The double room is nice, has fresh towels and complimentary toiletries in the en suite. TV with good signal and a set of drawers. The decor is a little more updated than the rest of the hotel. The bed is comfortable and everywhere is clean. Brilliant! The single room - Doesn't have an en suite, it just has a sink. Which I found rather odd! instead there is a shared bathroom down the hall which is small and doesn't really have a light (it does but it's more like a night light). The wallpaper was hanging off above the bed, and the carpet needed vacuuming. There was a lot of hair on the floor, my toes got tangled in it... I thought chewbacca was the last customer! Haha but other than that, the room was fine. The rooms themselves are quite small, but it's enough if all you are doing is sleeping there and going out for the day. Both rooms supply you with enough tea/coffee/hot choc to last at least 2 nights! And refill them each day even if you did use it all! But where this hotel shines, is it's breakfast!! Each morning, come downstairs, sit at the table that is designated to your room and breakfast is included in the price! There's a lot to choose from, I had cereal, 4 slices of white toast (with selection of condiments), Apple juice, pot of tea (enough for 3 cups) and a full English... Yes I know... That's a big breakfast! I'm not ashamed! The full English is amazing! Best I've had! The staff are really nice and friendly, approachable with any questions you may have. I would happily stay here again, but there is a big difference in quality between single rooms and double rooms. So I'd stay in the double! especially when there isn't much of a price difference.

The location is still good but the hotel is now no longer cyclist friendly and the person reception is anything but helpful or friendly. What a shame, this could be such a good little hotel. Be warned if you are staying here with a bike it has to now be kept outside. Premier Inn should know better.

The service is in no way snobby or snooty but this is a double rosette restaurant so its top quality. The menu is set at around £40 for three courses including coffee and petit fours which isn't too much of a shock but when you add on wine and service its not cheap. Try the Terrine of Sussex Pheasant to start and if you love your game, the game pie here is exquisite.

When the waiter came back after a 11 minute wait for a couple of drinks he didn't bring a straw. I had to remind him to bring a straw and he took longer than expected to deliver the straw. For food I ordered a burger with no vegetables. Guess what, yes that's right, it came with vegetables. I then asked to take the vegetables out, they did. When it came back it still was loaded with vegetables inside the bread. I just ate the chips in my meal, the chips were good, the only good bit. Overall one word to describe my experience and this restaurant was torture.

There is a convenient stairway that safely lets you go down a couple flights and to do the beaches where you get the very best views of the English White Cliffs...and its glorious! Can't be described in words...epic, beautiful, magnificent, divine, and breath taking....though my wife was very disinterested and bored and went to the cafe after a few minutes. The Cafe is a decent spot for coffee and a Cornish Pastry. Wear good walking shoes, ie cross trainers or hiking boots. Also, this place is free! Well, it does costs to park, but we didn't bother and never got ticketed during our hour visit.
