FULL DISCLOSURE - I am born and raised close enough to Philly that anything in NH is not going to compare. So giving these guys 4 stars is being very generous. Food was hot and tasty - but again - we are not comparing this to Philly, that is totally unfair. With this area being so rural, it is a valid choice for take out, and it does look to be family owned and not a chain, Stay away from the cheese fries, they were not good at all. read more

We are new to the area and I finally had a chance to stop in to White Lake Pizza and I'm glad I did. We ordered a large extra cheese pizza to take home with us and we enjoyed it very much! Good amount of cheese (one of is a cheese head) and the sauce and crust were great. Employees were super friendly. We look forward to trying their subs and salads soon. You can also stay and eat here if needed with a decent dining area with booths and table's. Thanks, we are happy to find a decent pizza so close to home here. See you again soon, pizza was delish! read more

They have good subs and friendly staff. The sandwiches are not as tasty as Jersey Mikes, so I don't understand why more sub shops don't copy JM's oil and vinegar sauce. They should. read more

We're up in New Hampshire from Connecticut and we're looking for something for dinner. We saw this restaurant and were unsure if it was going to be any good... Boy were we ever wrong! We ordered a veggie pizza and it was chock full of fresh, and I mean, fresh, veggies on top. The crust was wonderful... So much better than the pizza place that we get pizza from at home. We have read that the restaurant was doing terrible about a year ago and that the previous owners stepped back in to make it better. Not sure how true that is, but if it is, they are doing a fabulous job. Please stop by, order some pizza, and give them your full support. They deserve every bit of it. read more

Stopped in on the way back to Connecticut and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a chef salad and eggplant parm. Both were amazing with fresh ingredients. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area ho wants great food at a great price. read more

Subs were terrible and we waited for a hour for a 20 minute order. We won't be eating there any time soon. And I'm a local!

Take out large order for a gathering. Had the spinach and onion small pizza. Toppings and sauce was good. Crust was good but rather thinner and not as doughy. Service-pick up. I wasn't the one who went so unsure of ambiance or service personnel service. Can't recall if one in the party didn't get their order, or one order mistaken. In all fairness, it was a large take-out order. read more

At this writing, I'm entirely disappointed that a good pizza cannot be found in Ossipee. White Lake Pizza is simply not good. It has varied over the 20 years that my wife and I have lived here, from pretty good to pretty bad, as our recent experience has shown. Recent pizzas have been quite salty. They are very overcooked. Instead of a pliable slice that folds in the hand, the slices are stiff as a cedar shingle, and the sauce is darkened and dried. Praying for good pizza in Ossipee! read more

Amazing every time! Vegetarian options available and great service by staff members! Boyfriend loves the bbq chicken pizza as well, a great place!! read more

Best grinders around the lake area! Never disappointed. They make them ole fashion way--great bread and lots of meat!

Ehhh the pizza is not the best. Good service, fast if in a bind for last minute dinner.

Just want to drop a quick review of this unassuming little pizza shop in Madison. Now, coming from CT, home of the New Haven pizza capitol, it's hard to rate pizza places because there is a rather high threshold to meet. That being said, for a pizza take-out place, White Lake did alright. We did take out, so I cannot comment on the place inside or out as my husband did pick up, so rating is on the food alone. Pizza was pretty good. Not greasy, cooked well, nice crust. We did plain cheese and veggie with pepperoni on top. The veggie pizza was chock full of vegetables and still the pizza wasn't a soggy mess. Pretty good bend, but you didn't need a knife and fork to eat it. Was it New Haven grade? No. But was it better than all the other pizzas in the area? Absolutely yes. It will be our go-to pizza place when we visit here. We also tried the chicken tenders and Buffalo chicken tenders. The Buffalo chicken tenders were probably the best I ever had. They were that good. So tender and juicy. The regular chicken tenders were on the dry side, but with some sauce were pretty good too. We didn't try any of the sandwiches based on previous reviews, but I would give it a shot next time we order from there. Hoping we have a similar positive experience next time! read more

