When he told me what he suggested, I said ok, BUT he said I could not be there when it is done. I was very upset, you can't go shopping for a new Vet when your told your companion needs to be euthanized. I had him cremated. Recently my 15 yr old Yorkie stopped eating on a Friday, took her to Dr and he said she had an infection. Gave her antibiotic, by Sunday night she passed in my arms. I'm trying to sway to the side she was old and it was her time. I will never know. I also had her cremated at Pet Cremation Services in Heber Springs/Little Rock.(they are great people to deal with)

Our vet from another practice told us he couldn't do anything for our 16-year-old dog and took him off all treatment and preventive care. He made us believe he would be dead in 2 months. Well, here it was two years later and our little Dubie was still living. He had a bad tooth, so we took him to see Dr. M at HAH who told us that old age is not a disease and she would treat him. It turned out that our little guy had a condition that we felt the treatment would be too hard on him and us. So, we opted to have him put down. Besides Dr. Hunter who is now retired, Dr. M. is the kindest and most patient vet we have ever met. If you have an older pet, get a second opinion from Hunter's Animal Hospital before making a final decision. We are truly glad that we did.

Do not trust Dr. Phillips or his team with your pets. My grandparents have unnecessarily lost two…read moreof their cats when they were under his "care". Yesterday, he told my grandmother that her cat was too difficult to deal with and prescribed him a sedative to make him easier to examine. She gave the cat the medicine as instructed, the vet gave him some routine shots and then she took him home. When she got home she said he was stumbling and then began to have trouble breathing. a couple hours later, her cat was dead from an overdose. My grandparents also said Dr. Phillips assistant was extremely rough and unfriendly in her treatment of their cat. Like i said, DO NOT TRUST THIS CLINIC WITH YOUR PETS.
