(Should have taken SEVERAL HOURS for this large of a property, according to the manager in Topeka when we confronted him.) 3 weeks later, we continued to see worms. Went to the local office to complain, and they said they couldn't do anything. Later that day, the guy left us a message saying they were going to give us a free re-treatment. TWO MORE NO-SHOWS. A guy finally showed up, walked around for 6 minutes looking at the grass in a couple areas (NOT THE AREAS WE SAW WORMS), and left. The fine print states that they only treated "affected areas", despite the fact that we PAID for TWO FULL ACRES of treatment, up front. Despicable business practice. Uncaring, cold customer service, once you get past the initial salespeople. DON'T HIRE THEM.

I went…read morethrough 7 or 8 monthly applications with the tell-tale spray odor that included meaningless fertilization. Great weed management. Forward to fall 2023 and re-signing for 7 weed treatments over 12 months and to be told by the representative he would include fertilization for free (I know better). Four treatments were jammed through in fall 2023 and only 1 represented a spray truck for broadband weed control but was onsite only 12 minutes (per onsite cameras) for a 15,000 square foot lawn. There never was any chemical odor so who knows if it really was comprehensive or done at all. Fast track to May 2024, Trugreen applied fertilizer to a home one block away that was my scheduled visit. The April visit was 8 minutes of nitrogen application so thinly spread that I measured a 9 sq, ft area and found only 4 bright white nitrogen pellets. I cancelled the service in May 2024 after the wrong house visit and a lawn over-run by weeds. Five actual service visits, one lawn spray out of those 5 that is questionable as to if it ever occurred. Fertilizer spread too sparingly is cheap. Nitrogen in bulk is cheap. Actual broadleaf weed management is a science and requires time onsite. That's what $102.21 a visit was for, but sadly that's not what TruGreen provided.

We went from a makeshift fire pit area surrounded by weeds to a 1300 ft paver patio with short retaining wall. We also included a built in fire pit and water feature. Alex helped us plan our project and oversaw it from beginning to end. The entire project took about two months, and included drainage, lighting, and irrigation. Every worker we encountered was polite and obviously took pride in their work. They were also terrific in keeping a clean work site and helping us keep the peace with our neighbors during this process. We are so happy with the high quality results.