We waited over 40 minutes for our single pizza - it cost 25$ for a pizza that looks like it came from the frozen section of Market Basket! Do yourselves a favor and sell your business to the investors from the Middle East while you can. Full grease and tastes like cardboard . read more

Just no good. Been there twice. They can't make a sausage parm sub or a chicken parm sub. Not sure why, but trying to tell them over the phone what I'm ordering was weird both times. What do I want on my chicken parm sub? Um, I want chicken parm on it, like any other place. Maybe too loud and they can't hear over the noise? It's always busy because of the location, but that's because they're one of the few places in the area. Fries tasted like grease. It's a grease pit, I hate to say. Poor quality control and a bit chaotic. And yeah, an extra 3% charge for credit cards is lame. read more

Stopped in on 8/30/2022 to grab a couple pizzas and a salad to take back to the nearby KOA campground we were staying at. Service was great and staff were courteous. The pizzas were excellent and we are very picky about our pizza. Greek salad was fresh and had plenty of feta. If you're in the area I would highly recommend stopping in. read more

Great locally owned establishment. I would give some specific recommendations, but really everything is great. You can't go wrong. We try to patronize them Sunday through Wednesday as they already get quite busy on weekends. read more

White Lake Pizza - Small calzone - Pizza Near Me - West Ossipee, New Hampshire

I stopped in here over this past summer. On my way back from Conway, I decided to stop for takeout at White Lake Pizza during a hot & muggy Saturday evening. The parking lot was almost full, which was a good sign. The place is very casual, which is an order at the counter place with plenty of self serve seating inside and three picnic tables outside in front. They offer Greek style pizza, subs, salads, burgers, pasta dinners, fried appetizers, Frito Lays chips, Coke products, and desserts (baklava, whoopie pie, fried cheesecake bites). Kids meals and combo meals are offered. Pizza slices offered 11AM-2PM. The prices here are pretty reasonable, individual items under $10. I ordered a Small Sausage Pizza, which took quite a while (35 minutes) to be ready since the place was really hopping. The pizza was pretty typical Greek style pizza, which can be found all over NH. The crust was firm on the outside and dry breadlike texture on the inside topped with sauce, cheese blend (browned), and thin sliced sausages on the greasy side. The pizza was pretty decent and the service was not super fast on a busy night. read more

The food wasn't terrible. But it could of been better. The poppers were good. But the marinara to dip them in was very watery. The pizza was ok. I got pepperoni and green pepper. I think there was one pepperoni every two slices. But I always give places a second chance. Will be back later on. read more

We tried this place for a pizza and a salad and were pleasantly surprised. The food was good. Reasonable priced also.

Sister and fiance ordered a large pepperoni pizza. They both raved about the crust and said it was fantastic. Only critique was that the pizza had just a tad too much sauce, but they were both very content. I am gluten free, and while they don't advertise it, they have gluten free pizza. It was cooked to perfection. The crust was crispy, but not burnt, and the toppings (meat lovers pizza) were a great compliment to the pizza. Would definitely recommend and go back again. read more

Their pizza is delicious!! The crust is great too. We're from New Jersey, we've had our fair share of New York pizza, and this pizza place is at the top. Recommend: 1) Green peppers, pepperoni, and extra cheese pizza 2) Buffalo chicken pizza (grilled) They have the option of doing breaded or grilled. We like the grilled. Might save a few if you pay with cash. read more

We just dined here tonight. We've driven by tons of times and truth be told, I initially called another place, and the owner was so completely rude that I said I'll patron another business. White Lake was the closest to our house. The staff was very nice and the food was very good. We'll definitely be ordering from White Lake Pizza again! I almost called the a-hole back from the first place I called to thank him for being rude because we now have our new go to place for pizza, subs, etc. Thank you White Lake Pizza for a delish dinner. My 10 yo said the chicken fingers were the best he's ever had; and if you know 10 year olds, they've had their share of chicken fingers. read more

