Very large gift shop with everything you could possibly want in a souvenir: shirts, hats, maple…read moresyrup, ornaments, stickers, decals, magnets, toys, candles, necklaces, candy, snacks, and much much more! The prices vary from reasonable to get-outta-here! The cashier looked at me with eyes bulged like she's never seen a brown person in the flesh. I guess it's quite possible!

We stopped in after a long hike, looking for flip flops and souvenirs on our way to The Alchemist…read more While wandering upstairs (following a sign for "tee shirts & sweatshirts"), we were abruptly yelled at by an older man with white hair and glasses, accusing us of ignoring an "employees only" sign and, oddly, implying we might be stealing. A simple, polite redirection that the upstairs wasn't open to customers would have sufficed. Instead, the tone was sharp, public, and unnecessarily rude. We apologized and explained we hadn't seen the sign, but he reacted as though we were being dishonest, then proceeded to complain about us to another employee while we were still within earshot--all very awkward and unprofessional. I would strongly encourage the owners to reconsider how customers are approached, as it reflects poorly on an otherwise generic but pleasant shop. Perhaps looking like you've just enjoyed Vermont's outdoors isn't quite the right aesthetic to be treated kindly here. Thankfully, the hike--and The Alchemist--more than made up for it. That said, I wouldn't return to this store to purchase an Advil.

This perennial nursery is amazing! If you enjoy perennial gardening this is the golden calf…read more So many plants- immersed inside amazingly tended gardens its just so beautiful to be here. So many varieties that you do not usually see or find. The plants are organzed well in different categories so they are easy to find- most are well labeled as well so you know what you are getting. THey also have an ENglish tea room on the site where you can sit inside or out in the gardens. So much fun! The service was friendy and I can not wait to return next year when I am up in the kingdom.

We got there and they claimed that due to a scheduling issue the only place they could seat us was an extremely dirty section of lawn furniture that had zero views of the garden, but a perfect view of the kitchen and everybody else being seated at tables. In our area they literally brushed off dirt and debris on stained cushions in front of us, and expected us to sit there in our white linens which visibly stained my partner's pants. It turned out there were a number of tables that were available. It felt like we were being isolated into a colored section as people of color. They then had the audacity to ask for a full price and a sizable tip for a really awful experience. A place to avoid. Does not make the green book.
