Front row center to see Jersey Boys
Mary T.

We came out to see Jersey Boys and it was fantastic. We got middle front row seats and it was worth it. The music was great and the man (Ben) that played Frankie Valli has a tremendous voice!!!! A million stars for Frankie and the Four Seasons!!!! We bought some things from the concession stand. They had water, wine and beer. They also had chips and candy. I was really disappointed with the offerings in the concession. Nothing healthy to eat. The stage is small but still a great time. I gave it five stars because we had a great time but concessions...get your game on with some better snacks...we're adults. Chips and candy....seriously.

Wonderful reasonable and convenient live theater in Westchester. Seats are very comfortable, stadium style affords good views from everywhere. Parking Civic not be easier - enter on Martine avenue. 5th floor is theater access, pay on your way into the mall. Every show has been top quality.

Without a doubt, one of the most dramatic and best plays I have ever seen. The theater is phenomenal with seats that can see every part of the show without any issues. The staff is great. The price of the ticket is well worth the show. You cannot get this kind of production for the price anywhere else. Forget Broadway and remember, White Plains performing arts center.

Is this the best White Plains has to offer for performances? White Plains Performing Arts Center is located on the 3rd floor at the City Center and adjacent to the City Center 15: Cinema de Lux. WPPAC is a small venue and seems like it draws a decent production lineup to suit almost every taste. Lobby area holds a large amount of people. Small concession stand with candy, beer or Wine is available. WPPAC is home to a good-sized main stage and a very good sound system. Liked the theater style design with roomy chairs. Sat in row 10 and had exceptional sight-lines without craning our necks to see the show. And the comedians we saw, were hilarious the night we were there! But this is where I draw the line man, the lobby area is just plain unattractive. So much so- I kind of felt the....heebie-jeevies and couldn't wait to get home later that night. It's obvious the area gets tons of foot traffic, but damn...carpet was filthy, walls were also dirty. On top of that, chipped walls are noticeable. How about a fresh coat of paint? New carpet at that? How about remodeling? This is Downtown White Plains for crying out loud- home to exclusive high rise homes after all. Definitely not a return for me!

Absolutely LOVE this place but only receiving 4-stars for the following reasons:…read more First, If you sit back near the SRO (bar area), ALL you hear is people talking and the clinking of glass. Horribly distracting. The WORST place to stand or sit near if you're in the back of the Orchestra (latter rows)! Two, if you sit along the left wall (Orchestra), there is an alcove of sorts closer to the front of the stage. There is a TV in there (WHY, I don't know!), that is left on during performances. If you're in seats along the wall, you 'will' be distracted from the glare of the television light (as I recently was back in Row N!). Lastly, lobby bar prices are INSANE: $38 for a single serving CAN of wine and a single serve bottle of Prosecco. We had just come from a very nice restaurant and paid well less than that for quality!

I fell in love with the historic Capital Theatre the minute I walked in. Just a spectacular old building. While the show we saw, I won't say who, wasn't the greatest concert in the world the sound production and sight lines made for a really pleasant concert experience. Oh, and I should mention that the parking was a piece of cake. The reason this venue only gets three stars is simple: the bartenders were massively over serving. This was by far the drunkest crowd of concert-goers I've ever been in. It was literally unsafe. The venue gets props for having gender neutral bathrooms...they just don't have enough of them. The lines were nuts and for this show there were booze-fueled fights happening while you were waiting to take a leak. All in all, not a great vibe.

With a spacious lobby area which includes a cafe one can relax prior to the show. As with any venue ones enjoyment primarily depends on performance. While we were disappointed with the "Monterey Jazz Festival" on Saturday evening we couldn't help but wonder why more "Pop" and "Jazz" concerts aren't scheduled here. Easy driving (in and out) access into the very spacious - and free - parking lot only adds to the comfort as does nearby restaurants for early / late dining.
