The school is the worst school passable. the principal doesn't take anything serious and when you ask the staff for anything they just get mad like this is what you signed up for at least do your job right They get into fights every single day. I'm not talking once or twice a day it's like every day like every every day I came up there because my daughter was getting picked on. Terrible school. The staff there honestly sucks and got mad at me when I asked a question, mind you, THEY decide to work there or not, if you work there then don't be a jerk about it. The teachers there don't teach anything, everything students "learn" from are the learning platforms like IReady and IXL. IReady does not teach anything. The school does not do anything about children who get bullied. I used to attend this school before (about 4-5 years ago), and I remember fights occurring there every day (trust me it was more than one fight a day). The staff were not able to break apart anything, and threats get made often towards the school that there will be a shooting. My brother who now attends the school gets picked on everyday. Students push him and hit him, and they even steal his things to break them. I've went with my mom to the school multiple times to report these issues and nothing is ever done. The staff don't believe or take the situation seriously at all. Overall the worst school to ever exist! read more

The attendance office is very unprofessional! If you don't like your job, find a new one.

The administrators don't care about the students safety, it's not a priority. They don't return phone calls to parents, they don't follow up on disciplinary actions and it's just disappointing they focus more on attendance and the scroll phone policy than safety. The drill team was cool very fun and recommend for mainly that experience, and most of the people in the office are very nice (mainly the guy in the attendance office Mr.P) And the dual lang program is highly recommended as they may be eligible to take spanish Ap classes and an Ap exam. The teachers are extremely nice in the program and fun. My main issue was 2 teachers who where very inappropriate with students either on purpose or on accident. One (by first name bases) Mr. R touched a kid slightly inappropriately and the other (also by first name bases) Mr.T has been reported for being weird with younger girls. Overall the experience was nice but the situation with mr.B was really out of pocket he was just trying to do a concert, something nice for students. A little too strict on rules honestly would tone it down a bit (crocs aren't much of an issue, Would suggest to lighten up on that rule). Getting rid of lockers would give so much needed space. Would recommend kids in the same Pe periods to be more separate during changing. And finally Rest in peace Mr. Williams. read more

It was clean, it just needs a facelift, now how does the money from the lotto get distributed to schools again? This is for the noise level this school produces. I live across the street. I understand when the announcements are made or if they are doing PE testing (Tho I can hear it all very clearly even with all the windows closed. ) But is the music necessary? We didn't need to regularly hear music over the loudspeakers when I was in school. And they just played Anaconda by Nicki Minaj, which has very sexual and actually disgusting lyrics, not appropriate for jr high kids. I know they hear all this stuff all the time but the school should at least take some responsibility to instill a little decency and morality. I'm sure there r parents who struggle teaching those things to their children nowadays and they are apparently getting no help from this school based on what I'm hearing. read more

So far so good. My experience is limited to a tour as I have an upcoming 6th grader. From what I experienced on yesterday I am definitely thinking about sending my daughter here for the 2019-2020 school year. Mrs. Kirk the Magnet Coordinator was awesome, very professional and honest in answering all of the questions I had. Keep in mind this is a Magnet review as I think all of the other review were for the "regular school" and not the magnet program. There is a difference. I will report back if I decide to send my daughter here, but as of now I would at least recommend a tour to decide for yourself. read more

I had went here for 6-8. I just want to say that It is great and really fun. You get to meet a lot of people and make a lot of new friends. I could go on and on about how great rigs school is but to short it down when schools open back up you should out your kids in this school they are going to have a really good time. read more

I love Stephen White Middle School, and I don't have a child enrolled there! I am a retired teacher/counselor/magnet coordinator, and I sub there inside and outside of the classroom. The school is always clean, and the students are extremely polite. The Prinicpal is aware of what is going on at the school on a daily basis, and has brought numerous outside resources and programs to the school site. There is a fairly new STEAM Magnet on the campus, and there is a waiting list for entrance. The test scores are up to par, each department has taken the responsibility for the students' success, there is an awesome parent center, and there are various extracurricular activities for the students to participate in during and after the school day. Horrific..... staff is rude and no one wants to help. They never open the gates on time for the kids to leave as well as permanently closing gates needed to ease traffic, and now won't let parents park in the parking lot because people are stealing car batteries in Carson.???????? So instead of having some of the overpaid staff there watch the lot they shut it down completely. The school has created chaos on 220th and made it unsafe for kids to exit or cross the street. Upset parents and neighbors as well as cars are now illegally parking everywhere and causing grid lock. Good job staff!! read more

I attended this school and graduated in the class of 2015. My middle school experience was not to bad. 8th grade was my best year because I joined a program called AVID which I really recommend. This program is very beneficial if run the proper way. Overall this school is not perfect and will never be, its up to the kid if they are willing to try. The teachers can't force students to pass the class but they sure could help. Great teachers and staff. read more

This school is horrible.. I was just visiting this past week trying to get more information on there new magnet program. Magnet coordinator had no clue I was there for a tour to begin with even though I had an appointment he sent me off to wait in the main office since he was dealing with another parent which is fine I understand. but while I waited in the main office I clearly saw why my kid should not attend this school at all. First a little girl was in the nurses office because she had pee on her pants because someone had bullied her. Second another little boy comes in saying he cant take it anymore he seemed really frustrated lady at front desk called on the walkie talkie for backup.. Backup these are kids (not sure why he could not take it but I am assuming he was being bullied as well). in all I waited in the main office maybe 30 minutes magnet coordinator never came to give me the tour and after seeing all this I just grabbed my purse and headed out. I feel bad and sad that we as parents have to hunt down for a good school to send our kids too and out here in the west side it is slim pickings. read more
