I originally went to her with very sore veins, stiffness and pain in my right foot and leg. With her therapy of acupuncture and cupping the relief is pretty incredible. Beforehand, after 10 doctors blowing me off as if I was demented, I found out I had venous insufficiency which is basically varicose veins. This was a surprise for me as I did not have purple veins bulging from my legs. I underwent a series of having my veins zapped. My health improved greatly, but there was still nagging pain left in my legs and feet. With Karen's expertise and guidance, over the past 5 months, I have improved that I used to think was wishful thinking. The soreness is almost gone and pain is subsiding. First Dr. Kurt gave me acupuncture a couple times. Then he recommended dry needling. Dr. Kurt fully informed me of what to expect with the dry needling (I'd feel the needle but would not be painful, the needle would cause the muscle to spasm and then relax). After going a few months, once per week for dry needling my issue significantly decreased. Not only is Dr. Kurt very professional and knowledgeable, but he also treated me with extreme respect. He knew I was nervous, and he spent whatever time was needed to answer my many questions. Also, Dr. Kurt was different than the neurologist and orthopedic doctors I've seen. Dr. Kurt actually wanted to help me get to the root cause of my issue. He asked me questions that no other doctor asked, such as how my stress level and stress triggers are. Dr. Kurt offered suggestions on how I could seek out and research the affects that stress has on the nerve and muscle systems. I am extremely glad that I went to Dr. Kurt for chiropractic treatments. Not only did he provide excellent treatment, but he guided me to information that helped me learn how to improve my health condition. He has treated me for many issues but the most memorable and out of the ordinary was when he cured my vertigo in one visit. My internist recommended physical therapy and said it might take about 5 weeks. I don't have that kind of time so I told her I was going to call my chiropractor when I got to my car (my husband was driving). I did and he told me to come in that afternoon. It only took one time and I walked out on my own 98% cured. By the time I got home, I was totally cured with no reoccurance. He is amazing and I will testify to that.
