We have been loyal customers of the Deuce ever since we moved here two years ago…read more It is one of the better second hand stores. There's not much to it. Folks donate junk they don't want, we show up and buy it. Charities benefit. If they've over priced, we decide how badly we want it and factor in that all proceeds benefit a cause. This store is really well organized with a huge variety of junk. Prices are great, especially for clothes. They have a massive dvd and book collection. Even a nice selection of Alaska based writings. Take care, remember it's donated stuff other people didn't want. Sometimes that means damaged or in need of repair. Buy accordingly. I know it's for a cause, but there are times when it's fun to dicker, especially when something's broke and so are we! I've bought cool shot glasses, growlers, tools and OSU Buckeye dolls. I've even found my favorite candy bars at a nice price. Even at their peak the line moves quickly so it's a very efficient process. The folks are fun to deal with, super friendly! 08/23

The only negative part about the store is it is for profit and does not benefit the needy. But in a sense it does because clothing is SO Expensive in Alaska, it really is a blessing to find a place like this. Not only do they have clothing, but they have baby stuff, scrubs, bridal gowns, suits, Halloween costumes, rainwear, tons of sporting gear, kitchen and house stuff, books, dads, cds and albums, bikes and strollers.

I visited this store the other day with a friend to shop for a gift. We had been browsing for about…read more30 minutes, and my friend had even used the fitting room, when an employee approached us and informed us that the store has a "no bag policy." This was never mentioned when we entered, and I have honestly never encountered a policy like that before. We were asked to hand over our purses, which were then taken to the front of the store while we continued shopping. When it came time to check out, the cashier asked whether I was paying with credit or debit. After I said credit, I was told I had to show my ID in order to use my credit card. Between having my purse taken and then being asked for identification just to complete my purchase, I felt like I was being treated with suspicion the entire time. It was an incredibly uncomfortable shopping experience. Afterward, I spoke with several people who have shopped at this store multiple times, and they told me they have never been told about or experienced a "no bag policy." If this policy does exist, it should be clearly communicated to every customer upon entering, not enforced after they've already been shopping for half an hour. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression, and I don't plan on returning.

All in all, this place was amazing but they had NONE of my sizes in anything I needed. Will definitely only "pop" in now instead of trusting they have what I need moving forward. Anthony helped me in the shoe department and was so professional and kind.. He made the whole wasted trip worth the while!

Terrific knowledge of the products, great advice on the best thing suited to my son and I, and reasonable prices for the high quality products they carry. I set my son up with some back to school clothes and a backpack, and a few things for me, which the owner ordered and kept me informed about. They do special events often, hosting informative events that educate the community - I'll be back and I send everyone I know that boards here.

Then when we were setting the board up they gave me the best options because I had no budget, so they got me the best trucks, wheels, everything. And at checkout they gave me free stickers, the nice guy that helped me was a blonde dude with a beanie I don't remember his name I just know he was nice. I also came a month or 2 later to get a helmet and pads after I fractured my left arm trying to Ollie a 4 stair, and the staff was very helpful trying to see which helmet I like and if it was comfortable. Both experiences 5 star!
