With "Animal Hospital" included in the business name, it's a fair assumption they would have a…read moreveterinarian either on the premises or on call during business hours. That is NOT the case here. They do not have a doctor there to service walk ins, even though the doors are open and it's clearly labeled an animal hospital. Strange, right? I was greeted by a very rude lady with dark curly hair at the desk. She told me to go somewhere else because she was the only staff there and just a tech and they just did shots. They don't have a doctor. I told her their online presence is very misleading. She said I should've called ahead. Tell me why I have to call ahead to verify an animal hospital has a doctor? That's like calling a human hospital to verify they have a doctor or if it's just receptionist running the place. Make it make some sort of sense. If this place is just a shots clinic, then the online presence and the name need to accurately reflect that. What is out there currently is considered false advertising. Please correct this so no one else will waste their time like I did.

My usual vet was out of town so I was frantically searching for someone who could help my horse. I was given a reference to Dr. Cooper by one of the vet offices I called. Dr. Cooper drove over an hour to our home/barn on an after hours emergency call. Timing was critical for the tissue to remain viable. With the nostril involved, it was a complicated repair that required more than just stitching the flapping piece back in place. Dr. Cooper tackled it like the pro he is. He took the time to figure it out and suture the trims and tucks together almost precisely as it was before the injury (1.5-2hr surgery). Only time will tell how it turns out given the nature of the injury and the potential for our horse to rip the stitches, but I am confident Dr. Cooper gave him the best possible care and chance at a full recovery. Dr. Cooper was a pleasure to deal with. I only wish he was located closer. I would encourage any horse owner that is in his area to call him for your equine veterinary needs.
