There are hotels in Dixon but I love staying here so it is worth the 20 minute drive to Dixon. I love the balcony rooms, it is peaceful to sit out and watch the river. The first morning I was here this week I counted over a dozen white swans in the river. I like to work with my laptop and bring my meals to the balcony. The balconies are furnished with chairs and a table. Breakfast is very good and the foods are kept hot and fresh. The area is clean and well organized. Employees are extremely friendly and helpful. Always an enjoyable stay.

This one was surprisingly and shockingly clean so that's the reason for the four stars. Also for a weekend it was relatively quiet and peaceful. Check in with simple and easy. The bathroom was clean the towels were good. I would stay there again if I had to be in doctors in that area again.

The breakfast buffet is decent, kids enjoy it, and that saves money for mom & dad - so that's a massive win. Beds were comfortable, pillows, and linens were good. Easy check-in, we use the app to request more blankets and they were brought up promptly and checked out through the app was great. Beautiful area right across from a large park with a good playground for kids and a walking path by a pond! They have pet stations around the hotel property. Breakfast was delicious, they had to make your own breakfast sandwich, stuff like biscuits, sausage, turkey sausage, egg patties, cheese, bagels, pastries, egg bites, oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, waffle maker, juices...etc.Coffee was decent. Kids loved the pool. It's small but works for a quick stay. We didn't use the gym but looked in and it has really decent equipment and looks super clean.

There are only ten rooms per floor so we thought it would be a quiet place. That evening, however, a large group of adults and children took over multiple rooms across the hall from us. From around 6:30 until around 11 there was constant conversations and children screaming while running from room to room and slamming doors. Thankfully it stopped around 11 pm and we were able to get to sleep. The peace was short lived, as they wound up again just after one am. The next morning, as we were leaving for the day, we stopped at the desk and asked for our room to be refreshed. The clerk said she would have it done. On our return to our room we found it in the same condition as when we left. I went down to the desk and asked when the housekeeper would be available and was told that they were gone for the day. I told her that we had requested that it be refreshed. She told me that if it hadn't been done it was probably because I had left the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. (It really bothers me when a staff member automatically blames me without any information.). She said that she would talk to the housekeeper and make sure it was done tomorrow. I told her that we were checking out in the morning and she merely shrugged. I asked for towels and went back upstairs. The two stars are for our initial impressions, though that's being generous.
