    They only had plastic cups!
    Mimi L.

We came in for some drinks before our show at the theater. I told our bartender that I wanted champagne and she looked shocked that they had champagne! I had to point it out on the mobile menu to her and it was comical. So she went to the back to bring me my bottle of champagne but couldn't open it. The other bartender helped. They only had plastic cups so I was drinking a nice bottle of champagne in plastic cups! LMAO A dive bar at MGM grand, bartenders were friendly and they had live band so it was not bad!

A great quiet and relaxing bar. The service was good. And drink was made well... whiskey neat. Haha. But the glass was clean and a nice relaxing location to sip.

This is a great lounge to hang out and have a nice drink. It's located inside the casino and has lots of seating. The service was quick and drinks are good. They had live music on Friday night, which was great. Great place to chill before hitting the party scene or for any occasion.

Hung out with a buddy from work after a long day to enjoy cocktails and cigars. Located in the MGM Grand Casino, Whiskey Down has a wide variety of whiskeys that you can enjoy with your stogie. Order options from the bar or tables and lounge seating with waitstaff. A couple of flatscreens, music in the background and an open view of the casino floor, it's not a quite relaxing atmosphere but I enjoyed it nevertheless, with a Davidoff cigar and Old Fashion cocktail.

Inside the MGM Grand Hotel, off the casino floor. Located right next to the David Copperfield theater. I ordered a dark mojito for my wife, tasted ok, needed more sugar and too much lime. Chill dance music played in the background. The ambience is nice and dim. Bartenders and waitress was friendly.

We came here because it was listed as a whiskey bar. We asked for a drink menu, selected a few whiskeys we were interested in and the bartender told us they didn't have any of those and that we should look at the shelf for what they have available. He said they were told to give the menu if asked for it, but they didn't carry a lot of those items. The drinks we order ent weren't terrible, the old fashioned was fine but the Manhattan had a unique taste to it and not in a good way. They did have live music which was nice. I wouldn't call it a specialty bar, but it's an ok place if you just want to stop by for a simple drink.

Rye, toasted, their classic bourbon whiskey and old fashioned

Server recommended I get the Basil Hayden flight. Well worth it, and the Rye was the top in my opinion! The Rye is the best and to wash it all down with an old fashioned can't complain at all.

This place looks classy and fancy but don't let that intimidate you! Very laid back kind and welcoming! No reservation is required just walk on up and have a drink!! Service was a delight our bartender was friendly knowledgeable and made a excels recommendation when I wasn't quite sure what I wanted he made the perfect selection!!! Jose was amazing! He even gave some Vegas local scoop and recommended the MGM buffet to try which we will be going tomorrow! Thanks for making our experience phenomenal!! My whisky tonic was smooth and soooo well prepared! The ambiance is classy, fancy and fun but so laid back and welcoming. Can't wait to come back!!

    Live music and drink time

Big lounge on the floor of the MGM Grand close to the hotel lobby. Dropped by late Sunday night and found live music and a cute cocktail waitress named Jin. Tried the Whiskey Down special drink $14 it was tasty and strong. After downing it I was so lit I could have powered Fremont Street Lmao. The one problem here was there was no bar food available to soften the heavy hand of the bartender. My friend went to the food court and brought back pizza. Unfortunately the WD manager came over and said food was not licensed there and we would have to leave...really ? You didn't provide the food so why would it need to be licensed? Well even though the manager was a sad Karen this place was still fun to chill at. As an added bonus it's within stumbling distance to the hotel elevators :P

    It stays in Vegas!

Ask the Community - Whiskey Down

Is this still a cigar lounge?

I'd describe it as a whiskey bar that allows cigar smoking. They do no sell stogies

Do they have happy hour? If so, what and when?

No they don't. Also, there's no food, and they don't allow outside food from anywhere. Even if it's from inside Caesars Palace. My brother-in-law and I got kicked out for having snacks...and we were drinking their so-called "top shelf" tequilas.

There is a second secret bar that wasn't open when we were there, but from what I understand you use clues from the objects to gain access. The drinks were ok but nothing spectacular, they were also a little on the pricey side for what you get. They had a limited selection of non-alcoholic drinks and upon asking if I could get one of their featured drinks in a NA version, the bartender seemed like he was being put out by the request. He made it, but the drink I got didn't really have any of the flavors described. If you are waiting for a tee time at Twilight Zone mini golf maybe you could stop in, though honestly I would probably just go to the bar down the hall by the food court.

The venue itself is beautifully designed, with a more intimate, sophisticated feel compared to larger Las Vegas clubs. It's a great option if you're looking for something stylish with a strong music and ambiance focus. The overall vibe is smooth and elevated -- great music, well-dressed crowd, and an atmosphere that feels exclusive without being overwhelming. One thing worth noting is the camera policy. The venue emphasizes a no-camera experience, which I understand is meant to maintain privacy and keep the focus on the moment. However, I did notice a few cameras out and about during the night, which made the policy feel a bit inconsistent. Not a major issue, but something that stood out. Overall, it's a great spot for a more refined night out in Las Vegas. I had an enjoyable experience and would definitely return.

The Pinky Room is a jazz/live band club located in the heart of the Bellagio - closer to the exit towards the Caesar's Palace walkway. We waited in line on a Saturday evening right when this opened. We were told that this was the second anniversary of the Pink Room, so it was reportedly abnormally busy with us having to wait about an hour and 10 minutes before getting in. There was no cover charge, but there is a bouncer checking over your outfit. We weren't told exactly what wasn't allowed but supposedly they will check (saw a lot of the bouncers looking at shoes in particular). Once you are in, you got a stamp in case you need to step out to grab food or go to the restroom which is not in the club. The bar is set to the far side of the club with the bar area and dance floor set for general attendees. Most of the area though is for reserved tables that require higher drink minimums. The bar at the beginning of the night was easy to get to but once the band came on, it was a tough battle getting a drink as a regular attendee since most of the patrons were really squished in that area trying to watch the band. The band itself that we saw was great with reportedly Bruno's brother on the drums. It was a fun time and the acoustics were pretty good. The mocktail I had also wasn't bad with drink prices being normal Vegas Strip pricing. Again, love the concept and love live bands. Just think this venue is super squished and doesn't make as much sense for a normal patron versus having a table.
