It's now Tember's Wheel Inn under new ownership--very clean, and a cute bar with plenty of seating. Friendly service! They're still working out the menu, but right now they've got patty melts and hamburgers with fries, and they are delicious! My only gripe is that I prefer natural-cut fries (but that's just because I'm a bit of a French fry snob). I'd come back here again in a heartbeat! read more

I absolutely love this place! You will never find a better burger anywhere!! YUM!!! There are a few things to look out for such as the hours can be unpredictable and if there are others ordering food it might take a few minutes before she can get to you. I hunted this place down after returning to the Hayward area again this summer. This place is s total dive, but man is it awesome. The owners are friendly and just amazing. The whole experience is totally Wisconsin, and I love it. I will totally be back next summer. read more

Nothing fancy here -- a pretty boring-looking country bar, but a hidden treasure. The proprietor, Diane, has scaled back the menu a bit, but everything she will still make is awesome! Especially the burgers -- she uses over-sized ground steak patties and flame broils them to perfection. She also makes delicious pizzas, but appreciates if you order in advance so she can get it ready for you ahead of time. As one of the other reviewers stated, Diane is a *peach* of a lady who somehow manages to cook, bar-tend, wait tables and carry on conversations with patrons. We vacation near there and always stop as many times as we can when we're in the area. Highly recommended if you're a fan of country bars.
