Had to write a review from someone who has been at this course 100's of times over the years. This is a great course kept in good shape. The staff could not be friendlier. The new restaurant "Taverna on the Green" is fantastic. The food is really good. Best Gyro you will find. By the way, I and the person I golf with have eaten at this restaurant dozens of times since they have opened this summer, 2025, happy with every meal. Also, lead a motorcycle club (about 20 people) to the restaurant and we had a great time and everybody was very happy with their meals. 11/25

Yes it is your basic rural golf course with sand greens and some ragged places on site. It is also priced right and has several levels of play. The front nine is just right for the beginning to intermediate player. The front nine does reward good play but does not inflict pain upon mishits. The second, third and eighth hole encourages target golf and is a prelude to the back nine where the good to experienced player is challenged by target golf at its best with the fourteenth through seventeenth having bite if you do not place your shot in the right spot at the right distance. My understanding is that this course is owned by the Tennessee park system. They will never be able to put in the money it will take to compete with the other courses in the area. They should put it up for sale and let the new owners put a few million back into the course. I would have no problem paying $80 to $100 for the experioence.
