table (I believe). Some have electric and some do not. The bathrooms were super clean! We loved that we were able to be picked up from our campsite and shuttled to a launch point with Kayaks with the white river canoe company, and ended back at our campsite. Lastly the camp store was amazing! So many awesome goodies and of course camping essentials that you may have forgotten. 10/10 and I hope to come back again soon! read more

Took us 20 min at the 6 pm hour to be let in the gate by the hillbilly married KY host wasting daylight for us to set up. She was busy hitting on my partner while I was freezing with my two pups. Horribly LOUD campsites with diesel engines at the nextdoor campsite going off for over 40 min at 6am not adhering to quiet hours. No one answers the phone at this hour to do anything about it. Campsites are way too close to one another along the river. Grass not mowed. read more

This was a great, quiet & very reasonably priced spot that I pulled into with practically no notice. Neighbors were friendly & inquisitive about my rooftop tent setup, nice conversation starter. Bathroom had currents for stall doors in the men's room, but that felt sufficient for the area. I'd come back here & request the same site, B-2 was awesome! So much room for activities!! Well spaced out from the neighbors & plenty of nature noise to help me conk out for the night. It'll be 5 stars if they get that sulfur stink out of the hot water at the restroom in the back of the campground. Only showers are up by the front of the campground, but it could be worse for only $21.40!! read more

We stayed here during fall break. It's a good little campground on the river. They have a small shop for if you forgot something. Sites are pretty close to you neighbors. They have a playground and laundry area. If you're here I would recommend having a meal at big dogs bbq a few miles up the road. read more

I was here for just a short visit with a family member camping out but I was totally digging it. Not too far from the city, this is right on the river with lots of camp lots. There was a tiny shop on site and a playground. The place was pretty full but the cars drove slowly thru so it felt safe enough for kids. Overall I like it here and would definitely come back if I ever have a desire to camp. Which I probably won't but never know! read more

This campground is one of our favorites! Many of the sites are right along the White River. They are paved, clean and spacious sites. Fishing pond, playground, game room, laundry, and more. Very affordable! Must book ahead as they do sell out most weekends. read more

WE LOVE THIS CAMPGROUND! This is by far the best campground that we have gone to. the staff is so nice and each time we go we have a great time. We only live a few miles away and that makes it even better. Our greatest wish would be to be able to park our camper and make this our permanent home away from home. read more

How do you not return deposit money when the whole country is on lock down, not my decision not to come? I don't need/want future credit, don't plan on coming especially the way this was handled. You need to return your deposits, it's wrong. read more

This is a great campground for the price. For about $22 I got a large site with full hookups along a river. The restrooms are clean and the showers have hot water and good pressure. There's a boat launch at the very end of the campground that is a great place for kids and dogs to frolic in the river. The playground is modern and fun. There are only 2 issues: 1) The showers don't have a good place to put your clothes, except on a bench outside the shower. And, from the area between the shower and the bench, you can look straight outside through the door. 2) They take the posted 5 MPH speed limit very seriously. Don't go tooling through here at 20 MPH, or you'll have a lovely conversation with the dude on the golf cart. It's not fun. read more

We have gone here for years but those days are done. I recently got sick with covid when we had four nights paid for. My husband called to cancel out of respect for the campground. Not only did they not refund us any money back, BUT they rented it out again and made money off of our misfortune (illness). So if you have a spot rented and need to cancel...don't. They will make money off of you and not think a thing about it. So sad... read more

We love camping here. We live about 10 minutes from here so this is a great getaway but still close enough when we have kids activities throughout the weekend. Sites are large and on concrete pads with shaded trees. We typically don't use the public bathrooms but the ones up front are nice. Ditto the comments about needing more space if showering though, not much privacy. read more

Camped here just for the night after picking up our new camper in Ohio. All of the locals love this place, great pricing and very nice campground. The bathrooms weren't the best and the mosquitoes were pretty bad considering it was October. Other than that, great campground, heard there is a waiting list for longer stays! read more

I've stayed here twice now, once in the pouring rain and once with beautiful weather. We stayed on a full hookup site the first time and it was completely flooded and would highly recommend not doing that again. The second time, we were back in the regular sites and they are poorly designed to say the least when it comes to hooking up electric/water. We pulled in on our cement pad, which was a bonus, and completely unhooked and went to plug in and realized our electric cord was not long enough to reach. They are not located at the back of the pads, they are in the middle. So, rookie mistake? I don't know, but we had to hook up and move over so we could connect. Our neighbors had to pull through their site so they could hook up. I guess if you know about it, then it's not a problem. The bathrooms at the back of the campground are not the most up to date if you need to use them. But up front, they are a bit nicer. You get to pick your own wood for a set price and the playground area they have for the kids seemed quite nice. They were working on a bridge that was not quite done when we were there, it will be very cool once it's open. read more

I live in Carmel and this place is only about 30 minutes from my house. It's perfect for a one night getaway from the noise. We arrived at about 7:30pm and pushed the call button on the gate, the campground supervisor was super friendly and just had us come to her campsite to sign us in. The campsites aren't very private cause it's pretty much a 1-2 mile long stretch of a bunch of little sites. We stayed on a primitive site and the walk to the bathroom was not too far. Overall a good experience! We will be back. read more

Family Friendly! Nice campground on the river. Sites are a bit close but have level concrete pads. Some of the sites back up to the river and you can fish right from the site. A few of the sites in the very back are really tight. We have stayed here multiple times. Nice place for the family to unwind and relax. By 9:30 it is as quiet as can be. read more

This is a good campground for the price ($150.00 per week). Our full hook up site (#32) backed up to the river. It was a concrete pad with a patio. Had to make reservations about 8 months early to get the site we wanted. We camped in a 32 ft. 5th wheel and there was room for our truck also, even though we used the grassy area across the road to park in. Just make sure you take a LARGE FAN or a screen room, because the hovering flies were ridiculous ( we camped in August). Please note that the road from Highway 31 to the campground is narrow and the campground sign is low and a little hard to spot. Most of the campers are there on the weekends. No seasonals allowed. The campground was well maintained but while we were there a large pedestrian bridge was being built over the river so there was a lot of noise and mud in the roads. read more