My family has been loyal customers to White Lake since I was a child and I've always loved their food. Pizza is good, subs are usually awesome, and we love their Greek calzones. I almost never have a wait time that's longer than 25 minutes. The staff have always been friendly. Lately, however, I'm noticing there are more errors with our orders. You ever crave something so bad and can't get home fasts enough to eat it? That's how I feel about my steak & cheese subs with Mayo and extra pickles. Not once but twice in the past few weeks have I gone home to find a sub with no pickles at all, never mind extra, even after repeating my order. Also, on a few occasions I have seen staff who are near cooking/food prep areas without gloves on. I truly hope they're not preparing food without gloves on, especially in todays day and age. I genuinely hope staff become more vigilant to the details of peoples' orders as well as food prep safety. read more

Over the hill, through the woods to Attitash we go. But don't stop for pizza at White Lake on the next trip. We were in the mood for pizza and saw the BIG "White Lake Pizza" sign along with 2 police cars and 3-4 other cars. So we thought, heck good enough for the locals - good enough for us. WRONG!!! There must be something in the water in Ossipee, NH. Either that or the people have lost their taste buds. I can eat most any pizza and enjoy it. Heck I find Domino's to be gourmet compared to WLP. So what's wrong with the pizza? The SAUCE has a unique and interesting taste. I mean BAD interesting. You can't figure out if they intentionally used that sauce or perhaps it was the sauce to another dish. The cheese clumped and wasn't spread evenly, but even the cheese was odd. The dough was good but it's dough and I'm sure it's from Sysco or another large food distributor. I can't knock everything on the menu. The salads were good. They were large portions for $7. The tuna salad as in the salad was a large scoop of tuna, almost Costco size. I know, how can you mess up salad. It's lettuce, tomatos, other vegs, etc. Well, the dressing could be bad or the feta for the greek. But here I guess it excelled in comparison to the main entree, the PIZZA. So next time round, drive past White Lake Pizza and try the next family pizza joint into N Conway. read more

I can't say enough good about the food at this place! I do feel the boots are a little close for Covid times however it would be easy enough for them to make seating at every other booth and then I think it would be safer. Their food is just amazing I especially like the chicken broccoli Alfredo! It's by far my favorite! Oh and there's spaghetti and meatballs are really really good as well! Pizzas are great it's just a nice change to support a small local business that has such great food. Kim Keyes read more

Want to experience rude service, incompetent cashiers and übergreasy, substandard food? Not being belittled to your satisfaction? Maybe you've decided that you haven't seen your cardiologist in awhile. Or perhaps you simply have a hankering for a little teenage condescension. If any of these are true, then make White Lake Pizza your next stop. It's a familiar scene. Know-it-all-high-schoolers have been ruining the takeout experiences of paying customers long before the days of McDonald's. But let's keep in mind that bitchy service is almost more understandable at slave-driver multimillion dollar conglomerate chains with no-tipping policies than a Mom-and-Pop shop. And what would otherwise be an anomalous poor experience seems to have become the norm here. I have a large family that has frequented White Lake in the past. Not a single family member has had a positive experience with staff. So because very greasy, unremarkable food can be found anywhere, do yourself a favor and find it elsewhere. read more

Extremely.....average. Nothing out of the ordinary here folks. It's a clean and convenient establishment, and all the food seems to be decent. My girlfriend and I got some subs and fries and they were OK. Pizza looked average, so we decided to skip that. If you are looking for cheap food in the Ossipee area, you don't have too many choices. It's pretty much this, Subway or McDonalds....and this place wins. read more

