We are new to the area and I finally had a chance to stop in to White Lake Pizza and I'm glad I did. We ordered a large extra cheese pizza to take home with us and we enjoyed it very much! Good amount of cheese (one of is a cheese head) and the sauce and crust were great. Employees were super friendly. We look forward to trying their subs and salads soon. We're up in New Hampshire from Connecticut and we're looking for something for dinner. We saw this restaurant and were unsure if it was going to be any good... Boy were we ever wrong! We ordered a veggie pizza and it was chock full of fresh, and I mean, fresh, veggies on top. The crust was wonderful... So much better than the pizza place that we get pizza from at home. We have read that the restaurant was doing terrible about a year ago and that the previous owners stepped back in to make it better. Not sure how true that is, but if it is, they are doing a fabulous job. Please stop by, order some pizza, and give them your full support. They deserve every bit of it. read more

At this writing, I'm entirely disappointed that a good pizza cannot be found in Ossipee. White Lake Pizza is simply not good. It has varied over the 20 years that my wife and I have lived here, from pretty good to pretty bad, as our recent experience has shown. Recent pizzas have been quite salty. They are very overcooked. Instead of a pliable slice that folds in the hand, the slices are stiff as a cedar shingle, and the sauce is darkened and dried. Praying for good pizza in Ossipee! read more

Just want to drop a quick review of this unassuming little pizza shop in Madison. Now, coming from CT, home of the New Haven pizza capitol, it's hard to rate pizza places because there is a rather high threshold to meet. That being said, for a pizza take-out place, White Lake did alright. We did take out, so I cannot comment on the place inside or out as my husband did pick up, so rating is on the food alone. Pizza was pretty good. Not greasy, cooked well, nice crust. We did plain cheese and veggie with pepperoni on top. The veggie pizza was chock full of vegetables and still the pizza wasn't a soggy mess. Pretty good bend, but you didn't need a knife and fork to eat it. Was it New Haven grade? No. But was it better than all the other pizzas in the area? Absolutely yes. It will be our go-to pizza place when we visit here. We also tried the chicken tenders and Buffalo chicken tenders. The Buffalo chicken tenders were probably the best I ever had. They were that good. So tender and juicy. The regular chicken tenders were on the dry side, but with some sauce were pretty good too. We didn't try any of the sandwiches based on previous reviews, but I would give it a shot next time we order from there. Hoping we have a similar positive experience next time! read more

Just no good. Been there twice. They can't make a sausage parm sub or a chicken parm sub. Not sure why, but trying to tell them over the phone what I'm ordering was weird both times. What do I want on my chicken parm sub? Um, I want chicken parm on it, like any other place. Maybe too loud and they can't hear over the noise? It's always busy because of the location, but that's because they're one of the few places in the area. Fries tasted like grease. It's a grease pit, I hate to say. Stopped in on 8/30/2022 to grab a couple pizzas and a salad to take back to the nearby KOA campground we were staying at. Service was great and staff were courteous. The pizzas were excellent and we are very picky about our pizza. Greek salad was fresh and had plenty of feta. If you're in the area I would highly recommend stopping in. read more

