Hoping to have a Valentine's Day pottery class while socially distancing and adhering to state guidelines. Instead, we are cramped into a small room elbow to elbow and at one point for the Valentine's Day game, All those seated decided to take off their masks completely. When I told the event helpers that we were leaving because we didn't feel safe, they just looked at me and said "ok" and didn't even tell the group that they need to put their masks back on. Very hostile environment. The non-maskers were glaring at you and coughing at you. I did not feel safe there. Owner was more focused on his income then the health and well being of the community. Very sad! We just left rather than succumb ourselves to a toxic environment. read more

Todd and I went here last night for a couple's wine and clay. $50 per couple and that includes wine, beer, lots of desserts, lots of appetizers and clay making and wheel time. This was the first time we have ever done anything like this and it was awesome! Everyone is extremely helpful and laid back. We ended up with 4 pieces that they will have ready for us in two weeks. Like them on Facebook and you can find out about their upcoming events. We already signed up for the April 20th couples wine & clay. They always have music and lots of sweet things going on the first Friday of every month. You can have parties there to for adults or kids. Great place to be creative! read more

We attended a Date Night at Wheel Art Pottery Studios as a Christmas gift from my sister-in-law. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! Neither of us had any experience using a pottery wheel and although we struggled, we had a great time. Jacob was a good instructor and was very helpful. He provided us food and good entertainment as well. We both made a few pieces, then made one together as if we were in the movie Ghost. I went to pick up our pieces today and they are more beautiful than I thought they would be. They were pinkish purple and blues and I didn't even know they were going to be glazed. I can't wait to find a reason to go back! read more

There's something teasingly amusing about telling your husband you're leaving him and your wedding ring at home tonight;-) Had girls night out here this past Saturday. What a great place to get your creative juices flowing! $20 bucks for up to 3 hours of wheel time with a wonderful instructor (Suzy) and BYOB with snacks. I made 3 pieces, and she puts them in the kiln and glazes them for you, then you pick your ceramic masterpieces up a few weeks later. This place is great for beginners, but I can see you can probably use it at any stage of your ceramics journey. The pottery studio itself is cool to visit. Lots of artwork for sale and a great place to get ideas. First Friday of the month they have music and events and I will definitely be back to host a party here or to bring out-of-towners for something different to do. I may even get my hubby to try it so we can relive the cheesy Ghost scene;-) There is just something soooo relaxing about having your hands dirty and molding clay. Tip: leave your rings at home and your clothes do get dirty (but easily wash off). read more

We just had my daughter's birthday party at wheel art studios. It was an awesome time and Jacob made everything very fun and broke it down to the kids level. Even the parents got to join in the hands on fun. I overheard some of the dads mention bringing the moms for a date night. We would not have changed a thing! read more

My husband surprised me after a romantic dinner Friday night by taking me here for a private lesson. We had a amazing time! Jake our instructor was very friendly and helpful without hovering. We don't get out much so it was a treat to be out kid free for an evening. Jake is a great instructor. We each made a cup, bowl, and base. And the best part of the whole experience was sitting on my husbands lap and making a large bowl together. Jake even played Unchained Melody for us. It was cute. They do fire and glaze your pieces for you which is great. I highly recommend this as a date night activity or a girls night out. read more