My wife and I and two boys. We're on our way at to white lake, and thought we should get some sandwiches to take with us it was 10:30 am we order two ham and cheese cold with nothing on it, one time cold nothing on it, and last one Italian lettuce tomato pickles cold. At this point the place was cranking and only had two employees working taking phone orders and in person orders on a Saturday. Honestly this is not okay. After about 20 minutes my wife left and went to check on our boys waiting in the car, she came back in about 30 minutes later and I was still waiting unbelievable . We thought if we ordered cold sandwiches with nothing on them it would be really quick. After about 1hr and 15 minutes we got our sandwiches. All the sandwiches were okay but the tuna was absolutely ridiculous it was basically tuna out of the can and put on bread no mayonnaise whatsoever. And of course this was my sandwich after waiting so long I was beside myself. We then went On our way to white lake which was now closed. We then drove around for 2 hours to find a lake to go to. And drove by white lake pizza about 10 times I really wanted to go in and leave my sandwich on the counter and walk out. But my wife told me no too. Our total order was 40$ I would suggest if you do go this shop, you ask how long it will be and what's in the tuna. read more

Been eating here on and off for almost 10 years.... this is a greek pizza joint! NOT ITALIAN.... as far as the crust it is made in house, more a bread than a crust.... the ration of cheddar to mozzarella could be unproved on.... making the pizza very greasy with lotttts of cheddar!... in a pinch we will order it for dinner as there is nothing else close to the house... thats what you get for living in the woods.... on the other hand their Eggplant subs are great as well as their anti-pasta and Greek salad.... Other than this the only other pizza is the Pizza Barn and both time we went there the crust was still raw in the center.... read more

I ordered 3 subs, a salad and a side order of chicken tenders. The grilled chicken salad had a pathetic amount of chicken on it (2 small pieces, unseasoned), totally underwhelming and not worth the money. The steak, cheese and mushroom subs had no mushrooms in them. Ok, mayyybe a couple of teeny tiny pieces, but they were undetectable (and of course you pay more). I was told the wait was 45 minutes, got there then and was told "a few more minutes" so I went to the gas station, came back 10-15 minutes later and she was JUST putting the steaks on the grill so I had to wait longer. After all that, I was charged an extra 3% to pay with a credit card. Was hoping to find a go-to spot nearby where we stay over the summer. Very disappointed. read more

Cheese pizza pretty good. French fries were crispy and seasoned. Price was good for the portions. Staff was friendly and venue was clean.

Spoiled with good New Haven pizza and always looking for a decent pie. Don't trust reviews as often disappointed. It was getting late so we decided to try White Lake. It's clear we to home and we figured what the heck. Called in our order and asked for extra crisp crust. The crust was not crisp but Pie was delicious. Sauce was tasty, not acidic. Lots of toppings with fresh mushrooms. Will definitely return and will also try some other menu items. read more

We stumbled on this highway oasis for pizza lovers and those craving delicious, reasonable Italian standards. What a treat on a perfect, balmy fall afternoon! Our choice of a large cheese pizza proved a winner with every bite. Each gooey, delectable mouthful was satisfying, the tomato sauce tangy with just the right proportion, and the crisp light crust proved a tasty complement for munching. This stellar pie didn't leave a pungent aftertaste or heavy feeling like so many other lesser competitors. My companion who had pizza the night before was not enthusiastic when he heard my order but readily downed four slices in one sitting raving about the fine quality. We both mentioned our pleasure to the hostess and will make a beeline for your unassuming but exceptional roadside attraction. read more

The food is good enough, but the lack of following the guidelines for the state in regards to COVID was terrible. One of my sandwiches was made without gloves and no one in the place, staff or most patrons wore masks. It was disturbing and made me not want to return. read more

I'd give them zero stars if I could. Stopped here for lunch on the way home from North Conway with my friend. My friend ordered first and when it was my turn the phone rang so he took care of the phone first which I understood. Then after he was done with the phone call he took the next person inline completely skipping me. Now I was standing at the counter with money in my hand, so i'm not really sure how he didn't understand I was waiting to order but I get the feeling it was more about the color of my skin, then not seeing me. The sandwich my friend got was didn't have any taste and was freezer burnt. read more

We have only tried the pizza, it is one of the best we have had in this area. Fresh ingredients, and a nice crust.