I stopped in here over this past summer. On my way back from Conway, I decided to stop for takeout at White Lake Pizza during a hot & muggy Saturday evening. The parking lot was almost full, which was a good sign. The place is very casual, which is an order at the counter place with plenty of self serve seating inside and three picnic tables outside in front. They offer Greek style pizza, subs, salads, burgers, pasta dinners, fried appetizers, Frito Lays chips, Coke products, and desserts (baklava, whoopie pie, fried cheesecake bites). Kids meals and combo meals are offered. Pizza slices offered 11AM-2PM. The prices here are pretty reasonable, individual items under $10. I ordered a Small Sausage Pizza, which took quite a while (35 minutes) to be ready since the place was really hopping. The pizza was pretty typical Greek style pizza, which can be found all over NH. The crust was firm on the outside and dry breadlike texture on the inside topped with sauce, cheese blend (browned), and thin sliced sausages on the greasy side. Sister and fiance ordered a large pepperoni pizza. They both raved about the crust and said it was fantastic. Only critique was that the pizza had just a tad too much sauce, but they were both very content. I am gluten free, and while they don't advertise it, they have gluten free pizza. My family has been loyal customers to White Lake since I was a child and I've always loved their food. Pizza is good, subs are usually awesome, and we love their Greek calzones. I almost never have a wait time that's longer than 25 minutes. The staff have always been friendly. Lately, however, I'm noticing there are more errors with our orders. You ever crave something so bad and can't get home fasts enough to eat it? That's how I feel about my steak & cheese subs with Mayo and extra pickles. Not once but twice in the past few weeks have I gone home to find a sub with no pickles at all, never mind extra, even after repeating my order. Also, on a few occasions I have seen staff who are near cooking/food prep areas without gloves on. I truly hope they're not preparing food without gloves on, especially in todays day and age. We just dined here tonight. We've driven by tons of times and truth be told, I initially called another place, and the owner was so completely rude that I said I'll patron another business. White Lake was the closest to our house. The staff was very nice and the food was very good. We'll definitely be ordering from White Lake Pizza again! Over the hill, through the woods to Attitash we go. But don't stop for pizza at White Lake on the next trip. We were in the mood for pizza and saw the BIG "White Lake Pizza" sign along with 2 police cars and 3-4 other cars. So we thought, heck good enough for the locals - good enough for us. WRONG!!! There must be something in the water in Ossipee, NH. Either that or the people have lost their taste buds. I can eat most any pizza and enjoy it. Heck I find Domino's to be gourmet compared to WLP. So what's wrong with the pizza? The SAUCE has a unique and interesting taste. I mean BAD interesting. You can't figure out if they intentionally used that sauce or perhaps it was the sauce to another dish. The cheese clumped and wasn't spread evenly, but even the cheese was odd. The dough was good but it's dough and I'm sure it's from Sysco or another large food distributor. I can't knock everything on the menu. The salads were good. They were large portions for $7. The tuna salad as in the salad was a large scoop of tuna, almost Costco size. I know, how can you mess up salad. It's lettuce, tomatos, other vegs, etc. Well, the dressing could be bad or the feta for the greek. But here I guess it excelled in comparison to the main entree, the PIZZA. So next time round, drive past White Lake Pizza and try the next family pizza joint into N Conway. read more

I can't say enough good about the food at this place! I do feel the boots are a little close for Covid times however it would be easy enough for them to make seating at every other booth and then I think it would be safer. My wife and I and two boys. We're on our way at to white lake, and thought we should get some sandwiches to take with us it was 10:30 am we order two ham and cheese cold with nothing on it, one time cold nothing on it, and last one Italian lettuce tomato pickles cold. At this point the place was cranking and only had two employees working taking phone orders and in person orders on a Saturday. Honestly this is not okay. After about 20 minutes my wife left and went to check on our boys waiting in the car, she came back in about 30 minutes later and I was still waiting unbelievable . We thought if we ordered cold sandwiches with nothing on them it would be really quick. After about 1hr and 15 minutes we got our sandwiches. All the sandwiches were okay but the tuna was absolutely ridiculous it was basically tuna out of the can and put on bread no mayonnaise whatsoever. And of course this was my sandwich after waiting so long I was beside myself. We then went On our way to white lake which was now closed. We then drove around for 2 hours to find a lake to go to. And drove by white lake pizza about 10 times I really wanted to go in and leave my sandwich on the counter and walk out. But my wife told me no too. Our total order was 40$ I would suggest if you do go this shop, you ask how long it will be and what's in the tuna. read more

The grilled chicken salad had a pathetic amount of chicken on it (2 small pieces, unseasoned), totally underwhelming and not worth the money. The steak, cheese and mushroom subs had no mushrooms in them. Ok, mayyybe a couple of teeny tiny pieces, but they were undetectable (and of course you pay more). I was told the wait was 45 minutes, got there then and was told "a few more minutes" so I went to the gas station, came back 10-15 minutes later and she was JUST putting the steaks on the grill so I had to wait longer. NOT ITALIAN.... as far as the crust it is made in house, more a bread than a crust.... the ration of cheddar to mozzarella could be unproved on.... making the pizza very greasy with lotttts of cheddar!... in a pinch we will order it for dinner as there is nothing else close to the house... thats what you get for living in the woods.... on the other hand their Eggplant subs are great as well as their anti-pasta and Greek salad.... Our choice of a large cheese pizza proved a winner with every bite. Each gooey, delectable mouthful was satisfying, the tomato sauce tangy with just the right proportion, and the crisp light crust proved a tasty complement for munching.
