The Wheel House is a beautiful and interesting pub located in Naughton, it used to be called the Wheelmaker's Arms and is still referred to as such by many people in the area.
It's a gorgeous old thatched pub which has low beams in the main bar, so low in fact that my very tall son in law always worries he is going to hit his head whenever we visit.
They sell a good selection of real ales which change quite regularly, they don't always stick to the well known ones either which is nice as it forces customers to try something new. You can also choose from the more standard lagers, beers and spirits all of which are priced quite reasonably for the area.
The bar is large and has a much more livlier atmosphere than the lounge but is not rowdy or boisterous by any stretch of the imagination. The Wheel House has a well placed pool table and you can also have a game of darts in the bar, if this is too strenuous for you then you can always take your drink to the garden out the back and relax in the sun. read more
