Like most Royal Mail branches, it's best to avoid this post office between the hours of 11.30 and 1, as the lunch rush means the line nearly extends out the door. Just visit around 10 am or 3 pm and you'll often find nobody there. Another reason to stop by: the charming and sweet retro greeting card selection. Customers could surf the internet for £1 per 30 minutes with tea and coffee being available. When I visited, the place was very busy with people printing, downloading etc... Although a simple idea it seemed very popular and may be a concept imitated by other sub post offices fighting for survival (and good for them)!

Whatever the case, it was a smart move to name the business in this way. Not only is there no confusion around what they do, but you can see their sign from Pembrokeshire! With such a large competitor in Newslodge just a few doors up the road, Newsagent has to employ al of the tactics that it can to compete! In terms of what they stock, there's fewer surprises! They have all the nationals and local papers and a reasonable number of magazines. They also carry greetings cards and stationary, both of which are of a reasonable quality. They also do a fair amount of food, and household products... and they do two rolls of loo roll for a quid... always useful to know! So they are not only handy, they are definitely worthwhile. Big up the little guy!!
