I've being swimming twice a week and recently started going to the office for light cardio and I need to get serious about and lose some weight because I do have a problem there, but my back and leg pain makes it difficult. Randy and Liz are very helpful, tho. They don't push you too hard to do things that your body might not be able to take right away, because the clients here are all recovering from injuries of some sort, so we have to take it easy. I'm also receiving acupuncture now, or dry needling, I guess it's called and after my first week I have to say I love it. Although it didn't repair the partial tears in my right rotator cuff and bicep, PT did help strengthen the surrounding muscles and tendons enough so I'm back to playing golf (still badly but at least I'm out there!) - I definitely need to do my rehab exercises at home so I continue to get stronger and the healing continues. I needed therapy from tibial plateau fracture and developed complex regional pain syndrome in my right foot from the fracture. My surgeon didn't understand the problem and couldn't help me. Thanks to Jared, he had knowledge and helped me to understand and taught me how to deal with it. Jeff was also a great help during my recovery. The whole staff, from the girl's at the front desk, to the girl's that administer the tens unit. Everyone there has knowledge and spends quality time with you. honestly, i'll probably never be back to this hospital to deal with the staff in the emergency room…read moreor the day nurse i encountered on second floor again. i've experienced what i believe to be passive racism from techs, nurses and doctors. i'm not the person to leave reviews and i try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt however, after three years of coming to this hospital something has to give. due to the hospital staff disrespect and neglect of my care, i have left this place feeling like an angry black woman for wanting answers instead of a cured or to be cured patient. no matter the issue i walk into the ER with, i'm always told it's "normal". well how do you know if i've never gotten a palpation test and half of the time i didn't even see the ER nurse or doctors? the nurse my family member had brushed me off from the beginning so much to the point i'm writing this review. i felt uncomfortable from the moment she saw me and as if asking questions about my family members health was a burden. in this case i should've been told what to look out for in the coming week during discharge and instead i had to ask as she was walking out and she got a snappy tone, a goose neck and a nasty look. but if you just chew gum and ignore your patients questions and concerns, i will become assertive in getting answers. i suggest a bedside manner course or clearing house for your growing/changing population because it's kind of ridiculous. it's 2026, i shouldn't feel like i have to make myself small so that you're comfortable. actually, i've never been given the chance to be myself because i'm 100% labeled as soon as i walk in. in regards to the summit healthcare professionalism, special thank you to Dr Richardson DO and his MAs, Dr Bowen and HUC Charmaine of second floor for all treating me with dignity.
